should I upgrade to osx el capitan
Here are the specs of my mac
you guys say.
< image edited by host to remove the serial number >
The Mac is perfectly capable of running 10.11.4 El Capitan without problems.
You can clone your system on an external drive and crash on him in case you do not like the new operating system. In this case, you will be able to clean the internal drive and clone the original in back.

Once upgraded to OSX EL Capitan with 10.11.15 any of my programs work.
They all give the same error message that the program is damaged. It also happened when I tried the upgrade to 10.11.14.
IM always in operating om 10.11.13
It is generally recommended to check the compatibility of the applications and backup settings/data before updating.

Should I switch to OSX El Capitan?
Hello
I am not questioning if I should move to El Capitan or not. I read the reviews on the Mac App Store, and most seem to say it is a great improvement to the Yosemite, only I'm not either on Yosemite. Currently, I am on OSX 10.9.5, the computer is slow to open applications and at startup. This is my computer information:
I'm afraid El Capitan will just make my computer run slower and kill it, or it will be a great improvement.
So I decided to ask the people who know these things.
Pass or not?
Thank you.
My MBP has similar specs.
I upgraded the RAM 8 GB.
I have OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 installed on it.
I have not experienced any problem so far.

should I upgrade to yosemite el capitan before
I am running Cougar and upgrade to el capitan but should I go to yosemite and mavericks then first? Is it still an option? I'm not find mavericks or yosemite on the apple site.
Thank you
If you did not previously 'buy' Mavericks or Yosemite since the Mac App Store, then those who are not the same options. They are no longer available.
Just go directly to El - Cap.
Make sure you have a good backup and check your applications to ensure compatibility with El - Cap before you pull the trigger.

Since the upgrade to OSX El Capitan when I connect my D7100 to the iMac, Apple Photos load by default while I used bridge Photo Downloader as my default application. I can not turn off the Photos and I can't do the bridge to recognize my D7100. According to the Nikon site the D7100 does not support only PTP and MSC. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance.

magicJack &; OSX El Capitan
Have a MacBook Pro and have used a device magicJack for quite awhile with no problems.
However, during the upgrade to OSX El Capitan the magicJack has become useless.
Someone knows something like that?
And if so, have you found a solution to this problem?
Thank you very much
In El Capitan Apple strengthened the driver signing. See the solutions here:

How can I edit photos in OSX El Capitan v. 10.11.2?
I recently had my computer reformatted and upgraded to OSX El Capitan. Now, the iPhoto program is no longer the same as it was when I bought my computer. There is no option for editing photos. Now I have to buy a program for editing photos? That *, if so. I also lost the Pages app when I upgraded my system.
Has pictures of a really good feature (as with all Mac programs) called help - instead of cursing at people trying to help just click on the activity to the right of the menu bar help and read the instructions
For example the modification is trivial - double click on a photo to enlarge it and click Edit Word - in the setting pane there is an Add button to add additional editing and some functions modify characteristics have a v right that opens more options for her

Hi Adobe and family
I upgraded to OSX El Capitan, last week and everything seems to be working for Photoshop and Illustrator.
I am running CS5 but Illustrator was crashing when I use the eyedropper tool.
I try downloading the update, but it gives me an error message.
Anyone know if there is a specific update for El Capitan again?
Hello world.
I tweeted on Twitter @adobesupport. They returned to me an Adobe said no no longer support for CS5 or CS6.
It is strategic to their side to prevent users to buy the latest version of the software, but unfortunately, this means for us who are pleased with our releases
We are obliged either upgrade to CC or downgrade to Yosemite OSX or OS that supports are Adobe version.
With regard to the eyedropper tool. The best solution I have found so far is to open the same image in Photoshop. Eye drops it and
Copy the Sample Code in illustrator and click Add to swatches to have it registered for this particular design.
Best regards, C.

I have a 2009 IMac and had Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and IPhotos, latest version. While he was trying to use something new, I wanted to download (can't remember what now) my system said that I had to switch to OSX El Capitan, so I did. Since then, I've had nothing but problems, the computer is very slow to open anything and Photos is terrible - I can't do anything with it and I hate it! I much preferred IPhotos. My question is, should I have upgraded to Yosemite or something else before going directly to El Capitan? If so, what can I do now to remedy the situation? Thanks for any advice.
My question is, should I have upgraded to Yosemite or something else before going directly to El Capitan?
No, but you must have insured all the software you have installed, changes to the system, in particular, was compatible with El Capitan.
You can use iPhoto, but you should get used to the Photos like iPhoto will be is more up-to-date and may stop working at some point.
If you run this program, it will show what is installed. After the output here and we might be able to offer advice on what's causing your problems

Should it be iMovie 10.1 and I have OSX El Capitan 10.11.3
Hello community!
I try to get iMovie 10.1 of the App Store, but what comes is the version 8.0.6. I have OSX El Capitan 10.11.3. In "System requirements" it is said that iMovie 10.1 works with Maverick, but does that mean that it works only with Maverick or also with systems above Maverick? In any case, I can't iMovie 10.1 and I wonder if everyone in the community knows what to do. I have a Mac Pro.
