I'm about to buy Photoshop, but if CS6 is coming soon I would wait instead.

In the past, PS releases have been on all the 1.5 years and CS5 is released in April 2010, CS6, therefore, should be released this month. However, there was a CS5.5 released in April 2011 and Adobe introduced a model of pricing by subscription for some scenarios, so the next release date is unclear, especially with the global economy as it is.
