Should what macbook I buy for ios development?

I'm a software developer want to learn ios for this development, I want to buy a macbook. But I'm in great confusion what macbook should I buy, I was thinking of buying the Macbook Air 13 inch 2015 model with core i5-1.6 ghz, 4 GB of ram and 128 GB of storage. I would like to ask all ios developers there is this configuration will be good for me because I am with money for macbook pro, so please help me guys. Thank you

I'm not a developer, but I know you're going to need a macbook pro. It's too slow a processor to do what you are wanting to do wayyyyyyyyyyyyy. 1.6 ghz is for normal tasks such as navigation. You certainly need to do a few upgrades to the Air of Macbook 13 inch if you are wanting to do the development. I suggest strongly a faster processor and at least 8 GB of RAM. You will want to get a Macbook you will have more work, because it will have a much shorter life if abuse you it, that is why I suggest the Pro. Have you checked the refurbished Macbook Pro? I think you could find one close to your price range! If this isn't the case, except a little bit of money, it is not too hard!

Here is a link to the refurbished macbook pro (these go all the same tests as the new mac Cross and have the same guarantee)

http://www.Apple.com/Shop/Browse/home/specialdeals/Mac/Macbook_pro/13

There is one that I see for $1 099,00 with the 8 GB of RAM (you save $200 normal price), is only $100 more than the macbook air you're wanting. Totally worth buying the macbook pro and then

  • Should what macbook I buy?

I think to buy a macbook pro (currently on windows), but the problem is that I don't know which.

I need for the University (programs such as visual studio, microsoft word/powerpoint/excel... and others) and daily use (web, watching videos, listening to music...).

First of all, I have a few questions about the mac in general:

1 - in my University computers are running windows 8/10, so it would cause me problems when you transfer files from my mac to windows, and vice versa?

2 - the files that run on windows would stop work on mac, and vice versa?

3-can I use the same USB for mac and windows or it is formatted with an operating system at the same time?

4 - install windows on my mac make it slower, or trolling?

    Now, on the mac:

I hesitate between the 13 "and 15" macbook pro

For the use that I mentioned earlier, that one is the most suitable for me?

If the 13 ", should which model I buy? Same question for the 15 ".

4-do I need a dedicated graphics card (model the more expensive 15 ")?

5-do I need more than 8 GB of RAM?

    6. specifically, what exactly are the specifications I need (RAM and especially the i5/i7 processor and GHz)?

And my last question is: should I wait for the new macbook pro being released (rumor one with a bar of OLED) so that the current model gets cheaper?

Bonus question: honestly, do I really need a MacBook or any windows computer would be great for me?

If you could answer my questions, I would really appreciate it, it would be much clearer for me

1 in my University computers are running windows 8/10, so it would cause me problems when you transfer files from my mac to windows, and vice versa?

File transfer should cause no problems for most of the cases (USB, more on this later, transfer by Internet, Dropbox, mail) implementation on the network to share files takes a little effort, however, is possible.

2 - files that run on windows will stop working on mac, and vice versa? (I need to perform an operation before the file transfer?)

Not really. For example, if you get MS Office on mac, it will work when you send it to a windows machine and vice versa, but if you are using Apple pages, microsoft cannot read .pages files while mac may lire.doc/.docx and if you convert .pages in .doc/.docx, sometimes the elements on the page will be move due on mac features that are not on windows or vice versa. As well as the fonts are different.

3-can I use the same USB for mac and windows or it is formatted with an operating system at the same time?

You can format for both, but with limitations, for example, if you want to use Apple's Time Machine (I recommend that you do), the player must be in a specific format, which is be the one who does not read windows.

4-installed windows on my mac makeup it's slower, or lag?

Not really, unless you are low on storage. I strongly suggest to do a mac with storage capacity more if you want to run two operating systems strongly. In addition, if you do not use bootcamp to Apple to achieve this goal, and use third-party virtual machines parts then Yes, it will (then), because you're running two OS at the same time, but not as long as Windows is not active.

    Now, on the mac:

I hesitate between the 13 "and 15" macbook pro

For the use that I mentioned earlier, that one is the most suitable for me?

The main thing that differentiates the two are just the size of the screen, unless you want a graphics card dedicated, more on that later. Don't forget, the laptop should ideally keep in your handbag etc and go into an Apple store to see if you are more comfortable wear around the 13' or 15'. The weight is also a factor to consider.

If the 13 ", should which model I buy? Same question for the 15 "

It is up to you, and what is the weight of your work will be. In fact, if you are only going to make presentations, word and excel. Even a MacBook Air would suffice.

4-do I need a dedicated graphics card (model the more expensive 15 ")?

Will you do anything intensive graphics? CGI, rendering, CAD/CAM, etc. The graphics card is mainly for that... and the games.

5-do I need more than 8 GB of RAM?

Once more, depends on how much weighs your workload, your specifications are quite vague and appear to be light, so 8 GB should be enough.

    6. specifically, what exactly are the specifications I need (especially the i5/i7 processor and GHz)? (if you answer question 6 do not 4-5)

In addition, depends on how strongly you plan to use the device.

And my last question is: should I wait for the new macbook pro being released (rumor one with a bar of OLED) so that the current model gets cheaper?

We are not allowed to speculate on future devices on this Web page because it is in violation of the terms of use.

Bonus question: honestly, do I really need a MacBook or any windows computer would be great for me?

If you could answer my questions, I would really appreciate it, it would be much clearer for me.

In general, Apple provides a better tied together interface, this is useful if you already have several Apple devices as they will be able to interact more effectively with others. The requirements that you said are very simple, and in fact, any device would suffice. However, if you get a MacBook, you can have peace of mind knowing that you might be less susceptible to virus attacks and other similar issues. You never 'need' anything in particular, it is always what you want. And it's up to you.

    I hope this helps.

  • Should what charger I buy for rocket?

I'm trying to decide who gets stuck between the two

    http://www.RadioShack.com/product/index.jsp?ProductID=2950615

    http://www.BestBuy.com/site/Dynex%26%23174%3B+-+wall+charger+for+Apple%26%23174%3B+iPod%26%23174%3B+and+iPhone+-+white/8189097.p?ID=1164156736788&skuId=8189097&St=DX-IPAC2b&CP=1&LP=1

I am looking to buy one from Bestbuy, it also have a usb cable, but I was wondering if it would work well with rocket since it says ipod and iphone.

    Any suggestions?

The Radio Shack will certainly work.

It is difficult to say the photo of Best Buy. If it is a wall charger with cord separated the iPod, then you could probably plug your Sansa into the wall charger USB plug.  But if the charger is wired to an iPod connector, so no, NO and no.

You cannot use iPod with the "rocket" accessories. Power goes through different pins of the connector iPod and an iPod connector can fry the "rocket".

What you need is something that plugs into the wall and has a standard USB plug - I think it is 5V.  Then you plug the power cord supplied with the Sansa in decision-making and use the Sansa, the "rocket" connector. There are many of them - Kodak, for example.

You can also check for the Chargers for the Sansa - the same charger will work with Fuze and E200, so search for one or the other. But NO iPOD CHARGERS.

  • Should what battery I buy for Satellite C660?

I find a lot of batteries online, but my main concern is that. My laptop is Satellite C660 - 1 M 0 (ps1ge-02901fgs).

I find that the batteries that claim is for c660 but they reffer to as (PA3634U-1BAS), some reffer to as c660d and some reffer to as c660 (PA3634U-1BRS). I am comfused, a bit is not compatible?

    Thank you

When you remove the original battery, you can see which part number there. In my opinion the best thing is to order the same model of battery. By using this part number, you can try to find an online store where you can order.

On the market, you can find several batteries offered by some manufacturers of third party (without the Toshiba label thereon). These batteries are cheaper than original batteries by Toshiba. They might be good, but usually, they died very quickly.
Last year, I ordered this battery for my old A300. The battery was OK, but I couldn't get it up properly. Battery was in place, but at the back, there was a sort of pressure and plastic was out of shape. In any case, it's your decision what to do.

Compatible batteries for your portable Satellite have following reference numbers:
    PA3757U-1BRS
    PA3787U-1BRS
    PA3817U-1BRS
    PA3818U-1BRS
    PA3820U-1BRS

    Good luck

  • Memory should what upgrade I buy for my Satellite Pro A60?

Hi, I have a Satellite Pro A60 PSA65E, who currently has 192 MB of RAM and 2.8 GHz Celeron processor.

My problem came when I tried to install Adobe Creative Suite 2 on it, but it would not allow me to do so because he needed 384 MB of RAM to run it. I was wondering if someone could tell me what RAM upgrade is compatible with my machine and if it inserted in another port or if I have to get out the old and replace?

    Thank you
    Donald

    Hello

your laptop is 256 MB internal memory, I'm not sure why it shows only 192 MB. This internal memory can be replaced only by a technician. But you also have a currently unused memory slot, in which you can place a maximum of 1024 MB of RAM.

Here are the modules from Toshiba lets you:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

Been having a lot of trouble with the mouse since the departure of my Dell mouse original (on industry).  Currently using a M500(M-U0007) of wired Logitech mouse USB.  has worked for awhile, but is doing the same old thing!  the pointer freezes, and I get the signal Windows unplug (Ding Dong) I received support for Logitech & Microsoft.  But it's still (Ding Dong).  The only way to get back in operation is to force a stop down by pressing the power button.  It lasts for a while and then freezes again!  I thought that I would go back to a wired optical mouse dell; but, thought I'd try you people before giving up.  I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, solutions or comments.

  • When you choose a webcam for use with host character, should what features I look for?

When you choose a webcam for use with host character, should what features I look for in the webcam? For example, choose the one that captures full HD (1080 p)? Or any webcam will work? I just want to be able to make the motion capture process as easy as possible, so I think I must look over the webcam plug before you buy.

Any webcam should work, but a higher resolution can improve the accuracy of tracking. Adequate/same lighting on your face is too important.

  • Should what format I use for my external drive for time machine?  I have a WD 2 TB that is formatted for PC new drive.

Should what format I use for my external drive for time machine?  I have a WD 2 TB that is formatted for PC new drive.  When I got to disk utilities to erase, and then reformat the options are

    1 mac OS extended (journaled)

2 mac OS extended (journaled, encrypted)

3 mac OS Extended (respect for case-sensitive, journaled)

4 mac OS extended (case-sensitive, journaled, encrypted)

See the information below If you can not back up or restore your Mac with the help of Time Machine - Apple Support

When you select a drive to use with Time Machine, your Mac automatically prompts you if you need to reformat the drive.

    • If you are using an external drive connected to your Mac, use disk utility to make sure that your backup disk is formatted in HFS + extended (journaled) and is the partition type GUID Partition Table (GPT).
    • If you use a time Capsule, formatting the drive for Time Machine preferences automatically formats the drive as HFS + Extended (respect for case-sensitive, journaled) with a GUID Partition Table (GPT).
  • Should what MacBook Pro I buy?

    Hey everybody,

If I had a question that is probably pretty common on this site, but what MacBook Pro should I buy?

I'll start my first semester of College this fall, and while I'm still contemplating Windows machines, I'm almost certain at this point, I would get a MacBook Pro.  Currently, I plan to study computing, so I tell myself that I might need a computer a bit bigger than some for some of my classes.  I know now that I do some light programming (an intro to programming course), and in general, I'm a nice user-oriented.  It's really my only problem with Macs is that the price is really high here.  Don't get me wrong, I've owned an iMac in the past, and they are fine machines, but they are certainly costly compared to Windows machines depending on what you get the material.  In any case, I honestly think I could live with everything in the basic model of the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2015 model, except for the dual-core processor.  I'd like to drop $2,000 on a 15 inch with a quad-core model, but it is a little more that I want to go, and while I probably could afford it, it would be cut close.  I looked into buying refurbished models and units of other years as 2014, 2013, etc., but it is uneven, at best, and again, the prices are quite high.  In fact, my main question is, programming on a processor dual-core i5 in a MacBook Pro (and other intensive tasks from the computer) would be a comfortable experience?  And not only swift, but other languages like Java as well.  Any help would be appreciated, especially by someone who has been in a similar situation before, or someone who has an intensive experience of programming and other tasks from the computer to the machine in question.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Aschenputtel

I intend to buy a new phone from Firefox OS finally. My only question is if I have to wait until the operating system software is more mature. I know there are currently two phones from Firefox OS available in the United States (open flame and ZTE C).

ZTE have professional experience to deny their customers updated & C ships opened with some bugs right out of the box. The flame as a reference of Mozilla seeks to solve the above problem by releasing regular OTA updates when they are available. The flame are provided with a show stop battery drain optimization bug, maybe wait until the code base is more mature? But good! What are you waiting for version 1.3?
