• Advanced actions - trying to show a text caption

  I have a slide with 5 legends from intelligent forms, and 5 click boxes. All 5 active forms are hidden. I have 5 variables, which are set to zero. When a click box is clicked, the corresponding chip shows form and the value of the first variable user is set to one. When another click, click on the corresponding box shape smart shows and the following user variable is set to 1. Each area of the click is configured in a similar way. I created 5 Advanced actions, and the action of success for each of the boxes click use one of 5 Advanced actions. The action for each click box looks something like this (I use generic names for this example):

  IF variable1 is equal to 0

  ACTIONS

  See the textCaption1

  Assign variable1 with 1

  Reading Audio sound.wav

  Continue

  It works very well and the corresponding smart forms are evidence as it should when each of the boxes to click is clicked on.

  But I have a comment text caption additional I want to show after all 5 intelligent forms are showing. I tried implementing a tip action that looks like this:

  IF

  Variable1 is equal to 1 AND

  variable2 is equal to 1 AND

  Variable3 is equal to 1 AND

  variable4 is equal to 1 AND

  variable5 is equal to 1

  ACTIONS

  See the feedbackTextCaption

  But even once all the boxes click user clicked (which must define each of the 5 variables to 1), the legend of notes text is not displayed.

  Can anyone help with a suggestion?

  @Sreekanth, which is not the right approach, because a user can click 5 times on the same box of click and see the final text caption. Only when you turn off an already clicked interactive object that can be used. Jay was right to choose five different variables.

  @Jay how you trigger this last conditional action? In which cases do you use? You explain that the first described action is triggered by the click box, but not what triggers the conditional action.

  I suspect that you will have to combine the two actions and assign them to each click box. This means a conditional action with two decisions:

  'Always' first decision needs the condition "If 1 is equal to 1", to create a simulated standard and must action be the text caption, set the variable to 1 and play the audio. I don't know why you added "continue?" If the boxes to click on break at the same time, do not add continue, let the playhead in the same place.

  Second decision "Checker" is conditional action you've written, check the values of the 5 variables, and if they all have the value 1 for display text in comments.

  You can try to use Lightbox composition and then insert balloon in the container box.

  In the ToolTip settings, select stacked position and transition as vertical, it would be a similar effect as you mentioned. Organize the legend, the buttons of navigation in the same area when it should appear as inline.

  Hello and welcome to the forum,

  Possible with advanced actions, have several examples on my blog.

  This will be the workflow:

  1. Create a variable user v_counter, if the user cannot return to the slide, not need to initialize it when entering the slide, because if there is no initial value starts at 0
  2. Create the text of the legend TCWarning and set it to invisible in the properties panel
  3. create a conditional advanced action to be triggered by the success of the click box event; don't know what version of CP you use:
     1. increment the counter - CP5/5.5 in a simulated standard action that will be the first decision "Increment":
        • IF 1 is equal to 1
        • THEN Expression v_counter = v_counter + 1
     2. Check the value of the counter in a second decision 'Show '.

  Hello! I am brand new with Premiere Pro CC 2015. I tried to insert a new legends, but apparently this feature is disabled!

  -If I select the folder "legends" at the bottom left of the program (which is next to information, effects, markers, history etc.) I can't do anything

  has made you then go to your project bin and double click the "created" legend, then type the text of the legend here?

  Then, return to your project bin, select the legend, select/hold/drag in the timeline

  then to the program monitor. key > drop-down list > legends display > enable and legends display settings

  and with captions display settings > popup > standard > CEA-608 or match your chosen standard

  If so - good. But for me - bad, because I don't see them either.

  Edit - Oops, sorry, my bad - I don't see not double my legends, I had 15 video layers just directly related to the return of Speedgrade and had 12 layers off the coast, a layer being my legend layer. The video layer, on which I had my legends was off. I it turns back on and see my legends.

• Lightroom 5.0 on Windows 7 - problem in the Module Photo caption book

  Using Lightroom 5.0 on Windows 7, I produced a 76 page book in the book Module with multiple photos on most of the pages, but two photos showed not their captions and do not even print a PDF proof print run. I had the photo captions in the metadata, but subsequently entered the legend of the relevant picture via text custom from the left panel and also directly in the legend of unsuccessfully photo printing area. I changed the size of the picture, without success, but when I did an automatic photo cell fill, legend appeared in the photo, but disappeared when the sizing has been cut back. I've exhausted all the possibilities of help at this point.

  I use Lightroom 5 because I didn't upgrade while in the middle of this great exercise. As I have a PDF version on a USB key, now that I have almost completed the task, maybe upgrade to 5.7 could solve the problem, if it's a bug in 5.0. My intention is to have an impression through Blurb.

• How to make a text caption disappear in 7 Captivate?

  I want to do a text caption to disappear.

  I don't want to use a reversal or slidelet because their region (even transparent) hotspot covers the button that stops the top, above and to the low States of reversal of projection (I want the different State colors to show). To make sure that the 3 State button colors show, I used a tip action with the button 'Show' the text caption.

  You cannot trigger an advanced action with a text caption, with an interactive object, only those who have an accordion of Action:

  I wrote 'create a variable user with a default 0 ". This isn't the label of a text entry box. You can create a project, Variables or in the dialog box variable advanced actions, that has a button "Variables".

  I used a smartshape as text container, it is indeed this text container (can also be a text caption) you want to hide, right?

• Button to display invisible text captions

  Hi all!

  I'm sure there is a simple answer to my question, but since I have been looking and try things for a few days I thought going up the white flag and ask for help. I am a new user of Captivate 5.5 and advanced options, but I think I have a basic gist - just enough to get me in trouble.  So what I'm trying to accomplish:

  I have four text captions on a slide I want to allow the user to make visible by clicking a button. Most likely a transparent button placed on an image, but for now is not serious what the button looks like, just that it works. I put the button that success, it assigns a 1 to a variable named v_click (from lilybiri blog ROCKS!) and she has 5 attempts so that when the last attempt, it passes to the next slide. I wrote my first two advances of actions to check the v_click variable and depends on what this number is, see the corresponding text caption. When I saw the project, the button does nothing and my legends remain invisible. I'm sure I'm missing a step somewhere but I can't seem to get my reflection process on the right track. Ideas or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

  I am so sorry and once again on the tablet. You must show 4 text captions, every click must show in the sequence TC1, TC2, TC3, TC4. And to track clicks that we use the user created var v_click. The two actions are done in a single decision. When all the captions are visible and the user again clicks, a button should appear. But not sure sicelle last action is out or with the appearance of the last TC4. Decisions are executed in the order:

  Decision 1

  IF v_click is greater than 4

  THEN see the BtNext

  Decision 2

  IF v_click is equal to 4

  THEN see the TC4

  Expression v_click = v_click + 1

  Decision 3

  IF v_click is equal to 3

  Just sent you an email with a sample file. For the use of other readers, here's the description of the file:

  Created a small project (see attachment), hope that's what you want to do:
  • created 5 slides, each containing a text caption, initially invisible (I marked the Text1, Text2 etc.)
  • the variable user v_click created but no value when setting (which you did)
  • on the first slide: a visible button, assigned 1 attempt, on the action of "Go to the next slide", failure on the two success measures (several actions, could also be done with a tip action):
    • Set v_click 1
    • Show Text1 (text caption on the same blade)
  • created a first tip action ShowSlide2:
    • check if v_click is equal to 1
    • If Yes Text2 Show (slide 2 text caption)
    • no action (or whatever you want) if not
  • in the properties of slide 2, press Enter, I attribute this action ShowSlide2 of the art
  • reproduce this advanced action 3 x, ShowSlide3, ShowSlide4, ShowSlide5 and retouched to modify the text caption to display.

  How can I specify and lock the width of boxes that legend?

  Iain.

  First thing to check is to make sure that you have turned off Autosize captions (you can also turn off calculate caption Timing). These options are found in the Options menu and Captivate will automatically prevent change sizes of legend based on the amount of text.

  What we do to be sure that our legends are all the same size and location (if it's desired intent) m is to create a legend who meets our needs on a blank slide and then copy and paste this legend to other slides that we want to be the same.

• Captivate output 9: the legend text is cut off

  I publish a course "for devices", a sensitive project. In some cases, my text on screen, placed in the text of the legend, is cut according to the size of the viewport. I hope that the text would rather than cut across. Regardless of the browser or the device - is the same. On each of the three sizes different default (from office, portrait of mobile tablet portrait), I fixed the text to fit. In the view of the office, I had my bounding box where I want and say that the font size is 24. According to the portrait of Tablet, I have slightly modified the framework encompassing and also changed the font size, let's say 16.

  If a browser window is between one of these formats, the text is truncated and sometimes words are missing or cut off showing only a part of the letters. I looked on the blogs and I googled all out.

  Does anyone else have this problem? Do I need to add provisions to display additional window for these intermediate sizes in order to minimize the probability of that happening? Or is it a setting I'm missing? I'm doing something wrong or is this a bug?

  You must DESELECT Autosize captions!

  With respect to the position properties, I would set the width in % and the height to Auto. Which should force the fixed aspect ratio.

• CP9: Text entry box: Lost Focus displayed when you click Submit

  I seem to have problems with my text entry areas (TEBs).

  Sometimes, these problems do not appear all the time.

  Later a being that when I click on the button the Focus Lost text caption is displayed.

  I came across the question when you work on a project, so I decided to 3 slides project to test.

  1 BER on the screen.

  • Success goes to the next slide.
  • Failure displays caption built-in failure.
  • Focus Lost shows a text caption.

  Slides mask lost Focus of text caption at the entrance.

  No advanced actions.

  Timeline shows just TEB and lost legend for Focus text.

  

  CP9, project that is unresponsive (a new project - only 3 slides), project preview & Preview in the browser. have not yet published.

  I deleted the slide and added a new slide.

  I deleted the cache and reset the preferences.

  The way you described the configuration and screenshots, it seems to be behaving exactly as it should.

  I was expecting to see THE text caption every time that you click the submit button.

  Should the lost Focus event fires when the cursor was placed in field ETB and then you move outside this field and click on anything, which of course would include by clicking on the button submit of the BER itself.

  So far I don't see any bug or issue here.  Can you describe what you think that SHOULD be the case?

• Position of the option button for the answer is not in proper alignment.

  How can I get the option box and the response to align option? (See below). I don't know what happened to get that way.  I tried to change the width, the police, the type of police, has replaced the slide, etc. and have not been able to solve.  Regardless of the type of question, true-false, multiple choice, multiple selection, it is always like that.   Check your preferences to see if you have enabled Autosize captions.  If so, turn it off and create a new question.

  I try to remove all the question slides, and starts again, buit when I insert now any fake slide, he aoppears as above.

  Go in Edition > Preferences > by default. Here, deselect the Autosize captions.

• Import of multiple choice of GIFT but the answers are too long to fit in the answer field.

  
  CP7 Windows. I'm importing hundreds of responses 4 questions to multiple choice of GIFT text files, but many, many answers are too long to fit in the field of response to a single line on the MFQ Master slide. I extended the scope of response to make it wider and it helps to some long answers more 'short', but with the longest, CP7 don't automatically adjust the number of lines required in the fields 'Type 1 from here', thus cutting off the rest of the answer. So I have to manually adjust the size and position of the fields over hundreds of questions and answers in the 'Question '.

  I read that the Master Slide Question slides cannot or should not be changed. I hope someone can help with a workaround or report a solution tha I forget.

  Check your setting under Edit > preferences > Defaults > Autosize captions.  If it is enabled, maybe that will make the legends will resize automatically depending on the amount of text required.

  However, even if the parameter that is the case, I think you'll find that you should always do a lot of manual work to store the layout and implementation of these legends of the answer.  No automated process will replace the human eye's ability to organize a nice presentation.
