Captions disabled

Hello! I am brand new with Premiere Pro CC 2015. I tried to insert a new legends, but apparently this feature is disabled!

-If I select the folder "legends" at the bottom left of the program (which is next to information, effects, markers, history etc.) I can't do anything

"- If I support + at the bottom of a screen and I move the cursor on the icon of the legend, it shows ' display of captions: (not enabled).

This occurs after I selected the file > New > legends of course. Could someone help me?

Thank you very much

Paola

This occurs after I selected the file > New > legends of course. Could someone help me?

file > new > legends > video settings, timebase, pixel format > Ok

then "new legends" window

did you choose standard. CEA-608?

has made you then go to your project bin and double click the "created" legend, then type the text of the legend here?

Then, return to your project bin, select the legend, select/hold/drag in the timeline

then to the program monitor. key > drop-down list > legends display > enable and legends display settings

and with captions display settings > popup > standard > CEA-608 or match your chosen standard

If so - good. But for me - bad, because I don't see them either.

Edit - Oops, sorry, my bad - I don't see not double my legends, I had 15 video layers just directly related to the return of Speedgrade and had 12 layers off the coast, a layer being my legend layer. The video layer, on which I had my legends was off. I it turns back on and see my legends.

hope you can follow it all

  • Need to disable closed captioning when the play bar is hidden

    Hello.

I've almost finished with a school project for my certification ID but have a problem.  I use buttons to navigate in the lesson, but I have a section where the learner has to see a demo.  I have the PlayBar hidden on button slides but show on the slides in demo so the learner can pause the demonstration if necessary.  I also added closed captioning so that the learner can read text if a hearing or there is a problem with the audio.

Everthing works fine except when the demo is completed, the PlayBar is hidden in the next screen, but if the learner has turned on captioning, the CC shows text box again.  Is anyway to automatically turn off captioning after the last slide in the show?

There is a system variable called cpCmndCC that you can switch from 1 to 0 using advanced Actions (slide enter) to turn off the CC box.

  • Disabling of captions to images

When I create a PDF from Word, Acrobat displays the path of each image in the PDF file when I mouse over each of them. But I don't want that to happen. Is it possible to prevent these tooltips to appear on the images? I add tooltips - they just appear by default.

    Thank you

    Bob

Probably, you created the PDF using PDFMaker file, as opposed to printing to the Adobe PDF printer. PDFMaker can be put in place to add tags and it's probably source the spare tet. So either create the PDF by printing to the Adobe PDF printer, or set up PDFMaker to not add the tags.

Legends works on chrome or safari. Only in Firefox does not work...

I have Mac OSX Mavericks and Firefox 29.0.1. In my blog, I have a BOX of Facebook as which appears not ONLY in Firefox... Works in Safari and Chrome.

You can try to start Firefox in Mode safe to see if Firefox works correctly without error? You can start Firefox in Mode safe below:

    • Windows/Mac: choose Help > restart with disabled modules
    • Linux: run firefox-safe-mode in the Terminal/Konsole

If Firefox opens fine with no problems, it is probably one of your extensions that is causing the problem. You can reactivate your modules one by one until you find the one that is causing the problem to be re-activated.

You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

    • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button

Somehow, when I placed a shortcut on my desktop I caused the captions under ALL the icons to be "chosen" so that captions now appear on a dark blue background.   How can I select Disable captions so they will appear normal again?

    Hello

    Try:

    Go to the control panel

    Choose folder options

under the "click items as follows" check if you click active.

If we leave it as one click it will have underscore (but you can choose your option of how you want that he pointed out)

If you don't want underscores, you change the double-click.

  • How can I burn a DVD in Windows Media Center with the closed captioning information included?

I recorded a program in Windows media center.  When I read the program, it displays the closed captioning information.  If I burn a DVD program closed captioning information do not display during playback.  How can I burn the DVD to include captioning?

    Hello

    1. How do you try to burn the DVD? You have saved the DVD on the desktop (hard drive) or you burnt before you save it to a DVD?
    2. after are burning the DVDs in which application you trying to play?

I suspect that the captions are already burned in DVD, at this point in time we can cross check if the option is set to display captions.
To enable or disable subtitles for DVD
    a. on the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, click settings, click DVD and then click subtitle.
    b. click the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to select power off or when cut, and then click Save.

Tom, tell him below.  It worked for me.

Use the command REGEDIT and change the key "SoftwareOnly" to "1" to "0" in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Direct3D\Drivers

and then restart the system and it should work.

  • Impossible to import *. CSC first captioning in yet

I am always with subtitles and captioning and will try to be detailed in my question. Thanks for being patient with the length!

First, let me describe my project and intentions:

I'm creating a movie of 2 hours of play for children by script using Premiere Pro 8.0. All my editing is complete and I even started to set up my menu in still (Cs6). It is imperative that I include closed captioning or subtitles (which can be enabled or disabled) that the audio quality is not the best.

    Here is what I tried:

    (1) I first learned that I could only create subtitles or cc in again. I started to do this but it is very difficult to align words with audio because one) I could go only by what I heard and not on a frame-by-frame line up with the audio waves I used to work with Premiere Pro. and (b) somehow, I am not able to see my subtitles in a panel of "program." I don't have the option to display a window of "program" and I don't have a drop down menu that says anything other than 'Undock Frame', 'Undock Panel'... etc.

    (2) then, I came across an option to create subtitles encoded in Premiere Pro as a type of movie file. File > new > closed captioning

It was so much easier! And I found the drop-down menu where I could turn on the captions as I worked.

    I'm using format: CEA-608 CC1

I tried all this in a short excerpt from my film so I could play with exporting and see how it worked in yet. Still going to import audio and video files very well, but after trying to import the file *. CSC this error window appears:

"The software that is used to decode the media is not available on this system. Install the correct decoders for files you are using can help fix the problem. »

I tried to export the captioning this way since first Pro file > export > media legends, create a Sidecar file. I tried each of the following formats: *. CSC, .mcc. .XML, .stl but at the end of the rendering that addresses *. CSC and .xmp came through. I'm guessing that the other 3 options emerged as ".xmp" because they could not be encoded in these formats.

Another question: I found an option to export cc on file > New > export > legends, however, this option is grayed out and I couldn't try it.

Return to again. When I tried to import subtitles via timeline > import > captions, none of these options (text Script, Script of FAB Images, Image Script) contacted my files of cc. No doubt beccaue they are cc instead of subtitles?

Could someone please help me understand what am I missing, what my computer is missing? I really hope that there is a simple answer and no-$! There must be a way to use what I've created first.

    Thank you!!

    Adobe still * closed captioning

  • Disable embedded subtitles of video resource?

    Hi all

I imported a file of Apple Compressor H.264 with embedded subtitles (not hard I think).

Is it possible to disable them? Automatic formatting of captions should not be, and I would like to use the native functionality of subtitle again.

Please help, anyone who has experienced this before.

    Best,

    Nicholas

You are able to turn captions on and off FCP or anything that allows you to change? And in any case you can export compressor without captions?

Yet because the legal Bluray file makes me suspect, once again, that legends are burned in.

    I hope I'm wrong!

  • Use of captions in slide shows

New user of Muse.  I am building my first slideshow and using the Muse slideshow Widget.  I want to build 2 different types of slideshows, one with pictures and the other without. Documentation and videos are useful but not can find anything to help me to display a caption for each photo.  How can I do this?

    Hello

Please check the steps below for both scenarios

    Slideshow with thumbnail:

    1. Select the thumbnail.

    2. now the legend that you can see in the related image of the thumbnail.

3 change the caption as you wish.

    4. now if you click on another miniature you will notice that the Image of the hero and legend test has changed.

    5. change the details according to your requirement.

    6. Similarly, you can change the cation for the rest of the images in the slide show.

Thumbnail with release of the slide show:

    1. go to slide show options and check the thumbnail option. (Doing so the tiles will become visible)

    2. follow the same steps given under "Slideshow with thumbnail" updated legends

    3. once the captions are up to date, go to slide show options and disable thumbnails.

Please let me know if you have any other questions regarding the same.

For more details, I suggest you to check the posts below, this will give you more clarity on the legends.

Help with captions, in slide shows

Is it possible to place images in the legends of the Muse slideshow?

  • Text captions appear not to when you view classes in the browser or exe editing.

I've timed certain text captions to show at some point in my demonstration. They show when previewing in Captivate, but not in the browser or when published as a .exe. They have worked in the past, and they are working on slides, but not all. It is a long course created by me, so that I reuse a lot of objects and for some reason it won't display the caption of text on some slides when in fact the course.

The properties to ensure that they are visible and that there is no transition, the legend is on the top layer as well.  I honestly don't know what can disable captions of text appearing on some slides.

    Thank you for you support!

    M

You have an interactive object to the beginning of this slide which is pausing the slide before your legend should appear.  This is probably why it is not executing.  The blade is paused.

  • Possible to disable the capture of legends ' click on the...» "and highlight boxes?

Using Captivate 7 for Mac software Simulation mode, with the web application in particular, I use, the legends «Click on the ...» "are rarely useful and highlight boxes are confusing mess.

Is it possible to disable those capture? I can't find these options in the user interface or the online help.

Is Alteratively, possible to delete everything in the world after the capture?

I use Windows 7. But I guess you can find an equivalent place on Mac.

Go in Edition > Preferences > recording > Modes. Make sure that the demo mode is selected in the Mode drop-down list. Disable add text captions and add boxes to highlight on Click checkboxes.

  • Help with captions, in slide shows

I am struggling with trying to figure out how to customize the size and the location of the legend boxes within each image in a slide show. It seems that, once an initial caption box has been set in the first image, it appears in images to the same location and size, with no way to control them individually. I forgot something? Is there a way to customize the size and location of all the legends in a slide show? Your help/advice would be greatly appreciated.  ~ Thank you

MCO, I had the same question and it has helped me:

Thumbnail with release of the slide show:

    1. go to slide show options and check the thumbnail option. (Doing so the tiles will become visible)

    2. follow the same steps given under "Slideshow with thumbnail" updated legends

    3. once the captions are up to date, go to slide show options and disable thumbnails.

(If your slideshow thumbnails, just use to select individual screens, where you can change your captions)
