  • Windows 7 Starter HP Mini 110 laptop lost administrator password

Hello. My sister got a laptop for Thanksgiving ' 09 and that she had abandoned for at least a year. Very recently, she tried to start, but she forgot her password. The user is the only user on the computer. I tried pressing F8 and go to repair or networking safe mode. I can't find another method that may work. She was getting upset because she thought she would never be able to use his cell phone again. The laptop is not a CD player, so I can't use a disk repair or a Windows 7 boot disk. She has not defined a thing of recovery password that can be used by a drive/flash drive. She really needs help and I want to help my sister, but our only option is to post here and wait for a response (may take several days) or go to our local computer store and we hope to get it fixed. Thank you for reading this and I hope you can help.

    Hello

Because it doesn't have a DVD drive, there a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall the operating system to how you bought your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

HPs are normally press F11 at startup to start the process of relocation.

How can I get around having to sign into my account (Windows Vista 7) during startup as I forgat my password?

    Hello Bob Zientak,.

If a password is required to log on your system, then you won't be able to cirumvent it. Unfortunately the users of this forum are also not allowed to suggest ways to help you bypass (hack) the password (3668Microsoft Terms and Conditions).

Remember passwords are case sensitive so maybe that you type a password in the case of bad? Did you create a password recovery disk when you created your password first? If Yes, then you must insert the password recovery disk to allow you to change the current password. If you did not create a password recovery disk then the next and more radical, opion is to re - install Windows.

    Hello

I lost the password I gave to a drive using Bitlocker in Windows 7, how can I return it or I can get the data in the back of the player? Data are very important because by my studies are concerned. Help, please. Thank you!
People like you that encryption data with bitlocker do it because they want their data accessible only by those who have the certificate. The sad news for you is that you have made a good choice with BitLocker: unless you have the certificate, your data remains inaccessible. There is no backdoor. If he had then BitLocker would be useless.
  • Urgent: Cannot log on to Windows 8! "" Your PC is offline. " Please sign in with the last password used on this PC"

I use W8 for months and all of a sudden, while traveling, I can't connect to my computer. I get the error "your PC is offline.". Please sign in with the last password used on this computer. "I am sure that I use the password. I have a flash drive and another laptop (Running OS X) at my disposal. What should I do to access my laptop?
I don't have access to my local network, or any network besides.
I have not recently changed password. I can't restore or refresh because it requires the password and says that isn't true. I never installed webroot or anything of that kind.
Results in the same number safe mode.
I can't connect to my Live account with my phone just fine.
I do not have a local account.
It's ridiculous and absurd oblivion by Microsoft. I'll be away a network known for a week and have literally no access to my computer. I would like to take this opportunity to warn all users of Windows 8 to make sure that they USE LOCAL ACCOUNTS. DO NOT USE DIRECT REPRESENTS WINDOWS 8, BECAUSE IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU AND YOU CANNOT CONNECT TO A WELL-KNOWN. NETWORK, YOU WILL BE LOCKED.
I am aware that there are discussions on this topic, but I want to throw oil on the fire, so to speak, because as far as I know, there is no solution.

    * EDIT *.
The only solution is to connect to a known network. If you are not able to connect to a known network, you can not connect, simple as that. It's a big bug for sure. I repeat, change your account to a local account to avoid this problem.

So I solved this problem, but unfortunately, it was as bad as I thought. As I thought, you need to connect to a network "Known", and then try to connect. It should work. If you are not near a network known (as if I was), as far as I know, there is no solution. To avoid this, change your account to a "Local" account

My theory for the problem is the following:
When you connect using a Live account, the password is saved locally and on the network. If you are connected to a network, it verifies the password that you enter the password stored on the network. If they match, it will allow one, sign in. If you are disconnected from the network, Windows attempts to match the password online, realizes he cannot, then checks the local password. Somehow, in my case, the password locally must have been changed or deleted and so the password entered always was "Incorrect."
So yes, big problem, I'm sure the solution is quite simple, but in the meantime, use a local account to prevent this. I was stranded, and it was a huge headache and cost me many hours of work.

  • Can NOT CONNECT to PC RUNNING WINDOWS 8 - only "your PC is offline.". Please sign in with the last password used on this computer. »

I'm so angry. I did everything and I can't connect my new pc Windows 8! I live in New Jersey and set up my network connection there, but I'm going to school in California (where I don't had not set up a connection without wire/local). I have configured my pc via a microsoft account and now it does not allow me to log in because I am not connected to the internet and can not connect to the internet. I can not update/use command prompt to connect to the wifi/etc. because all actions require my password. I even tried to use an Ethernet cable. Nothing works! He always says "your PC is offline.". Please sign in with the last password used on this computer. "I HAVE NOT CHANGED MY PASSWORD! and my account has not been hacked. This problem is simply my inability to connect to the internet. It's BS. Microsoft, you better come up with a fix for this young! If anyone has found a solution to this problem, please answer! I have very important files/software that I can't simply delete. This bug is much too big for Microsoft to miss and should be fixed immediately. How am I supposed to use this PC for school?

But... In order to implement a local account, you must first connect to the Microsoft account that brings back us to the same error.  I had this problem as well and he needs to be addressed.  Whenever you walk away a network before installation on your PC/laptop, you will have this problem.  Try this... turn off PC/laptop, then go to another computer and sign in to Microsoft Web site account.  Connect with an Ethernet cable and turn on your PC/laptop with the connection problem and try to connect again.  It should work.

    Hello

"What to do if you forget your password Windows 8/8.1"

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-do-forget-Windows-password#1TC=Windows-8

f you forgot your password for Windows, there are several ways to retrieve or reset:

    • If your PC is on a domain, your system administrator must reset your password.

    • If you use a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online. For more information, see the Web to reset your password page.

    • If you use a local account, use your index of password as a reminder.

If you've tried these suggestions and still unable to connect:

    • If you have Windows 8.1, you will need to reinstall Windows.

    • If you have Windows RT 8.1, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your PC.

  • Windows 8.0 lost administrator password

I lost the administrator password for my lap top of Windows 8. I tried a number of ways to work around this problem. One of them involved starting in safe mode, but I was unable to get into safe mode (never seen that option). Everything I tried, install programs, and anything that modifies the system asked the administrator password. I was able to install updates for windows, but not able to upgrade to windows 8.1. In my view, the passwords are, but that's all, I discovered. Any help with this problem would be appreciated.
