  • You need to reset windows 7 Administrator password?

I use Windows 7 on my son's Dell laptop and forgot the administrator password. I have not created a password reset disk when this laptop was bought four years ago - I am the administrator. After reading that others had the same problem, I tried all the steps listed to restart in network mode, restart in safe mode with command prompt - by the way, who did nothing and took back even me to the login screen where I have problems with in the first place. A never appeared command prompt. Very frustrated and need to access as an administrator to download software and software updates.

I wrote on how to get it reset here: http://cmdrkeene.com/reset-forgotten-windows-password

  • Windows Vista, administrator password, does not

I had the windows administrator password since I bought my laptop about a week, there is the password no longer works, (no one has changed the password). Finger printer reader, my impression, finger reads me the green check mark, and then displays the incorrect user name or password. Dell has no help nor Microsoft, called the two, both passes the question to the other. I have many family photos and some documents I want to turn off my computer, I can't get them because of the password, I bought a case that Dell said to do, it does not fit my hard drive. Can someone tell me how to bypass my password so that I can get at my photos or what I can do to at least get my photos in the admin account that is displayed in my full name. I tried to type in the command prompt, and nothing works, please any help, I would be so grateful... Dell and Microsoft told me, there's a way to get around, but they cannot help doing it on my own computer.

    Hello

Donna I don't know how the fingerprint reader interacts with the opening of session if it is an assumption. This method
works on systems without the reader of fingerprints and perhaps on your system when used in conjunction with
your fingerprint reader. Hope it's useful.

If this is not enough you are no worse off as you are now.

Try this - use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.

DO NOT LEAVE THE ENABLED LSA OR USE DAILY. If it corrupts you are toast!

  • Windows visited - administrator password

What is the administrator password? You have to create a? Or like, what they are doing one? I need help.  :(
I want to download something, but he says that I have to type in a pssword...

This is the password that administrator uses to log into his account. You have created a when you set up your account. If you have no password, leave the space empty and press OK at the password prompt.

How to find if you are the administrator
The ORB-press start and click the image just above your account name. In the window that opens, if you see "administrate" under your name, you are an administrator.

  • Windows 7 Administrator password change problem

I have Windows 7 Home premium installed. Recently, strange thing happens on the local administrator account. When I change the admin password, it is accepted and when I log off and try to connect again, the new password does not work. He returned to the former.

Can I use an another user account with administrator right to change the administrator password, it works once with the new password. After I logout of the administrator account and try to connect again, he returned again to the old password.

    Any help please.

I am referring to the 'Local Administrator' or "built-in Administrator" account, deleting, so it is not possible.

I tried using another admin account to change it, as stated in my previous post, it worked only once. After that, I have to use the old password to connect!

In Windows 7, all admin level accounts have the same privileges. If the built-in Administrator account is corrupted, then you can use any other admin account.

Is it was my machine then I ran this test:

1 log in under an administrator account.
    2. click on the start planet.
    3. type cmd.exe in the search box.
    4. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    5. click on "run as Administrator".
    6. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
    NET user administrator 123456

    (to change the password)

    NET user Administrator

(see when the password was changed)

7 restart, and then run the command net user Administrator again and check the date again.

  • I forgot my windows XP administrator password and the returned solutions "access denied."

I tried all of the following without success.

Since your account invited > start > run Type "cmd".

    Once command prompt opens type

NET user comments / add an administrator

    Press enter

It works on computers pretty much all that I tried, it elevates the guest account to Administrator status, where you are free to edit and change things, that you must change.

    OR

Since your account invited > start > run Type "cmd".

    Once command prompt opens type

NET user administrator (or the name of your administrator account) *.

    Press enter

You will now be able to enter a password for this account. Confirm the password and Voila! You should now be able to log on to your account with the password that you set.

    OR

System startup and when you see the home screen, press ctrl + alt + delete twice and it'll show a connection box. Now type administrator username and leave empty Pword. Now, press Enter and you should be able to open a session.

Now you can reset your password from the control panel and user accounts.

    OR

Enter SafeMode to restart the computer and press f8 repeatedly until a screen somes up which gives you a few options, use the arrow keys to the forts of the 'start windows in safe mode' when you start windows in safe mode, you will see a new account on the login screen, titled administrator , click on it, there is no password (unless you have changed it).

  • Need to reset the Windows Live ID password, but none of the standard options will work, can explain

Xbox installation for my 6 year old at Christmas and created a windows Live ID to install Xbox live trial. All is well, but now subscribe said direct gold and buy points. To do this, I need to connect to my windows live Id and payment method. When I enter the password that it fails so thought that I could do it reset in case I had not remembered properly. Then I noticed that I had lot to put up with the suffix @gmail.co.uk rather than @gmail.com, which means the registration and activation email went into the ether (gmail.co.uk addresses do not exist) so the account has not yet been activated... It's so likely I do not know the password but can not access as not active! MS reset options are e-mail, SMS and the client request. Email serves will send to not existing address. SMS does not work as well as I put my cell phone in I of course did not change the location then nothing happens so think he uses a prefix US on a uk mobile... Could be no activation you again if suddenly. When I fill out customer service reset I impersonate the identity test but got an email telling me reset, use electronic mail, which totally missing the point. I guess it was an automatic response and you can't answer. I also tried to obtain a unique access code, but who still uses SMS that doesn't work for me. Hints tips or suggestions welcome - btw talked to technical support of Xbox that were very sensitive, but could not help

    Getting Vista:

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

You can also make recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, when you are in service again.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Cannot be reset CSA 5.7 Administrator password of CLI

    Hello

Can someone advise me please on the following...

I need to reset the password for administrator CLI on an ACS 5.7 system runnning on a Cisco 1121.

I went through the process to boot from the recovery CD, but when you get to the option to reset the Admin password, I get the following error:

Cannot find the configuration of ADE-OS starting

Unable to proceed to the recovery of password

    Leave the password utility

Can someone please advise how to solve this problem that we desperately need to enter in the CLI to change the IP address.

    Thank you very much

I suggest try reinstall the ADE-OS software and / or do an upgrade to the latest version of maintenance.  And then try the reset password again.

Otherwise, I would say a case of opening with TAC.

  • My Windows 7 Administrator password does not work

My password worked before and I know the password. But it doesn't work anymore. I was told to remove the connection administrator to display icon making it inactive. Now, I can't login with the administrator account or the second user as an administrator. The imagined two message incorrect password. The two passwords are correct.

I was not able to save the password initially as he needs to be to save to a floppy disk and I don't have a floppy drive. He could not save on cd or USB, so I never had a copy of it. I have the system repair disk, but I don't want to lose my programs.

    Your help is appreciated.

Hard to say, but if you normally use an account to admin-level during your daily use, this means that you might have contracted a virus simply by visiting a site with an infected server.  When you solve it, make sure that you only use your admin account if you really need to take as administratively reconfigure your network.  In the course of normal daily use, use a non administrator account so that nothing can cause the admin account get accessible.
