Signature of confusion of keys.

Hello.

I try my best to present our Blackberry 10 app to Blackberry World, but have had no chance whatsoever.

This app is actually the Blackberry 10 of an application (pre 7.0) version older that we have on Blackberry World. At first I didn't know whether to add this as an update to our existing application or create a new product. I tried to create a new product, but was rejected as we had the old app already in the Bank, with the same name. I was told that I didn't have to create a separate product.

Now, of course, I would like to than our version BB10 of our application to have the same name as our pre 7.0 version.

Then I tried to submit my application for Blackberry World, one updated my pre existing 7.0 application, but I get an error message saying the following:

Bundle file (my_app_name - 2_0_0_1.bar) was rejected. IDPack is mandatory for all .bar file. If this is an upgrade, IDPack must match IDPack bundle of original file

OK, that makes sense. But how do I know the IDPack of my package of original file? On various forums, people said that the new application must be signed by the key signature, even as older versions.

I can't find my signing keys, and even if I could, how can I place pre 7.0 on my QNX Momentics signing keys so that I can use them to sign my new app BB10.

I sent an email to blackberry and have yet to receive an answer, and I have to do this as soon as possible.

Any advice?

    Hello world

I received 3 csi lines of RIM to sign my application. I recorded these 3 keys without problem.

When I try to sign my application, I correctly get signature only for applications RBB. RRT and CPR requests fail: "the signature on the code signing application did not check.  The probable cause of this problem is entered a wrong password CSK. »

I checked the passwords. The same goes for these 3 files.

    I use JDE 4.2.1.

    What could be the pb?

    Thanks in advance.

It is a problem of password.  I recommend removing your keys and start over with a new series.  You can request new keys (for free) here: https://www.blackberry.com/SignedKeys/

  • Restoration of signature without barsigner.db keys

    Hi all

I want to restore the keys that I had saved, signature as explained in the following article:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/testing-and-deployment/backup-and-restore-BlackBerry-code-SIG...

I had saved my file .p12 and barsigner.csk but lost barsigner.db. Anyone know if I can regenerate barsigner.db?

I opened a different barsigner.db and noticed that it's a file text readable by a little that seems simple enough, if you can not regenerate them through RIM are there few people know of to write your own magic?

    Thank you supportforms mates!

This is the model for a barsigner.db file that saved the info to record a regular SJC as a token csj of debugging file.  Of course the client id is not my own:

#Do not edit manually. Generated automatically by RIM tools.

    Note these items:

1 CR/LF end of lines, all four, at least on Windows

    2. no spaces in the last two lines even if it looks like there should be

    3. it is possible to remote the time must match a timestamp elsewhere... but it is very likely

    4. If you have never registered a token of debugging, simply remove the last line... I remember that's how it looked in the beginning for me.

Finally, if you don't know, offhand, what is your customer number, you should look through your emails for one with a subject line like this: "Registration successful"1234567890"Client application" and use this number.

    Hi all

I have blackberry signing key for blackberry smartphone applications. can I use the same set of keys of signature tablet apps also? Or do I need to get a separate set of keys to signature for Tablet Apps?

    Hey white,.

Yes, you must get a separate set of keys for the signature of Tablet OS. You can get the keys here:

  • Signature of ndk 10 key problem vs ndk 2.1

I submitted an app for OS2.1.

Now, I want to present a version to OS10.

I go to the vendor portal and select "+" to add a new version.

When it comes time to add the file, I get:

File bundle (xxx.bar) was rejected. Package ID is required for all .bar file. If this is an upgrade, ID of Package must match ID of Package in the bundle of original file.

As far as I know, the key that I use is the same between the ndk for 2.1 and the ndk for 10.

When I open the bar of the file _descriptor and select "configure the tokens signature and debug package."

Under the RIM signing it says ' Registered: "Yes"

Under debugging tokens, the same two files appear in OS10 ndk as OS 2.1 ndk. (my first expired debug token so another was created). The device PIN is the id of my playbook (OS 2.1).

    What Miss me?

    Never mind.

  • New version of the app is signed with old/invalid signature keys

    Hello

My Forte.fm application (the only Rdio cirrently client available for BB10), broke from the OS 10.1. I put off fixing it because I had passed to Android, but I want to make it work again. It's a WebWorks app, and the versions currently in App World are signed with the old style keys. I tried a number of different methods of conversion/link my old signature with my BBID keys, but nothing that I've done the work. The closest I came to a successful outing is an App World error, saying: the keys are incompatible with previous versions.

At this point, I just want to sign it with my new keys, but I can't download on App World from my existing application bears the same name. Because the app is broken for 2 years, I don't think it would be much of a loss to wipe out the 50 + 1 star reviews that said: it's broken.

I built this app as sort of a 'labor of love' because I can't charge due to conditions of use Rdio. Really, I'd like to see people who can use it and get some good reviews for an application that works fine in a browser and on Android.

I couldn't find info of direct contact for support to BlackBerry developers, so I'll also here: can someone help me get a working version of newly signed my existing application?

For the curious, the app was introduced with a flourish by launching:

You can use the linked form to below to ask that the BlackBerry World supplier management team reset your existing Package ID.  This will allow you to download a new version signed with a different key.

I received my two SJC files for signature by e-mail. Eclipse asks a .zip file when you request the signing keys. I checked the docs and I can't find information on how to create this .zip file or what steps I have to take after receiving the email. • Reuse of code signing on more than one computer keys

    Hello

I'm moving my code signing keys to a machine with JDE 4.2.1 to another computer running JDE 4.1.0.

Is this possible?  I copied my files sigtool.csk and sigtool.db.  But, when I try to sign a .cod file, it gives me an error of password - and I know that the password is correct.

Of course, I could generate a new key pair and pay $20 to get signature for her keys, but I should be able to copy my keys autour, right?

Someone else has been able to copy successfully their signature on another key machine?  I need to downgrade from JDE 4.2.1 to 4.1.0 - keys are not backward compatible through JDE versions and their corresponding SignatureTool.jar?

    Help, please!  :-)

Using signature on several PC keys is not supported.  If you want to move your signing keys from one PC to another, you can contact [email protected] who can send you a set of replacement of csi files, that you can install on the new PC.  Note that this process invalidates your keys.

  • Signature problem app!

Hi, I have developed an application that downloads a text message and a picture on a web server and php stores it in a mysql database and the photo in a folder on the web server, which means that I am using the camera in my application.

I have a simple signature for blackberry smarthphones key, but when I connect the app I have problems because only the optional files are signed and not the required files, so when I install the app on the phone displays a warning of a security problem.

I don't know if this happens because I use simple signature key or I need a signature with access key to ensure the items?

    Please help me.

    Thank you.

You have several software for BlackBerry OS 7.x and low development kits installed?  If you do so it is possible that you have installed keys in the different software development kits.  To solve that choose the option import in Eclipse and point to another location.

The 10 BlackBerry and the BlackBerry PlayBook SDK do not have this problem because they store their key files in a central location.

  • Create private signing keys

I just got my three csi files and of course want to install and use. Following the instructions received, I double click on one. This opens a dialog tool signature saying "the private key is not found" I want a ridge etc. OK, that's fine, the email told me this can happen, click Yes and enter a password etc.

However, when I click Yes to create a public key from the dialog box box never goes back. No new dialog box is presented to me, and if I try once again exactly the same phenomenon occurs on each of the 3 csi files.

Everyone knows this? And if so how do solve you this problem?

Any help appreciated, this is quite frustrating after paying for the * beep * things being not able to get my app on my device.

Most likely you have Java Runtime Environment 1.6 installed on your desktop computer.

Uninstall and install Java Runtime Environment 1.5

  • Custom authentication tokens

"Adobe Flash Access Overview on protected streaming" white paper States the following:

Flash Access supports the business logic of the licensing stage decoupling based on the chips in use with Flash Media Server deployments. For example, when users visit a web portal for rental or to subscribe to the content, they may need to authenticate by providing a user ID and password to confirm their registration. They might also need a financial transaction. The web portal enters the results of these operations in an authentication token that is sent to the client application. The customer can then include the token in the licence application. The license server checks the authenticity of the token before issuance of the licence. Check token is stateless and was completed independently by each server without reference to a database or another shared state. Token is based on a secret or public key shared infrastructure (PKI).

    This raises the following questions:

    • How the web portal must generate the token?  This is a serialized AuthenicationToken or some other binary token?
    • If it's an AuthenicationToken, then how the web portal must generate a token such as this feature is part of the license server?
    • How the chips are based on a shared secret or PKI? What is incorporated into the class AuthenticationToken ?

As I read, the paragraph refers to the regime "of custom authentication", not the authentication scheme name of user/password supported and as such, it is not to use serialized Flash Access AuthenticationTokens.  What is meant by "custom authentication" is quite honestly, not very clear in the documentation. I believe that the following scenerios should work, if I would be interested in your comments from anyone:

In the first scenario, the "portal" should generate a custom binary token and pass this token to the client flash in response. How the token is passed is an exercise left to the reader. It could be loaded via a cookie, JavaScript or ActionScript. It doesn't really matter. Nevertheless, the token is eventually read by the Flash client and applied using the DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken (...) method. The license server must then retrieve the token by using RequestMessageBase.getRawAuthenticationToken (...).  In this case, the token format is completely defined by the developer or provider. The flash never access client issues a query for the authentication License Server Manager (/flashaccess/authentication/v1 / *).

A second case, which I am not sure would work, would be the flash client requests a token for authorization as usual, using DRMManager.authenticate (...), but the license server authentication requests handler returns a token custom instead of a serialized AuthenticationToken. The workflow would then proceed as described in the first case.

A third case, the Flash client is able to authenticate with the name of user and password standard schema, but the license server may ignore the username/password real name (data can be same passwords and usernames dummy). The license server would generate an AuthenticationToken, but would benefit from ApplicationProperies to store its information "custom token. The token would be then sent back to the customer and in turn transmitted to the same license server. The license server then inspect AuthenticationToken.getCustomProperties to determine the appropriate course of action.

No matter what scenario is used, I have a few concerns with custom authentication tokens:

First of all, this forum has several questions about custom authentication tokens. The documentation is not clear on what is intended and how exactly these tokens must be produced, transferred and consumed. It would be very useful for Adobe to provide an example with its reference implementation code.

Second, as developers of server Flash Access License remain to design their own authentication scheme customized, there is a real concern that the invented approach can be precarious, allowing re-use of authentication tokens. A published set of best practices would help to ensure custom tokens are generated in a way that does not leak the information, allow attacks by replay or session hijacking.

Finally, there seems to be some confusion about the use of tokens for authentication and authorization. The reference implementation clearly only use them for authentication, as the RefImplLicenseReqHandler makes additional checks the database for the authenticated user is allowed (subscriber) to access the content.  However, the paragraph quoted above suggests using these tokens for authentication and authorization. At least, that's what I understand by the notion that "audit token is stateless and was completed independently by each server without referring to a database or other shared state. I don't see how that's possible, unless the token contains authentication and authorization information. I'm wrong?

I appreciate the thoughts of someone else on the custom authentication tokens. Thank you.

    -Aaron J

The workflow for "custom authentication" is exactly what you described in your first scenario.  Namely, the client application gets a token through certain channels and calls DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken (...) to provide the token. When the client requests a license from the license server, this token is included in the request. The server application calls RequestMessageBase.getRawAuthenticationToken (...) for the access token and perform any validation is required for this type of token before issuing the permit. With a custom authentication, the SDK AuthenticationToken class is not used - this class is only used to represent the authentication tokens issued by using the name of user and password Flash Access authentication scheme.  A custom authentication token can be binary data - the Flash Access SDK is not involved in the generation or to consume these chips - it's your server implementation to manage the following steps.

The motivation behind the 'custom authentication' scheme is not to force content providers to invent a new way to authenticate users, but to allow you to take advantage of all infrastructure you already have in place.  For example, if you are already running the SAML tokens to authenticated users, you can continue to do so, and you would just plug the SAML validation code in your license server. As a general rule, an authentication token is signed to prevent tampering. It would be possible to generate a signature using a symmetric key or with a private key. Then, checking on the server would involve checking the signature, either by using the same shared symmetric key or with the public key corresponding to the private key. (This is what is meant by 'token is based on a secret or public key shared infrastructure (PKI) ")

Although the API reference to "authentication tokens", it would also be possible to take advantage of this authorization mechanism. For example, if you have a web portal to access the information on which a user is allowed to access the content, the Portal could issue an authorization token that says that the user X is allowed to play the content Y and Z. When the license server receives this token in a license application for content, simply, check the token is still valid and that the token States it is allowed to grant access to the content Y. This workflow, the license server doesn't have access to the database that contains authorization information, making it easier to deploy the server in a highly scalable way.

    using Windows 7:
Just plug in the USB key and then run the SPnnnnn.exe BIOS file downloaded from the Web site drivers HP.
Assuming that the USB is configured correctly (see below), Setup the BIOS sees the HP_TOOLS partition on the USB, copy of the BIOS and its file signature on the USB key, then run Setup winflash. The system BIOS detects the USB and the partition HP_TOOLS and the BIOS is magically updated.
I put in place a new USB key as follows:
1 rename the partition HP_TOOLS from the hard drive to something different like HP_TOOLSbak
    2. Plug the USB
    3. Download and run the utility to update the BIOS (not the BIOS, still) drivers HP support page.
    4. Select the option to install to a USB
    5. Select the option to create the partition HP_TOOLS
    6. The reader should now be formatted as HP_TOOLS with a record of Hewlett-Packard containing BIOS and BIOSUpdate records. The BIOS folder contains empty current, news and previous records.
7 download and run the HP System Diagnostics (UEFI) MS drivers HP support page
    8. Select the option to install on a USB key. This will create a SystemDiags folder under the Hewlett-Packard folder
    9. Download and run the HP Notebook System BIOS update for the HP support page drivers, given that the USB is correctly tagged it will install the update of the bios on the USB drive
10, we have to end up with a HP_TOOLS partition on the USB drive identical to the one that you removed from the hard drive.
Once you have configured the USB drive, you can upgrade to other versions of BIOS (most recent or oldest) using this drive, as I mentioned above: just plug in the USB and then download and run the BIOS Setup program.

Having said that I'm not sure of what you do, once you boot the USB drive.
