Signature & protection Documents

I have two questions related to the XI:

1. I can sign documents with a certificate, I can password protect documents to avoid being content copied, however I don't see how to do both?

2. is there sort of to the batch to sign several documents?

Hi spastikmonkii,

Using the option of signature Place under fill & sign, you can create the signature with the certificate, which you can apply to the documents. To refer to this article:- https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/certificate-based-signatures.html

To secure PDF files with password, please refer to this article:- https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/securing-pdfs-passwords.html

Would like to inform you that it is not possible to multiple PDF documents in Acrobat XI batch, you must manually sign the documents one after one.

Kind regards

Christian

You can use CertifyPDF service to place a digital stamp in the documents, but this service is part of the Signature.

    Hi cj47163119,

You need Acrobat application to secure your document with password. It seems that you use Acrobat Reader.

Acrobat Reader is a free service and do not have this option.

If you have Acrobat subscription, you can download it here: Download Adobe Acrobat products. Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X

  • ActiveX activate protection document word with labview

    Hi all!

I am trying to enable (or disable) protection of files"a document Word with ActiveX, someone told me that it is possible!

    did someone done before?

Thanks a lot for your answers

What starting point you have? You have the report generation tool? There is no pre-made VI to do this, you will need to manipulate the ActiveX reference using nodes of property and call the nodes to perform the actions.

If you have the report Gen Toolkit, you can use the word get ActiveX references to get the reference "_Document. Once you have, it has a property of simple password stupid that you can set. Entered empty gets rid of password protection. There is also an Invoke method called Protect, which can set specific document protection options.

How do you protect a document in Adobe Reader XI of password

    Hi marilyn mckinney,

So to password protect PDF documents, you need Adobe Acrobat. With the help of Adobe Reader, you can open, read and print PDF files and fill in PDF Forms. If you want to password protect PDF, edit a PDF file, convert a document to PDF, or other more complex tasks, you must buy or subscribe to Adobe Acrobat. Adobe Document Cloud | Adobe Acrobat DC

  • Find password protected Documents

I have many, many PDF files; password protected and others not. Are there documents protected anyway I can get just the password? Jerry.

Which version of Acrobat you have? It may be that it was not an option in your version. Preflight is one of those areas that seem to have a lot of additions with each new version, at least for scripts that are already available.

I just went through the process in AA9 and this is the kind of confusion. Once you have created the new profile (but still in the editing window), expand the list in the left window:

This is perhaps where you can't find the Document. Note that the "PDF document is encrypted" is now in the right window. Hope that helps. It might be a little different in new versions of Acrobat, but the same concept should apply.

  • Error signature pdf document

    Hello

    I have a problem,

When I try to sign a small form with Adobe Reader X I get this error:

Unable to create this signature .

    unknown error
    Support information : CDSHandler -658

If I create a certificate signed automatically, that I have no problem.

I can't find more info in this forum.

    Any clue?

    Thank you.

    Hi garsan9785,

Thanks for the pointer to the electronic certificate from Comodo, it provided the path to the problem. First of all, it's a bug in Acrobat, and no, I don't know when the fix will be released. The good news is that there is a work around.

The reason that the signature does not get created is that when Acrobat is trying to create the appearance of the signature, it seeks the common name entry in the extension of the object on the left side of the field in the form of signature. With this certificate, because there is no common name entry in the extension of the object (there is only an email address) Acrobat gets triggered upward and abandons the signature process. Until this problem is solved here is the workaround:

    • Select it Edit > Preferences Menu item
    • Select Security in the Categories list box
    • Click the new button in the appearance group box
    • Type without a name in the title edit field
    • Deselect the name checkbox in the group box set
    • Click OK in the configure Signature appearance dialog
    • Click the OK button in the Preferences dialog box

The next time that you connect to a PDF file and access the dialog box to sign the Document select "No Name" in the menu drop-down appearance and you will be able to complete the signing process.

  • Help! Need to enter a password protected document

My friend's husband died suddenly.  We try to find all documents with respect to a will or anything.  We

found a document on his computer that is named forms_legal, and it is password protected.   We have no idea of what is the password, and

It seems to break, you will pay $$ for software, which we do not know yet will work. !!! I tried about 1/2 dozen without software and came to nothing.   Can anyone else?  Adobe will help us if we provide a death certificate?

Check out pdfpirate.net and will remove the password. The site seems dangerous, but I have run that several PDFs through it and immediately checked for malicious bugs and have been clean.

Do you have a user name and password field or just a password field to enter your login information? Is your PDF file, "ProtectedPDF" by Vitrium? Currently, Adobe Acrobat DC on mobile devices does not support third-party pdf files protected by DRM. You will need to open the same on the desktop.
