Error signature pdf document
Hello
I have a problem,
When I try to sign a small form with Adobe Reader X I get this error:
Unable to create this signature .
unknown error
Support information : CDSHandler -658
If I create a certificate signed automatically, that I have no problem.
I can't find more info in this forum.
Any clue?
Thank you.
Hi garsan9785,
Thanks for the pointer to the electronic certificate from Comodo, it provided the path to the problem. First of all, it's a bug in Acrobat, and no, I don't know when the fix will be released. The good news is that there is a work around.
The reason that the signature does not get created is that when Acrobat is trying to create the appearance of the signature, it seeks the common name entry in the extension of the object on the left side of the field in the form of signature. With this certificate, because there is no common name entry in the extension of the object (there is only an email address) Acrobat gets triggered upward and abandons the signature process. Until this problem is solved here is the workaround:
- Select it Edit > Preferences Menu item
- Select Security in the Categories list box
- Click the new button in the appearance group box
- Type without a name in the title edit field
- Deselect the name checkbox in the group box set
- Click OK in the configure Signature appearance dialog
- Click the OK button in the Preferences dialog box
The next time that you connect to a PDF file and access the dialog box to sign the Document select "No Name" in the menu drop-down appearance and you will be able to complete the signing process.

Hi, I need help with the digital signature pdf documents
We have a requirement on my project to digitally sign documents. The documents must be signed by a certificate issued by one of the 6 Indian autorités - SafeScript, IDRBT, National Informatics Centre, AUNTIE, Code (n) or e-Milou24. Please can you tell me if any of these authorities are on the list of the AATl?

I just upgraded to OS X 10.11.5 and use Adobe Reader 10.1.4. I would like to add a signature to a PDF document that I opened. The signature is already created in the preview and I can't find the image it under Tools > annotate > Signature. Adobe request type, draw or use a picture to insert the signature. What is the location of the file for the signature that I can see a preview? On a somewhat related topic, how can I add a signature to an e-mail message?

Preview allows you to add a digital image of your signature to PDF documents. First, you will need create a signature using the camera's built-in your Mac.
- So that the editing toolbar is displayed, click the button Edit in the preview window.
- Click the Signature button on the Edit bar.
- Choose the option to create a signature.
- Sign your name on a piece of paper, then hold the paper up to the camera on your Mac.
- Move the paper so that the signature is traced along the line that appears on the screen.
- Click on accept to save the signature.
Once you've created a signature, you can sign your PDF files.

Error HP M1536 PCL XL or reverse PDF document
Hello
We're going to get in trouble with a printer all-in-one m1536dnf one of our customers recently acquired. The printer itself is connected to the network via an ethernet cable and computers that are like him either by cable or wireless. They are all using Windows Vista or Windows 7.
They seem all print correctly, with the exception of a few PDF documents from some of their clients. These documents do not print either and we get a print to a PCL XL error (when you try to print from Adobe Reader) or print, but with black background and white text (Foxit Reader).
The PCL XL error is:
PCL XL Error Subsystem: KERNEL Error: ExtraData File Name: kerlib.c Line Number: 9024
We already tried things:
-update of Adobe Reader and Foxit Reader
-updated printer driver (unfortunately there is only one version available: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4062&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3974... )
-update the firmware of the printer
-Reinstall
-installation via USB or printer sharing
-given a page ( http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00064499 ) describing our problem, but couldn't find a way to move to a PCL 5 driver
-using the generic driver is found here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=4157320&...
-installed on a PC with Windows XP
It appeared at one point that a solution was to change the printing resolution of 600 to FastRes 1200 (both with active EconoMode). However, after doing this another document presented with the same problem. It may not seem like a serious question to some, but with a bunch of users who have only basic knowledge on the use of computers, questions like that can turn large problems.
We also have little information on PDF documents and their source, but as far as I could understand at least most of them is generated by scanning from other multifunction printers.
We also bring the printer to our supplier and explain the problem. We could also demonstrate with a PDF file but could not leave the file with them due to privacy issues. They tried to print with the generic driver but no joy as the matter kept showing. If we send it to the guarantee that they will most likely print a certain number of documents and to say, it works well (I'd do the same in their position ), that's why I was wondering if people here have the same problem with this printer or have ideas on how to solve it.
Thank you in advance,
Eugen Sechel.
Hello
Sorry to answer so late. We solved the problem by installing the HP Universal print driver PCL5 version you can find here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=4157320&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=503548&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4062 .
This seems to work around the problem and also allow us to use the features of the printer.
I guess the test that the guys at the service was incorrect, that it seems to work for us.
Sandy_Sanz, I don't know whether we also tried on one of the computers. If I manage to test it some time, I will do my best to come back with more information. Thank you and I would mark your post as solution as well if I could .

HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR A SIGNATURE ON A PDF DOCUMENT AND WHICH DEVICE DO I NEED
I have a PDF document, I'm supposed to put my signature on and return electronically to someone, but find it difficult. I just want to know how I can do and what camera do I need to have. light pen, pen or what?
Print it,
Sign,
The scanner in your system in pdf
You probably will need a full version of Adobe acrobat to edit / modify any pdf you sent with any device capable of signing.
The pdf file must also be modified by the sender, most is read only for a very good reason, so no one can change the content but the creator ;)

Since Acrobat Reader downloaded DC I can't sign my PDF documents. It does not give me the option more and yes I am connected. On the old version, I got no problem with clicking on "signature" and draw the area where I needed my signature, put the password and "POOF" my signature would be there. With this new version, it won't do that or give me the option. The online help is useless. I need to explain to me how connect you as I used too?
I assumed that you had a digital signature created in your player application of old and whenever you use to fill out a pdf with a signature field signed you it. But in order to draw and then sign you must use Acrobat Pro DC no DC drive.
Thank you
Abhishek

Every time I try to open a pdf document that is located on a server or in our company (so not on my laptop), reador always shows error. Cannot open the document. Just in case I have copy the document into my local PV, I can read without problem. Server is mapped in my FileExplorer (Win7). So boring and big bug I think.
Massage of error: "there was an error opening this document. The network path was not found.
Could you please try to disable Protected Mode under ' Edit > preferences > (protection) "and see if that helps.
Let me know.
Kind regards

When using PDF documents for signature, you need to 'send' the document for signature? Or can I publish the document on my site and simply ask visitors to sign without send me to each person?
Hello
You can use the Widget feature to publish the document on your website. Here is the link for reference:

I'm having a problem at the opening of the pdf document. I get the error message: "Adobe Reader has stopped working" then I get Windows to search online for a solution, but then my document is closed. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader XI, restarted my computer, but it did not help. I get the same message. What should do?
Can you open Reader by itself? If so, check that disable the Protected Mode improves the situation [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
