• Satellite M40X-149: DirectX (Direct 3D) issue playing for Silent Hunter III

  Charge of Silent Hunter III in December 2005 after adding the 512 MB of RAM (total 1 GB now). Game worked great so far. All of a sudden game does not load with the error message "cannot start the 3D engine. Have loaded latest Intel driver (dated February 06). Loaded (v 9 c) latest version of DirectX from MS site (dated from Dec 05). Have uninstalled and reinstalled the game DVD. Still does not work. DxDiag States "directly 3D feature not available"... but it was.
  Game providers are out of ideas.
  You people are my last hope... I'm going 'cold turkey' without being able to launch torpedoes at ships!
  Any help gratefully accepted.

  As far as I know, this unit was delivered with a Mobile Intel 915 GM Express Chipset AlvisoGM graphics card.
  Toshiba recommends to use own graphics card drivers, because they are specially designed for the use of the laptop.

  There you should find a driver 6.14.10.3943 version.

  But usually it of not easy to say why you game won t run.

  Use the built-in compatibility feature by following the steps below.

  Hello, I am looking for a couple of game recommendations for my laptop. I have Satellite C850D-107. It has:
  -AMD Dual-Core APU E1-1200 with AMD Radeon HD graphics 7310

  -4 GB OF RAM
  -Hard drive 640 GB

  I've got Battlefield Bad Company 2 which works extremely well on it and a couple of the oldest games Total War. I'm looking for something that has specifications similar to the battlefield in the form of another shooter or driving game. All this work would be:

  -Ghost Recon Advanced warfighter 1 or 2
  -Silent Hunter 4
  -all new star wars for example Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy games

  Hi people, I have a model of HP Desktop 6755F, 6 GB of memory, at AMD phenom x 4 9550 Quad-core processor, with integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200. My problem is that I bought a new game recently Silent hunter 5, I have to have all options graphic, turned down in order to just play the game and even in this case is slow. I want to do two things if possible.

  1. put upgraded the PSU, it seems that all decent to high end cards require more than 300w than my current diet is.

  2. update my graphics card. thought an ATI Radeon HD 5000 seriesor maybe Nividia GTX 200 series. I have a pci e slot available, and what the devil does ATI cross fire x technology built into the average of motherboard. (which seems to be a requirement for some ATI cards.

  I called technical support for questions about upgrading, and they were as much use as a third * beep *, no. help what so ever. Keep telling me to ask someone who sells cards, or check with manufacturers of FOOD etc. block (passing the ball)

  Can someone tell me if I can update these items, none of the suggestions of product, budget is not really a problem, but to say under$ 400 - thanks in advance for any help.

  Assassin, I suggest the OCZ or Corsair PSU.  Either will give you the clean power and stable necessary for execution of the card of the 5700 series.

  Do a search on the internet on the teleconverters and paste some of the contacts. This "crazy" the camera in not realizing the converter is there, while he will always try to AF lens. Do not focus to perform very well. It will be slower and in lower light situations, or with low contrast subjects he may hunt a lot and even fail to achieve focus. There's a reason Canon sets a limit and it turns off, when a combo of lens/focal length multiplier is greater than the rated capacity of AF.

  You will need to find a site where a person shows what pins on the Strip upwards. I did do the Ribbon trick myself... I simpy don't bother with TCs on lenses where it would exceed levels of brightness, or in some cases I just manually focus (500/4 with a 2 X on this subject, for example).

  7 5 d Mark II (not the original), 5 d Mark III (no II or original), all the 1-series (film and digital) and film EOS-3 cameras are "capable f8", which means that they can still AF (especially with a center-point AF only...) 5DIII can use a small point in the center group I think) when a lens + TC for a f8 or greater openness. All other Canon cameras, including 70 d are "capable f5.6.

  The 100-400mm is f4.5 - 5.6 already... so adding even a smaller 1.4 X, made for a combo f6.3 - f8 that exceeds the capabilities of your camera design. But some people manage to make it work to some extent with some small, carefully placed pieces of Scotch!

  Note: There are some third party lenses which are f6.3 even without any TC still AF... probably by "cheating" even the camera.

  Please follow the steps below to perform a silent install RoboHelp 9:

  (I) copy the game to the top of the installation on your local disk media.

  (II) create the application.xml.override file. This file (application.xml.ov) is required for serialization during installation, deleting the record, removal of the final license agreement of the end user (EULA) and removal of the update. To create this override file follow the steps mentioned below

   
  1. Open Notepad.
  2. Copy the following text in the application:
     12341234123412341234 SuppressSuppress-1
  3. Change your product code Product_Code :

  (a) navigate to the source installation folder> \payloads.

  (b) open the setup.xml file in Notepad.

  (c) locate the tag .

  (d) copy the alphanumeric code produces between and .

  (e) paste the code copied in the value of {Product_Code} in the application.xml.override file.
  Example: .

  (4) replace 123412341234123412341234 by your serial number.
  Important: Omit hyphens. Delete delete for invites it registration will appear. Delete delete updates for Adobe Application Manager.

  (5) save the file under application.xml.override in the deployment folder.
  Important : Make sure application.xml.override has not any additional extensions such as .txt.

  (III) command promt open in administrator mode. Type the following command to silently install the product.

  Note:-1) Depolyment file is located in the folder of deployment of the whole upward. There will be a specific deployment of locale file. Use one that relates to your need.

  (2) you can get error 6 code after completing the game in upwards. However, the product can work very well.
