Are the games that are compatible with Vista, they are also compatible for Windows 7?

    Hello Karen W.

In large part, Yes.  I didn't fall on one that does not work on Windows 7, which was done on Windows Vista.  But by saying that I haven't met one who does not work on Windows Vista and I have a fairly large library of games.

The only thing that I actually noticied is lowest for the transition to 64-bit, where the 16-bit applications no longer works, and some games just there about 8 years ago still used 16-bit installers.

  • I need to buy an anti virus, spyware, malware that is compatible with windows 8?

Recently I learned by Microsoft engineers in India to get rid of my Norton Antivirus because it was a compatibility problem with my Windows 8 operating system.  It was based on something on New Years Eve brought back my computer and Microsoft had refresh and spend 6 weeks to correct their mistakes, I guess.  So I did what they said and put on Window Defender who works, of course, with the firewall and Microsoft information, it will cover all issues between the 2.  There is something else to my computer using window defender and stop all services, including Audio of 7 days.  So, not being not able to repair myself, I brought to the Geek Squad at my local Best Buy, where I bought the computer.  They looked and said there was no way to turn the services don't turn it back on and the best solution is to completely uninstall Windows 8, if Windows 7 is still on my computer, it was.  I got it home and reinstalled Windows 8 and wanted my Norton, which is bought and paid for by internet until December 31,2013.  I wanted Norton on because Best Buy told me that Windows Defender was not good enough.  And they were very firm on this matter.  I will reiterate that Microsoft/India was very firm about the use of not no Norton, than to use the window Defender.  I called Best Buy using the number that my local Best Buy store I was given and said that they would be able to install again.  They said that they could not do it because I have dial up and they do only access remotely with wireless internet connections high speed.  Moreover, they did this for me once, just after I lost it on New Years Eve.  So now, I'm so angry.  If I go to Best Buy locally to reinstall they probably charge me.  After all, I just stood right in front of them less than 48 hours where they could do it then and they said no, that the services of Best Buy Nat' l/subscription would do it.  So now I'm looking for a new virus protection that is compatible with Windows 8 and is good.  Price be doomed.  I need something good!  Recommendations there or websites for more information.  I tried Cnet for comments and could not make it appear that I have 2 moths ago.  I just don't remember which they recommended.  McAfree was one, I think only.  And it doesn't seem to be compatible with Windows 8.

  • What to do if the computer is not compatible with windows 7

I have a computer that has lost the ability to use Windows XP by notice on my screen.  When I ran to the compatibiliy Windows 7 audit, the computer is not being upgraded to be compatible with windows 7.  What are my options?  I can't get a new computer.  How can I make my Windows XP operating system works?

To repeat one of my previous questions, what was the view of your receipt of no longer being able to use Windows XP?

And what if you can recall, happened to the computer just before you started to have this opinion?

Normally, except in the case of substantial changes to the hardware, once Windows XP has been activated - as it was to the company - she should stay enabled.

If the computer is connected to the company network, there may be questions to use as a stand-alone computer (which can be fixed).  In addition, there is a body of thought that holds that any used computer should have re-installed Windows.  A computer company, however, is much less likely to have "bad things" about it as previously used by an individual.

The reason that many new computers is coming with OS CD is that Microsoft gives the leading manufacturers (the so-called "Direct OEMS") the opportunity to provide a built-in method to restore the computer to its State 'cost-of-the-factory' rather than provide the CD of the OS.  See How to restore or reinstall Microsoft Windows on a Dell computer.

It is possible, however, that the it Department of the company that has purchased the computer completely erased from the hard drive and loaded a company custom 'image' right under Windows XP and applications that the company wanted to have on its computers.  If this is the case, you can be out of luck unless you can go back to the COMPUTER service company and ask for their help.

Finally, it is possible that you may be able to get a set of backup from Dell disks: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/en/backupcd_form?c=us&l=en&s=gen&redirect=1

  • What Media Player download that is compatible with windows 7 HP enterprize

To anyone who might be able to help. I searched most of microsoft for an answer, but it seems to work around the race. I am looking for a media player that is compatible with my Windows 7 Enterprize 64-bit w/service pack one installed. Totally confused on this one. If Microsoft does not have to install it, what are the choices to install a media player that would be compatible. I tried RealPlayer. This is not a huge success for a media player to this computer. Thanks to all those who may be able to solve my problem.

    Sincerely yours.

Try VLC.  Just Google it.  Free.  Quite universal and one of the most highly recommended.  It is my practice to install this in the PC to all my clients.

  • Why hp can't provide a driver for the d6160 that works correctly with windows 7?

I've recently updated my computer using windows 7 and am having problems getting my printer to work. Ink levels is not available, when I try to print it tells me to replace the cyan cartridge, which I did but the message keeps appearing always and it will not print, even though I told it to print in black only. In fact I can't print at all.

Looks like you are having a driver issue. For starters, HP provides all their drivers online. I'm going to inlcude that the link below with instructions for installation.

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

In the menu START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl + A, and press DELETE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

find and install SOFTWARE to FEATURE FULL if it is available:

  • Program, managing your money get the version of the file is not compatible with Windows Vista

I'm trying to run an old program, manage his money, on Vista Home Premium 64 - bit. It ran OK on Win XP. When I try to run the setup.exe, I get error - "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows hou are running." I tried to use the program compatibility Wizard. No help. Same mistake. Anything else I can try?

If you get this error and the Compatibility Mode doesn't help, then the program simply is not compatible with this version of Vista, and if you want the program, you will need to check with the manufacturer to see if they make a full install version which is compatible with Vista and buy the program more recent.  If they do not have such a version, then I'm afraid you're just out of luck with this program.  The only other option MIGHT be Virtual PC, but even that is not a guarantee and is a little extreme just to get an old program running.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.

    Good luck!

  • Driver for Sharp AL-1530CS that are compatible with Windows 7

I had the same problem but with a printer of AL-1661CS and was able to resolve it with the help of Sharp.  They directed me to a Polish website to download the driver for Vista 64-bit.  Here is the link: http://esupport.sharp.pl/html/driver/index.php?ProdLine=34&TemplateLang=en

After installation it only recognized as a scanner, but then I went to update the driver automatically and it finds the driver and I'm able to print.

    Hope that helps...

Well, he sure give me and the opportunity to try to find a driver for my printer but it also showed me that Sharp should have abandoned my Copier years until I bought it! He was not a 64-bit driver or 86 bit pilot planned for the copier to al-1530cs and Sharp is not even considering what makes a. And it's sad because they deal with technology rather than waiting for people to buy a new.

While I can't make the Church, that I work buy a new copier that I have the power to make sure that they never buy another one built by Sharp. And while I'm Pastor here they will never.

Thanks for all the help you gave me. At least I feel like I tried as hard as I could to find a driver. And who knows maybe Microsoft will think about an update a day that will make a normal XP compatible driver for a 64-bit Windows 7!

Thanks again and always to remember that we did our best!
