SIM XPS 13 2015

I am ready to buy the new xps 13, but I really need a slot for sim card to connect to broadband on the go. Can you tell me if there is no sim card slot available in new xps 13 and if there is one, do I need additional hardware to order with the laptop, in order to make it functional? Thank you in advance!

Filip

This laptop doesn't have one easy to remove the battery and nothing is below. The motherboard sits under the keyboard, with the batttery being under the palm rest forward. And given that this laptop doesn't have a slot, you are right you need to buy an adapter. You may need to install the software for the card (it will come with the adapter) to properly configure the card.

  • Resolution issues of image (redirect) on my new DELL XPS 13 (2015)

I just bought my new DELL XPS 13 inch 2015 model Corei7, touch screen version.  As soon as I came to explore, I noticed that the fonts are super sharp and high resolution, which is great, however, images/logos of websites such as facebook, cnet, and many others is a bit blurry and pixelated. Why is this the case? I have a pro apple mac book and all the images load perfectly here.

What could be the problem and is it possible that I can find a solution or this?

  • Dell XPS 13 (2015) can't see 5 GHz network

    Hello

I have the new laptop XPS of 13 2015 with Broadcom 802.11ac configuration. I am unable to see my WiFi 5 GHz network and can connect only to the 2.4 Ghz band. My router is the Asus RT-N66U. Is there a solution?

    SAL

    I had the same problem.

If you uninstall the wireless card in Device Manager (select the option to also delete the driver) and then check for changes on the hardware, Windows uses its own built the pilot who can see 5 GHz networks.  It seems that the driver from the Dell Web site is borked.

My concern is that this driver is not updated, so I would like to know where to get more drivers for this device.

  • Dell XPS 13 2015 and update of Samsung 950 PRO m2

When I ordered my Dell XPS 13 May of this year, I ordered it with a disc of 256 GB knowing that I would upgrade eventually to a disk of 512 GB once the new discs of NVMe m2 were out. I didn't do well capture the variations in m2 and when I pre-ordered the 512 GB Samsung 950 PRO NVMe I expected to pop in and go. No luck. I should have known that they would not make it as simple as that... :-(

The drive is compatible physically of course, but has the "M" key edge connector, while the drive I pulled the connector edge key "B & M. I am running the BIOS A05 on the Dell, but he can't see the PRO 950 drive at BIOS level. The integrated test tool indicates "no hard disk". If this seems to be a BIOS problem.

Anyone have any ideas? Is it a question of Dell, he argues with a new BIOS update? Or it will never work because the XPS 13 is not compatible with this generation of pilots of M2? Looks like I need to go back to what happens, but if Dell eventually allows, I may buy it again.

If it won't work, any suggestions on a 512 GB drive that works? Samsung XP941 or XP951 will work? An idea about the difference between the two (the XP951 is $50 + more).

UPDATE: this player is not compatible with the Dell XPS 13 and probably will never be because of energy consumption (5-7 watts). You just don't want a storage device that power in your laptop. The Samsung SM951 512 GB is the best player at the moment.

For the record, I was able to get the 950 is recognized Pro to install windows 10 on simply turn on the legacy startup options.  Once turned on my windows install USB he saw as installable media.  After installing the drive had an EFI boot sector, so I was able to disable legacy startup.

  • Dell xps 13 2015, flat and dull audio quality of the headphone

    Hello!

Everyone knows that the quality of the sound with headphones is very flat and bad? I have no response in the bass at all. The programe of MAXX 3 does nothing that improves the real audio output. Support told me that everything goes well with my system, only that it is like that. Electronic music is unbearable. There is nothing wrong hardware wise with my headphone jack is just the missing frequencies that drive me crazy.

    Hi Martin.

Just brought portable 9343 and facing same issue on the new installed Windows 10 Insider Preview. His helmet is low compared to my other devices (laptop HP, Tablet Google Nexus 7). Bass is VERY thin... Looks like a cheap helmet.

Can't say about the sound in Windows 8.1 (out of the box), because I wasn't listening sound on preinstalled system.

I spent about 5 hours to solve this problem and found a possible workaround. Try it, maybe it will work for you also.

    1. official audio driver download: URL

    2. extract this file to a folder. Install the drivers, reboot the system. After installation delete extracted folder.

    3. find the "Intel (r) Smart Sound Technology (Intel (r) OSH)" Device Manager system devices.

    4. click on 'Update Driver' on the driver tab.

    5. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".

    6. in the next screen, click on "Let Me pick from a list of devices on my computer.

    7. click the 'Have disk' button and navigate to the folder extracted in step 2.

    9343_Audio_Driver_X22K2_WN32_7422.118.0_A01\RealtekAudio\RealtekI2SAudio\Fre\Isst

8 select the file 'IntcADSPDELL.ini '. Click on open, OK.

    9. uncheck the "Show compatible hardware", select 2nd device and install it (click 'YES' on the caveat).

    10. after the installation, open the Manager Realtek HD tray and TURN OFF MaxxAudio3.

    That's all.

After this step, I have same sound as on my other devices. Without * MaxxAudio improvements.

    Good luck!

  • buzzing in the video game with XPS 15Z-2015-

Since a few days, I feel a buzz of half a second when I play a video (let's say a buzz every two minutes). I was digging this forum and found out that something similar happened 3 years (which is the age of my PC).

I installed the suggested Intel Rapid Storage Technology (even if I don't think I really need it), but the problem remains.

Can someone suggested where should I look to fix this?

    Thanks :).

    OK, problem solved.

As someone else mentioned, it was related to the installation of Dell Support help.

After uninstalling this, the buzz is gone.

  • Are working day following or collect and return expenses, the same?

    Hello

When I bought an XPS 13 (2015), the announcement said NBD, I just checked my status of the warranty on the dell site and he says collect and return.

    Are they the same?

I'm looking, to extend the warranty but not sure that such extensions exist.

    Thank you

NBD is on-site, next business day.  To collect and return costs is repair - they send a box, you ship the system and he returned to 7-10 working days later.

  • 2015 XPS 13

New 2015 XPS 13.  3200 x 1800 display love him.  With the help of Dell external monitor - 24 "1920 x 1080.  XPS out of the box is set at 3200 x 1800 with text set at 250%.  When I hook up monitor, all true great.  I reduce to 100% on the XPS and all looks ok on the External monitor by XPS extremely tiny icons.  When I detach my XPS, have to back to 250%.  Any way to make this easier?  Is this the best solution?  A monitor Dell P2415Q 4 K would solve this problem?

Text set at 100% then go in the video control panel and set the resolution 1920 * 1080, the resolution of the external display. This monitor cannot display more pixels. You may or may not be able to use a 4 k monitor. Search the Web to see what others are successful. Also look for others with higher resolution monitors. A TV HD 4 k is probably the best way to view the high resolution. You will need a large screen to take advantage of this resolution without going blind. Yet once, first perform a search.
