  You must have full CC membership to access the simple edition. It is not included when you use CC for individual products.

  You can't move an application from newsstand to newspapers non-kiosque, Apple does not allow. You must create a new application as a single edition, to submit to Apple, and he would live independent, separate from your old newspaper kiosk application.

  The fix came out earlier today. Single-folio apps should now work in iOS 8. A fix has also addressed the issue of iframes does not not in webviews. It is not necessary to reinstall DPS App Builder. Here are the patches on the server side.

  I read a LOT of articles and seen a TON of videos, but can't seem to find a solid answer. I'm close to being ready to publish my first app. I have a folio with items built with predefined dimensions of the iPad and an another folio with the same items built with the dimensions of the built-in iPhone. But now I read that I can not publish an iPhone app using the same edition. Is this true? If so, why inDesign enabled to build an iPhone app and test it on my iPhone using the Adobe viewer?

  Any help on how I can publish this app for both devices would be GREATLY appreciated, be it by the book or full of gaps.

  Unique Edition is iPad only. You need a pro or business account and an multi-folio application to publish on iPhone.

  Unique Edition is iPad only. All other platforms require an application of multi folio.

  SO, I designed an app for a client. They wanted to use the simple edition. I built the app out and put the serial number from adobe. After having built the application and test it we realized that we needed to make some changes. IF changes have been made. Everything is finalized and approved. I went to rebuild the application. I can't, he needs a serial number update. Ok no problem... I asked this question on this forum earlier and said to contact technical support, they will treat it.  They have not helped at all. They said that the only edition does not support update of an application. They said that we must use the professional edition. Look, I understand why they won't let people constantly updated of the simple editing application. But we have yet to release this app at the Apple store again. We have built a test application and to realize that he had to fix a few things, simply want to update if we actually publish it. Everyone that we spoke today has nothing to offer in terms of aid.

  We called the phone number for sale. They have no idea what is happening. They don't even know the cost of the professional edition. We ask them to a page where we can look at the price.   Recently, I've upgraded to a new iMac and made sure to copy all documents on my hard drive which included all certificates, so that I can use them again for an update.

  I found a good tutorial Digital Publishing Suite help | Folios of publication for the Distribution Service to update my application but have you encountered a problem.

  The problem I am facing now, is that when I connect to the DPS App Builder platform and try and change the current application, I get this error message...

  You cannot change the existing application on a different machine than appeared on. You will need to go to the Folio Builder Panel in InDesign, select your folio and App create in the drop-down menu to create a new app use all the same settings that your old and you can download it on iTunes to replace your existing application.

  6 months ago, we have developed a relatively simple iPad app for a fashion brand, used on iPads across the country in their stores. As a fashion brand, content changes according to the seasons. It was created using InDesign and the Digital Publishing Suite and we need a way to update the app and push the update for iPads that contains the last seasons.

  The application has been developed as a 'simple' edition and therefore, we realize it takes an update of the app to buy another single edition and so on. Accept this, is it possible to update the existing application as a new version, with a "update available" in the app store on the iPad and replace the old with the new?

  And it must be new certificates/layout files version updated?

  Just buy another license to unique edition; build folio, export it to producer Folio and follow the normal process for the construction of a single publishing application. You must use the same App id, the same certificates if possible introduce the next generation of Apple as a previous update (for example, Ver 2.0). Users who have already installed the application would get a prompt to provision and that they would have to update the app to the latest edition.

  Yes, you need unique edition purhcase another license and you would receive a new serial key with which you can create and update to the app and submit it to Apple.
