SIMS 3 - Electronic Arts blackBerry Smartphones: NOT FREE?

RIM says that some "Free Premium Apps" are available to suite guests 'Downtime'. One of the applications 'Premium' is 'SIMS 3 - Electronic Arts'. However, when I try to download, it is a request for payment. So is it really free? Please don't tell me that it is the "FREE Trial" version it free.

Please read the details on the gift thank you from Appworld Apps here.

The free apps will be available over a period of four weeks (not all on the first day) and available for download until December 31.

So far, only two gift free apps were offered, and the SIms isn't one of these two. It will be released in the next 30 days.

You must open your AppWorld and on the start screen, you will see the banner at the top (photo below), click on that and you will be presented with the currently available free downloads. Applications available may vary in some countries and according to the model of the device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not receive emails on my BB Gmail :(

Hello today I install both my Hotmail & Gmail on my BB Bold 9780 accounts. I received the confirmation emails "Activation on the server" in the two accounts on my BB so I assumed that everything has been done successfully. Fake! Hotmail works very well. I am able to send & receive the BB with no problems & receive emails in both my Inbox via hotmail.com & on my BB. However, the Gmail account, is another story. I am able to send using the my BB Gmail account & I get in my Inbox via gmail.com only! I sent emails at random my gmail.com Inbox just like a test & still only received in the Inbox via gmail.com & not on my BB. I don't know why were there to Gmail security changes that can cause this problem? Any help would be appreciated as my Gmail account is my main account for business related emails so I always need to be connected. Thank you.

    Hello world

My BB had well eaten by my dog and I just got my new camera to the service. I got a brand new, with all my datas saved the former. It's great, everything works, but when I try to download anything in the app world, it says without credentials cached, error id: 40721. I have tried everything that I found online in the forums (because many people have the same problem), but nothing has worked. My camera thinks I have no network connection, while I'm abee to use the browser. I could not download apps via my PC. Because they say that I am not connected to the network, he does allow me to do something. Any ideas?

    Thanx

    Hi csippesz,

So that means you lack the services from your provider that I have already said, you call your Service provider to send the book to your BlackBerry smartphone as you had passed to a new device and your device is not he them.

    So give them a call.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If any stage does not properly complete, proceed to the subsequent steps will be useless... and you will need to contact your mobile provider for formal support. It's their network that your BB is unable to communicate with, after all.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not able to get my phone to work unless in safe mode

There are two problems I see. Yesterday, I've updated througn Office of BB online. I have now deleted the BB 7.1.0 CoreApplications four times. When I start my phone one of the two things happening. I can enter my password, but when I hit the key enter the phone crashes and will only go to safe mode. The second thing that happens is it accepts my password, but immediately the following message - Eception Exception: Java.Lang.Error there is an option to click OK but when I get my BB freezes. I have installed and uninstalled all languages twice, I restarted a dozen times or more, I reinstalled a version more ancient dating back months and not seen no change to these questions. I can work the phone in safe mode, but this isn't a solution. I find this very frustrating. I would also like to be able to talk to a human being on this subject but can't find a number on your website. A WTF happening? I'm about to launch this phone in the tray and get an IPhone!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I think that you may need to perform a clean reload OS... from your post, I can't quite tell if you did that.

Please visit this official download portal as you go along. If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. After installing the operating system on your PC package, please remember to remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

All support first line begins with mobile service providers, to the place of origin of purchase or an authorized service center (it varies according to the region and the specific question). Undue salvation,

    Welcome to the support community!

You are able to test with another battery? If this does not help, and if you have access to a computer, I recommend to backup your data using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software and perform a clean reload of your BlackBerry® Device Software in order to avoid any problem of software that can be the cause of the black screen. For additional instructions, see the following KB articles.

For Windows®: "how to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows' http://bbry.lv/GI9beY
For Mac: "Perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry smartphone application software on a Mac using BlackBerry Desktop Software" http://bbry.lv/J0UN1U

Please verify that the problem has been solved before restoring all the data from your backup file. If the problem is not resolved by the steps above, then I suggest to contact your service provider for other options.

    I hope this helps.

Send emails to others of my phone

See the emails I sent from the web client on my phone as a message

    Here's what I can't do:

Receive emails on my phone. It's just a big shipping box.

It may be that my credentials are wrong because it still works as an Outbox. This is no more an Inbox. I checked that I have active mobile network. and I certainly have a clear enough signal. I can use the web browser to access web pages, and it should be noted that I used to be able to send and receive e-mails even when I didn't have enough signal/cover for the web browser.

    OK - try this process...

    (1) remove, on the BB AppWorld - if she invites you for a reboot, let him

    (2) not restarting batt - shoot exactly as I've described above

    (3) get a new link and DL/install AppWorld:

    (4) again, if asked for a restart, let him.

    (5) perform other batt-sweater software

    (6) leave your BB to completely restart (wait until he is in normal response mode - I have to wait about a minute, even though the screen makes me thing he did everything... he responds very slow if I don't expect).

    (7) try to run AppWorld now...

  • BlackBerry, change of sim card and ID blackberry Smartphones roaming charges

I did a little research and although have found similar cases, I'm not quite sure if this has been covered completely. Please forgive me if it has.

I'm going abroad in Germany for a year, and it is useless to cancel me my current plan of the monthly British payroll with Vodaphone. As far as I know my blackberry is unlocked at the international level - I put an old, German o2 pay as you go sim in my phone. Seemed to work very well (sign of o2 Germany, received a message on homelessness in the UK, etc.), but I had no credit so couldn't test. I registered again my user ID of blackberry on my home wi-fi. But other that I couldn't do much to verify the extent of my use.

However, I heard various accounts of not being able to use e-mail, internet, wipe the contacts, etc..

If someone could clarify this, here are my questions:

    • If I take my sim UK vodaphone, is anyway I have accumulate roaming charges? Is my blackberry ID, potentially with a new German supplier, related to my old?
    • Will he make any question tries to access my email, bbm, whatsapp, etc., with a different number and in a different country.

One has experience in this area, in Germany (a long shot), Europe or world? It seems that the whole ID blackberry complicates things.

My phone is a Blackberry Bold 9900, AFAIK its software wise update - I have updated today with the "Bundle 2061 7.1" I think.

    Thank you

    J.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are a number of problems to know for what you propose... Here are my thoughts... (Note that I have traveled internationally widely enough with a BB).

If you activate a plan of itinerant international with the support of your home, you should be able to keep your current SIM card in your BB and have all the features anywhere where you are allowed (according to what your home carrier active). Costs are not small in general, but your home operator is the only entity that can tell you if it will work and for how much money. My personal experience with this method was difficult, it took two 'stranded' international travel before my carrier home could properly configure my account for full international roaming I needed. And once my BB was out of my home network, there was nothing else they could do... so the two 'fail' the TRIPS Agreement.

Given that your BB is unlocked, you can use it on other carriers, simply by changing your SIM card. But with BB, it is not quite as simple as that.

No BB does exist (indeed, no device anywhere that I know of) that has all the radio technologies/frequencies within the view are just too many in the world. Thus, your first task is to ensure that your BB has the ability to the same function on the support networks you want to use it on. You must study the capabilities of your specific BB against the requirements of networks you will operate on... you may need to ask those network operators for more details.

If this element is satisfied, which then verifies that you have services at the level of the voice (calls, voice mail, SMS). But for level data services, increase complications.

Each company chooses patterns specific to BB (by model number) that they will promote "automatically". I do not know the carriers that have their network configured to support all the model numbers of BB. If the carrier you wish to automatically use your BB model number on media, then their system will be able to automatically deliver to your BB Service books required in order to activate the BB exclusive services (email, BBM, etc.). But, if their network does not natively support your specific model BB number, then their network is not likely to be able to automatically deliver these Service for your BB books... which will prevent the use of their network BB exclusive services. Again, you must inquire carriers on which you want to run if your specific model BB number is supported by their network for the automatic distribution of maintenance book.

In addition, it is to ensure that your home carrier frees your BB PIN of their system of BIS. A BB PIN can exist in only one carrier BIS system anywhere in the world... so if your home carrier doesn't release him, then the other carrier will not be able to allocate a BIS account for you, and you still won't be able to use services BIS of them. In this case, it is usually a matter of contact your supplier of home and convince them to release your BB PIN of their system of BIS.

If all goes well and all the conditions are met, then it can be quite transparent to switch between carriers, simply by changing your SIM card, ensure that each SIM card includes good BIS Services this carrier of course.
But if anything this either in the chain requirements above fails, it can sometimes be frustrating to make the things work pretty well (reminds me of my two "failed" international travel).

So, with all this as preamble, now to your questions...

    jpfp wrote:

    • If I take my sim UK vodaphone, is anyway I have accumulate roaming charges? Is my blackberry ID, potentially with a new German supplier, related to my old? J.

Given what you describe, I see no for Vodaphone to charge you roaming charges. Without their SIM in your BB, your BB may not even try to use any resource of Vodaphone. But, you will need to get confirmation of Vodaphone on this point... so that they control all services, billing, etc. for your account. BB services you are subordinate to your main carrier services... you need the services of the main carrier to provide network connectivity services BB riding on this network connection.

    jpfp wrote:

    • Will he make any question tries to access my email, bbm, whatsapp, etc., with a different number and in a different country.

There are always opportunities for questions. When you use a different SIM card, you are constrained to some services that provide the SIM. If it does not, for example, BIS level services, then you won't access to people. Similarly, if there is some government restrictions for some services, you can be restricted from that as well. If you get a SIM card with full services of BIS and, as described above, you spent all of the required components that I have listed, then you should be able to have all the services you listed. It is possible that you may need to reconfigure your email... There are stories about these configurations if shattered when change carriers... but the BBID integration is intended to facilitate this exact type of change of carrier, so it should not happen. But don't we can, of course, no promises.

    Good luck!

I just changed my 8820 to "BOLD" bosses.  Do you have the switch using the software via his computer and all the news switched to fine.  Take out SIM card the 8820 and placed in the "BOLD" and everything still seemed to work properly.  It's been about 12:30 and 15:50, she called to tell me that she had not yet received a new message of electronic mail on his "BOLD".  It takes awhile to kick service?  Was it something that I had to "turn on" to allow him to begin to receive emails?  She is just using an AOL account...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not able to access the internet with the new carrier

I use a curve 9220. I was using the Vodafone network. But just shifted to Airtel. I inserted the sim card in the handset. Signals come very well. But I'm unable to access the internet even though I subscribed to a prepaid internet pack.  The messege is coming like this:

Navigation via the cellular network is not part of the includedas of your current service plan. To browse the web, you should use the Wi - Fi or contact your service provider to change your service plan.

When went to Airtel site for mobile internet settings, I had something like this:

Your handset does not support live Internet settings. Please refer to the table below to configure the settings manually.

    Name of the parameter
    Account name: Airtel (GPRS)
    User name:
    Password:

Data carrier: GPRS or packet data
    Access point name: airtelgprs.com

Only with BlackBerry 10 you can navigate without BIS, with old devices don't.
