Site Web Background Image tiling problem in CS4

Illustrator CS4:

Don't know if it's a quest of Illustrator or a quest for web developer, but here goes:

I want the bottom of my main content is white with an opacity of about 90%, so you can still see a bit of the background of major Web sites behind the content.

I created a file in illustrator which is 1 "x 1", then called a rectangle that is slightly larger than the work plan and filled with white with a 90% opacity.

Then, I saved for the web and devices in format png-24.  When I put the image as the bg I got the desired opacity effect however, there is a thin clear border around each instance in the image mosaic.  I see nothing in my html or css which is originally the border.  I also tried to make the image smaller and bigger and still the border.

You can see the site here: http://www.buffalomooncoffee.com

the main image of bg beans appeared also in illustrator cs4 and tiles perfectly at 300px x 300px, but when I tried to do this smaller image (x 150px 150px) for faster website loading, he also had a kind of border, but to 300px works.

Any help is appreciated.

It's a web dev question.

Why the image? Using an image is not necessary. Fill a div with #fff one together, it's opacity a.8 and 80 using CSS. All browsers that support PNG24 will also support opacity in CSS settings. And no image no: load faster.

Just for the record, a tiling 1x1px image is really bad more. Due to the size of the screen today, it takes a browser to always draw all these images, make the most important tiles if they are needed. I usually make them as large as possible, as long as they are less than 5 k. But that's me.

As for your image and lines, they are very likely due to anti-aliasing in Illustrator. You will want to uncheck the anti-alias work option in preferences, then save.

  • Site wide background image

    I am trying to create a background image no rehearsal for my site but after following these steps I always can not see an image in the background. Here's what I did.

    1. first of all, I created a new text file named "background.css". In this file, I placed the following code.

    {body

    background: url ("http://www.mywebsite/pools/images/backgrounds/blue_sky.jpg harper") 50% 50% no-repeat;

    }

    2. I then added the following code between the head of <>< / head > tags in the index.html page.

    " < link rel = StyleSheet href = ' http://www.mywebsite/Harper " pools/css/background.css" type = "text/css" >

    3. then I placed the background image in (harper pools/images/backgrounds/blue-sky.jpg)

    4. Finally, I downloaded everything, but I can't see a background image.

    If anyone has an idea of what is wrong, I would be happy. Thank you.

  • background image display problem when using Theme1

    Hi all
    I encountered a strange problem.
    I am trying to use a picture as a background for my login page.
    I uploaded the image to the application, and I added this line to the part of HTML header to page 101:
    < body background = "#WORKSPACE_IMAGES #eagle.jpg" >

    the problem is that if I use Theme1 as the theme of the application - the image does not appear.
    When I spent the 13 theme - the image is displayed.
    of course - I want to use theme1 as the theme of the application

    can anyone help?

    Thank you

    First of all, always include the following information when you post a question:

    -APEX version
    -Edition and version DB
    -Web server architecture (EPG, SST or APEX listener)
    -The browsers used
    -Theme
    -Models
    -Type of zone

    Some of them may not apply to every issue or the possible solution, but it saves time in detection for more information.

    The issue in hand, I start from the principle of the described behavior that this is Apex 4.0...

    It is either:

    An illustration of the difference between Quirks mode and standards mode rendering. The former -triggered by the absence of a declaration DOCTYPE in 13 theme page templates- allows the browser to attempt to make some soup tag is launched on it. In this case, it would be the presence of 2 pieces of bodywork on the page, which is caused by the addition of

    via the HTML header to a page that already has a body of the template of the page element.

    OR

    It is caused by the theme 1 style sheet by specifying a rule of background rather than a rule of the background color as the theme 13.

    In any case, the background attribute attribute has been deprecated for 11 years + and should not be used at all, and as I have already said, all the pages already include a body element in their model, so the addition of another - for some reason-via the header HTML is also completely the wrong approach.

    (X) HTML is used to provide the structure of a page; CSS to control the presentation. The backgrounds are presentationnelle, so are implemented using CSS. Add the following style sheet in the header HTML page will provide the equivalent of the background HTML attribute in theme 1:

  • How can I get a background image sensitive identical to the junction College Web site?

    Hello!

    I tried hard to figure out how to get the same effect that has College Junction - home - daily well-being all together . More specifically, the ability to resize the window of my browser and have scale of the background image to size without image quality loss. I have a 1920 x 1034 image. The width of my page is fixed to 800px. Then I fill an object with my image (suitable size) and apply the function of width of 100%. When I saw these settings in the browser, I'm able to resize the upper window of the page of 800px with desirable effect of the image scaled to fit the browser BUT the image loses quality (resolution).

    I bought the QooQee Widget: Smart 1.1 and I'm able to do a little bit reactive recess with her, but I have not found a way to create the same effect as the junctions of college. The best I can do is create an effect similar but end with gray side bars when I resize the browser to one size other than the proportions of the image. (see below)

    It was a little maddening for me. I have to do something wrong. Maybe my page properties were not correctly setup? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    More specifically, the ability to resize the window of my browser and have scale of the background image to size without image quality loss.

    There is no such thing, and there may be - for simple mathematical reasons. The web site that you referenced uses magical, just a very large image (oversized) that most of the browsers is not displayed to the maximum size one way or another. It's an illusion at low cost. The only other factor is the pixel, scaling the browser and in the case of Chrome algorithms, they are dependent on the GPU acceleration, so it's more likely something is wrong with that, if you really see the degradation.

  • How to allow visitors to change the background image of my site?

    Hello.

    I wanted that my visitors to be able to change the background image to another image. Already, I know how to do it with the colors but doesn't seem to work wih images. You are able to do this on Google, but can not seem to find it anywhere online. I just want it to change while the visitor is on the site. for example

    1 visitor - context changes to-myarea.jpg

    2 visitor - context changes to-my cat.jpg

    and so on...

    This would not change the site forever, just at the point where the visitor is about it.

    Concerning

    Leon

    Here are a few ways to do this:

    Option #1:

    You'll need a JavaScript script and an array on the page background images.

    An example of work below.  View source in the browser to see the code.

    http://ALT-Web.com/BG-img.html

    Option #2:

    Create more than one style sheet with different colors and background - images of the body.

    Create a selector of stylesheet like this with jQuery

  • The table cell background image problem-

    I'm sure it's something super simple, but I can't see what it is. I'm working in Dreamweaver CS3, but having to modify the code by hand, because the code is not validated I fight to clean up the last error on this page before applying the model it is based on the rest of my site...

    This page was based on the original model: http://jpcltdservices.com/template-page.html

    As you can see by the w3C validator, it had a number of problems with the tags for the table background image:

    http://validator.w3.org/check?URI=http%3A%2f%2Fjpcltdservices.com%2Ftemplate-page.html & cha rset = (detect + automatically) & doctype = Inline & group = 0 & verbose = 1 & st = 1 & user-agent = W3C_Validator %2F1.606

    I cleaned up by adding the table background image css to my stylesheet main and changed the code in the page for suggested type reference.

    http://jpcltdservices.com/Alternate_template_page.html

    W3C validator shows now only 1 error:

    http://validator.w3.org/check?URI=http%3A%2f%2Fjpcltdservices.com%2FAlternate_template_pag.html & charset = (detect + automatically) & doctype = Inline & group = 0 & verbose = 1 & st = 1 & = _Validator%2F1.606 W3C user agent

    The problem is, if I replace the background = "Images/CellBG1sm.jpg td' on line 34 with style ="background-image"td tag that works on line 27, the background image disappears completely from the whole table!"

    I'm sure it's something super simple, but I can't see it. I'm working in Dreamweaver CS3, but having to modify the code by hand, because the code it generates does not validate in many cases.

    You seem to be sensational. The CSS validator is another object of value
    tool: http://jigsaw.w3.org . I suspect this first error to main.css is
    the incorrect syntax used here:

    background-image: {"url... / Images/CellBG1sm.jpg";}
    ' background-repeat: repeat;
    }

    Go ahead and remove this rule completely.

    For an inline style, try this:

    But it might be better to remove all those inline styles and use your
    external main.CSS. For example, you are not currently using. MainContent,
    so maybe it's a good place:

    . MainContent {}
    do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without-serif, Tahoma;
    color: #3F3F61;
    do-size: 100%;
    background-image: URL("Images/CellBG1sm.jpg");
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 0;
    Width: 790px;
    }

    Then, in the table cell or appropriate:
