  • Internet high speed test EA6500

    Hi guys,.

    Sorry for my English.

I have a problem with the speed of my ADSL line (20Mega). Now, I have the following components:

Dlink DSL-320 b (modem) + Cisco Linksys EA6500. If I start a speed test result its only 4 M for download, while I remove the router and I connect my Pc directly to the modem, the speed test results his 13-14M.

Why? Is there an option in the router that I have to change?

    Help please.

    THX

You have enabled media prioritization? It is probably the case. You can disable this feature. Better yet, the update of the firmware of your router. This should solve the problem. Visit the Page in Support of EA6500 to the latest firmware.

  • WRT160N router wireless and speed Test

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me.  I've just changed in the old Netgear G router to a router cisco Linksys N.  When I'm connected wireless sitting next to the modem and the router of my speed test shows more than 20 on the download, but when I go up a floor in the House it drops at least 2 on the download.  I thought that this router was supposed to expand the range and allow more devices to connect wireless taken less bandwidth.  Is there something I can do to improve the speed in addition to spending my router wireless on the main floor where is most of the navigation on the internet?

Hahahaha WOW no no not the router to the modem worked!  I went from 1.5 on 15 on downloading downloading when I had about one foot apart from each other!  Awesome.  I have not been very high over the years!

  • Ookla speed test, router, there is a problem with Flash Player

I use Dell laptop, running Windows 7, IE11 browsers with Chrome. The router I have is a Linksys AE6900, with built in functionality of Ookla speed test,.

who has recently stopped working. It comes to getting the error message:

FireShot Screen Capture #008 - Linksys Smart Wi-Fi - linksyssmartwifi_com_ui_1_0_99_161129_dynamic_home_html (640x303).jpgSo, I'm not sure if it's a close routerelp, or a Flash Player problem. Anyone

browser is used, both use the most recent version. Flash is automatically updated in Chrome, and the version of IE is 20.0.0.306. The thing that makes

I wonder if maybe it's the latest version of Flash is, after this started, I had to do a restore of the system image of a six-month-old system. Before that I just could not

update it worked until the Flash has been updated. Although the same test on both the site on the site from my ISP and Ookla continued to work throughout. I do not use

Active X filters, but I block third party cookies. That shouldn't make a difference on my router because it uses a secure connection, and basically my own IP address.

This is a wireless connection, but I'm also wireless when visiting other teams as well. Oh, I also tried to reinstall Flash and so the router software.

I could try to install a version archived Flash, even though I'm bit of a stickler on security. Then, someone has suggestions of troubleshooting, which can

help refine it? Or should I wait for when the next version comes out and see if it works then? Thanks to the one who fixed the time to read this long question.

Looks like you have probably installed Flash, but the Web page is not detect Flash Player.  It doesn't really surprise me to IE11, but it is hardly surprising for Chrome.  My guess is that Chrome is blocking an approach using the router for security reasons guys.

You use an adblocker or the plugin anti-tracking?  If so, you could try to disable them temporarily.  Something that blocks Flash or JavaScript arbitrarily may cause this.

If you have not installed an update of the firmware on your router for a while, I would start there.  Linksys may have fixed on their end.  Otherwise, you might be out of luck.  The landscape of security requires that we (like browser vendors and the Flash) move to a more strict set security policies, web technologies, and which does not always leave room for backward compatibility.

While we could spend time trying to identify the root causes of the problem, it is cooked to your router, so is the only way to fix is via a Linksys firmware update.  If it is not fixed in the latest firmware, it's probably easier to just give her to use http://www.speedtest.net/ directly... and if it works, you have a pretty decent confirmation that Flash behaves as expected.

  • Beta by OOKLA speed test

Since the update to the latest version of Safari, I was not able to access beta.speedtest.net by OOKLA (the no flash version).  I can access it using my Macintosh plus former 10.5.8 running, but does not on my iMac running 10.11.6 with Safari 10.

All attempts to enter this URL returns the speedtest.net (flash version).

    Anyone know this problem?

I tried to clear my memory cache of Safari and flushing the DNS cache, but still no joy.

    .. .a update.

I was able to successfully run the other speed tests no flash with Safari 10 (e.g., Verizon and other speed test), but trying to access beta.speedtest.net, I'm automatically redirected to the flash-based OOKLA test.

  • WRT 1200AC speed Test does not

Test of speed inside the router no longer works.   Slow to respond and speeds from offshore.  I was wondering?

My version of flash player is 19.0.0.245.  My router's firmware version is 1.0.4.167471.   V.2.2.0 speed in the router test.   Speed test by Ookla server based in Los Angles, CA.  Only runs IPv4.   All details provided in the inside of the router.

    Outdoor speed tests work.

    Someone else, a problem?

Speed test works now.  Test speed to normal limits.  Any change to the router.  No change to anything.   I think it's an ISP issue now.   Highway 11/17 but disappeared from today when I checked last.

    But if you must know...

ISP is TimeWarner cable.    Cable modem services.

    50Mbps down.   5 Mbps upward.
Motorola / Arris SURFboard cable modem 600 series model SB6183
Cat 6 Ethernet cable.   Excellent condition.   Not swapped, not necessary in this case.
Never a problem of Internet connection, verified websites to normal speeds. I.e. www.speedtest.net & www.dslreports.com

ISP MTU = 1500.   Standard with ISP.

Your attention to detail is noted and understandable.    Thank you!   I really like my router but I like it with more features of the firmware update.

  • EA3500 Classic Speed Test

I did a simple speed test comparing my EA3500 and Linksys WRT54GL. I used the DSL reports for the test. I was very shocked and wonder if the difference is due to the poor driver wireless in the classic firmware that has been updated in the firmware of the cloud. Here are my numbers:

    EA3500, classic firmware download average 475 KB/s Upload average 725 kb/s

    Linksys WRT54GL Ver 1.1 (latest firmware) download average 3250 kb/s Upload 725 kb/s

Needless to say that I went back to my trusty WRT54GL until Cisco decides if it will be updated the firmware of Classic and give us 2nd customers Cisco class have the same customers Cloud of material the 1st class. Time will tell.

You never said your wireless settings.  In the router, make sure that you use WPA2-AES encryption, disable WMM, set to a fixed channel as 1,6,11.  Try now.

  • Will be using Firefox recently and I'm very happy with it. However this up-to-date Web site mybroadbandspeed.co.uk does not work. It displays but does not start the speed test. IE works fine. Any ideas please?

Rebooted PC without result. The laptop has a wireless connection.
All other wireless Internet connections work fine to this day using Firefox. Internet cable connection to the main PC also works OK with mybroadbandspeed.co.uk

It's a Flash object then try to update Flash to the latest version via http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

You should do it anyway because the version you have installed currently is a safety hazard. See http://www.adobe.com/support/security/advisories/apsa11-02.html

  • Airport Express - speed test slow on iPhone vs iPad

Using the application of Test of speed, connected to the same network, sitting next to each other, my iPad constantly hit them paid 80 Mbps, while the Iphone generally only hit 35. All also affected computers 70 +.  I certainly tried several combinations to restart the router, reset the phone.  Tips on getting the iPhone to hit higher speed?  iPhone is on 8.4.1, because that's how much I hate the podcasts app in ios 9.

    Router: Airport Express.

    iPad 2 Air

    iPhone 6

This isn't a question of AirPort Express.

The iPhone is not known for his speed, probably due to a smaller antenna that the iPad uses, so you can't spend a lot of time or be too concerned on this issue. By comparison, your iPhone is doing better than mine.

Please post in the forum to support iPhone If you want more specific information about the iPhone. The link is just below. Good luck!
