Size of PSU or of connector HP 6100 (F3185WT)

Hello

I have an old HP6100 (F3185WT) with a touch of bad connector on the power supply.  Can someone tell me the exact connector size please?   It is 1.7 x 4.8 mm by 11mm long?  Having a hard time finding a diet including the correct end to this topic.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

I do not know the size, but there are some chargers for an Omnibook 6100 on ebay.

http://www.eBay.com/ITM/AC-adapter-charger-for-HP-OmniBook-4000-4400-500B-510-6000-6000B-6100-7000-XE-/370801805790?PT=Laptop_Adapters_Chargers&hash=item56558289de

I think that one of these ends will work.

  • Aurora-R5, size of PSU (power supply)?

    Hi all

The R5 uses a standard size PSU? I can just pictures and thank you.

FYI: with the edit function, you can change the title of your post to 'Aurora R5 Power Supply size', so clickers know what query

It uses a standard size of W 150 mm x H 86 mm | 5.9 "x 3.4", where length / depth is the variable that changes according to the size / output etc. Their 460w is about 5.5 "long while their 850 is 7.5" long. Both of their power supplies will be manageable short cables even if a spare chassis can come with long cables (one size), where a sectoral approach to theirs in a new requires diligence to cable manage all new cables whilst being aware that the swing arm is to close entirely & the side panel back on , that's why care are guaranteed when you install a new chassis with new cables IE "slow work & think through '."

  • Help PSU p6310y HP upgrade!

I need to know what power supply (600W) corresponds to my case because I improve my 9100 the EVGA GTS 250 graphics card.

    any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you!

Will suit most ATX power supplies. However, it is best to measure your exisitng PSU just to confirm and to get an idea of how much extra room is available.  A standard ATX power supply is 5.9 "5.5"to 3.5".  HP Mini-Tower cabinets are tight inside, so I wouldn't go too far outside the standard size ATX PSU.  Choose a modular power supply to help minimize wiring problems. The side of efficiency and the guarantee period are also elements to consider.  Look at the amperage + 12 volts to the PSU, you are looking to buy.  Not all power supplies are created equal.  www.Newegg.com

Your PC has the typical ATX PSU with the dimensions of a 5.9 "by 3.4"to 5.5".

  • Help: Added psu and don't remember what wires go to dvd player

Power supply seems fine, but I don't remember what cables go abck to dvd player.   I have a black jack, like that used for power supply hard drive.   When I plug this in dvd power cable, the system does not start.

It seems that the player requires a sata connector and power, but I want to be sure before you continue.

The system is H8-1445.  Added Corsair 600w psu.

Yes, it uses the same power as the hard drive connector.  Everything coming from the PSU sata power connectors will work with the DVD.

    Hi Big_Dave

Thank you for your continued support...

Now, I replaced the in situ 300 watt power supply provided with the HP ML330 G3 with 750 watt Corsair and well. No smoke or fire smelly so that chips and salmon "I am preparing for dinner.

Regarding your question, Yes, the size of floppy Bay is the same size as that of rpm scsi 10 k 80pin. drive it is a 80-68 pin code converter that plugs nicely into the internal water of 68 pin male. Corsair 750w PSU comes with connectors 8 x 12v morlex, these can be connected to the connectors extra 12v adapter needed to put these converters to 68pin 80 - scsi

Daisy chaining scsi disk is easy, the two external channels can be used to connect to the scsi drive more in an another case unithaving / chasy a total of 28 scsi disk Garland.

Everything is settled now, my only question now is to do with knowing how to configure RAID correctly and this constant warning about Battery Backed Write cache messages' on the smart card array 6400 however I'ld who post on another section of this forum. This can now be closed according to the original question with replacement of the power supply to a power greater.

  • Vostro 430 does not illuminate

    Hello

I've got questions for a few months, requiring several pushes the button to start.  I resolved to never put it off, thinking it was a dodgy button, for several months now.  However, yesterday we had a power cut and now I can't the PC to power everything.  Power is in the course of the PSU indicated by the green light at the back.  I followed some of the steps on this forum for troubleshooting... Disconnected and reconnected connectors etc.  I checked the button itself.  Sometimes when you press the power button I had a glimmer of life - blue light and whir cooling fans, but only briefly, then nothing again.

Then I followed the steps of TS - disconnect the main supply to the connector on the motherboard and tried to jump over the Green wire to one of the black wires - I get power on the HDD and the DVD player that spin to the top, but nothing else... on each black wire the same result.  Any help or advice or next steps?

    Thank you.

I guess the likely culprits here are:
    1 switch
    2 POWER SUPPLY
    3 - mobo

Is most likely 1 and less 3.

A couple of months, I tried to disassemble the "façade plastic" which contains the diag lights up and the power button on an other Vostro and abandoned after 30 to 60 minutes. I should have had like 9 hands and a bunch of tools made of plastic to get this thing apart.

I guess you could buy the Panel part/small / whatever has the power button and plug to the motherboard and just leave the inside of the case (ha ha ha ha). Whenever you wanted to start the machine, you must open the box... or just leave the file open / side.

The next suspect is the power supply. You have another machine with a similar diet that you can insert in the 430? You didn't say if your food is a totally custom power supply, Dell (in general, the size may be customized with Dell) or more like a generic power supply size. When I find the pictures with the words [psu vostro 430] the results look fairly typical. You have a machine that has a ' normal/typical' block of power SUPPLY Antec/Corsair/etc.? These are bets better than an IBM/HP/etc. POWER SUPPLY. I recently tried a beefy server IBM ATX PSU turn in "Dell PC #1" and got nothing. I put the same power supply in a really very similar 'Dell PC #2', and it worked perfectly. A replacement part from Dell to address right would most likely work for you. A ' normal/typical' PSU by Antec, Corsair, etc. would also be a good bet... assuming your Vostro 430 takes a PSU of size "normal/typical.

Partly you could diagnose your existing power supply by buying a $10 POWER supply Tester, but you will only get so far. I recently bought one of those at Microcenter. It will tell you if the power supply is the production of the correct voltage, but not just any appreciable support being requested by the PSU. If you purchase the power supply Tester and the PSU has failed the test, you know you need a new power supply. But if it passes the test, you may still have a bad diet that initially provides the correct voltage, but fails when he tries to provide any support.

There are full load PSU testers, but they are rather more expensive.

I noticed in the thread on this forum called "Is it easy/possible to upgrade from feeding on the Vostro 430?" answering machine said "the Vostro 430 will use a standard ATX 12V power supply. Looks like it worked well here because only the initial poster was renovated to a comfortable level, size, aftermarket PSU.

I'm not sure that this food is appropriate for you, but the size standard PSU Antec VP450 (aka VP-450) in the 'Brand' line Antec has excellent bang for the buck and is 80% effective. If you look on Amazon or Newegg buyers there are very satisfied. I bought one a couple of years back. Of course for more in $$$ you can absolutely get a PSU nicer (more powerful)... If you need that.

  • another monitor

This is a picture where my current monitor is connected to my computer:

    http://i49.Tinypic.com/2a98fht.jpg

I guess the extra space near the monitor cord is where you would plug in another monitor/TV or all that but I don't know much about computers so I could be wrong. I want to connect to another monitor I have, but the cord does not fit into this place. It looks like this: (I'm not positive of what these cords are called so to avoid confusion, here's the photo of him also)

    http://i45.Tinypic.com/2v3sodk.jpg

Now anyway for me to be able to connect this monitor to this computer with an extra cable or something or is it more complicated?

    Thanks for any help.

Is that everything will depend on the size of the male HDMI connector.  In saying that, that is why I suggested going with the HDMI cable and adapter on the monitor.

Or buy the DVI cable for monitor and HDMI to PC.

I'm not sure why your current HDMI cable is so wide at the level of the connector.  It is not your typical HDMI cable which shows another thought.  Maybe another cable might give you more room. Just buy 2 cables (DVI, HDMI)).  I think that both normal HDMI connectors would be inserted in your video-by-side card.  You can test this thought out by getting a normal HDMI (borrow) cable and use both ends of the cable to see if it will work.

  • video card and power suply upgrade help

I bought the Hp Envy 700-074 computer from Bestbuy. I want to update my video card to a power supply NVIDIA gtx 660 and at least a 600 watt. My problem is the size of the space available for upgrades. How long can the card may be before it hits something or limit too high air flow? The size of a power supply (size wise... height, width, length) will fit in the case. There are several different manufacturers of these two elements. I don't want to buy something online having to return, as he does not. If you guys can help would be great. Thank you

    Sandra

The nvidia gtx 660 video card you've chosen fits in the single available on your card PCI Express 3.0 location mother MS-7826 (Kaili) so unless you placed another card, you won't have problems with space for the card that the computer has been designed with a map like this to be placed in this slot.

As for power provide the current dimensions of the 460w (100v-240v) power supply of the computer are 150 x 140 x 86 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) as it is stated in the specifications of the product for your computer, as shown in the link below.

    http://goo.GL/AksCpw

A same size 600w PSU must break easily.

If you have further questions please feel free to re-post.

  • ENVY 15 j040el (Italy): replacement/upgrade for RALINK RT 3290 wifi adapter

My RT 3290 RALINK wifi adapter supplied with HP ENVY 15 Notebook j040el (bought in Italy in 2013) has stopped working.  I got to know of it when all of a sudden I couldn't access the internet more but my Tablet worked fine, so no fault of my ISP.   Fortunately I had at hand a USB wifi adapter to my office, and in him reconnect the wifi was back.  So my RALINK RT 3290 went for sure. Unfortunately, my warranty expired last year, and I can't ask for a free replacement of HP.   There is no RALINK RT 3290 on Amazon Italy.   I've seen a few complaints about the RALINK RT 3290 performance on the forum.

1 can one suggest a good compatible replacement or upgrade?

2 HP suggest a compatible replacement? How? Where?

Laptop model: HP ENVY 15 j040el

    Country: Italy

    OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Processor: Intel core i7-4700MQ, 2.40 gHz

    RAM: 12 GB

    HARD drive: 1 TB

    Warranty: due September 2014.

The module that I suggested is compatible. It is the same physical size and has 2 antenna connectors it will be a matter of popping the old and jump into the new and replace the son, and then to load the driver. I don't know how you burn a wifi card but I mean it is also dual-band 2.4 and 5 ghz 7260 AC if that is a problem for you maybe, my advice would be different.

    2 x 2 vs 1 x 1 designates the number of streams from radio to the card. 2 x 2 is better.

  • Update wireless adapter on Sony Vaio VPCF23EFX

    Hi all

I want to improve my Atheros AR9287 wireless adapter that came with my Vaio laptop.

I try to have the party upgrade compatible with the dual-band standard and therefore, compatible with our new 802.11ac 802.11ac router.

    1 is it possible?

2 the warranty of your laptop?

    3. what features should I know to make sure that I have replace the Atheros AR9287 with a compatible part?

    4. any consideration that everyone thinks I should be aware?

    Thank you

    edsager

Simple answer is probably yes. From my experience, Sony doesn't have a white list of BIOS for WLAN and WWAN like HP or Lenovo cards (right I CALL YOU OF HP and Lenovo!)

Your computer has an access panel at the bottom of the laptop user? If so, have you tried to open it to see what is available? Most manufacturers make the adapter wireless network accessible from the bottom panel or under the keyboard.

I can't say what expansion supported by your portable computer based on interface specifications:

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/us/p/model-home.pl?MDL=VPCF23EFX&template_id=1&Region_ID=1&tab=manuals#/man...

But it is probably mini PCIe or mini PCI. The difference is quite obvious because of the size and the number of connectors. M2 is the new interface used by the last SSD and some WLAN adapters, but the probability that your computer is using m2 is weak.

See Mini PCIe vs Mini PCI

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express#PCI_Express_Mini_Card

    See m2

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2

This type of upgrade should not void your warranty, because it's an aftermarket upgrade, not a change (for example cooling mods, because you replacings stock thermal compound and by adding coppershims etc to make this kind of change), however, to keep the old card around in the case where you have to call support because they like stock options in laptops before providing support if they tell me that they fully support you because they don't know if updates of spare caused problems, blah blah blah.

  • HP Notebook 6735 s is not charging the battery

    Hello
I bought my HP 6735 4 years and it has worked flawelessy until the last 2 months or so.
The problem began when the power supply is plugged, but wasn't the battery charge: I corrected by noticing that, by moving the plug that goes into the power supply (from the 220V), battery started or stopped to load.
But, as you might assume, this method stopped working after 2 months and now I'm here with my battery at half load and no way to recharge.
I tested the output of the given PSU and is not giving all power (it is supposed to be 18.5V), so I tried a new power supply (the PW - 1300p trust, which has many adapters, one being a Compaq/HP).

This gives the necessary 18 V but my laptop won't always charge the battery.

And then I tried everything that is suggested by your form of support here: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/kb/docDisplayMobile/?docId=emr_na-c00259897&ac.adm...

The only thing I can say is that, when the battery was connected and the PC was on: I went to plug in the power supply and the LED for laptop (where you plug in your power supply) began to blink in blue, 9 and a half times.

Thanks in advance, sorry for my English confused, I'm a little rusty
    Massimo

Hello: anyone at - it a solution?
I disassembled everything and the problem is not with the connector on the motherboard...

    EDIT: well, I have corrected.
    Here's how:
I came home the laptop PSU original and cut the cable (from the PSU to the connector).
Spotted that the cable was cut and broken, fixed, now everything works.
The power supply all around that I tried to make my pc work with did not use the same phases use your power supply.

Your PSU got 3 cables: 1 external who, I think, is the "mass" or the negative of the secondary image.

1 less external which is the positive

1 internal and I don't really get what it is: in the power supply is called 'ID', guys do you have an idea what it is?
