You set during the conversion process. After it's on your drive, it is too late.

  • Change the size of video FootageItem in layer

    Hello

    I replace footage in a layer by using the following code (earlier in my code, I said 'sex'):

    var targetVideo = "pathTo/my.mov";

    var myFile = File (targetVideo);

    If {(myFile.exists)

    importOptions var = new ImportOptions (myFile);

    var theImport = app.project.importFile (importOptions);

    layer.replaceSource (theImport, true);

    }

    This replaces the layer source and seems to keep the values of property such as the scale and rotation,

    which is nice. But my video goal is thus more large (higher resolution) to my video source.

    and I would size down so that it looks the same after replacement, while preserving the properties of transformation applied to the source layer.

    I cannot just resize the layer or the layer.source because it gives me an error:

    'Cannot change attribute 'width' to the point 'myVideo.mp4' because the element is neither a model nor solid. "

    I guess I could try to nest the strong layer or within a model, and then change the size of the parent layer.

    Would it be the way to go or there at - it an easier way to deal with this?

    Thank you!

    Jeff.

    I did some digging in the literature ( restrictive - http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/aftereffects/scripting/After-Effects-CS6-Scri Guide.pdf ) and there is no way to change the width or the height of an element of footageSource or AVItem if its source is a footageSource. You can change the width/height of a solid/element layer. This is logical - normally, if you select a solid layer and go into «Settings of layer/solid...» ", you can set the dimensions, but you can never do the same thing for a footage item. Think about it - the way you redimensionnerez images in your compositions using simple scale transformations. Therefore, the solution would be to scale x and y of your new images to match the old images. So, something like this:

    1 calculate and record the width and height of your images before, taking into account possible scale.

    2. replace the film.

    3. use transformations to scale on the new layer of film to match the dimensions of old images.

    You're going to need some math to figure out how to do things, but this should be the gist of it.

    Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community. This issue may be due to the video resolution. If the resolution of the video is low clarity may decrease when you watch in full screen.

  • The customer wants video vertical for smartphone ad - best size/pixel aspect ratio?

    Thanks for the help! It is a question of two part...

    First of all, what is the best size vertical video on a smartphone? I guess since horizontal is usually 16:9 at 09:16. Therefore, something like 1920 X 1080 would be 1080 X 1920. But the average smartphone screen size 16:9 / 16:9? Here are the best odds?

    In addition, they gave me some pictures that was shot at 1920 X 1080 on a DSLR (but want a vertical product). Should what size mast I create so that I can ask on the images of the sequence to move and crop?

    Thanks again!

    So nobody had enough she -.

    iPhone 5 to go, Apple has a 16:9 screen. More android/google phone was already a screen 16:9 at this time. Therefore, to export a vertical video, you wish that it is 09:16. (16:9 up!)

    Using this link: https://pacoup.com/2011/06/12/list-of-true-169-resolutions/ I figured out the largest amount of pixels that I could without stretching things.

    So for the 1080 p (1920 x 1080) the more vertical video quality you can output is 720 by 1280 vertical horizontal.

    And for the 720 p (1280 x 720) the more vertical video quality you can output is horizontally by 1024 vertical 576

    Use H.264 and .mp4. This is much like the app, and the customer is very happy. You can save these presets to the first/media encoder, etc.

  • SP L300 - 24L - how to modify the parameter mem on video card?

    Hello

    My laptop has 4 GB of memory.
    I select this one because I need a lot of memory to work with the VM to my work.

    My problem is:

    The default size of video memory is 1341 MB. (1213 memory system and memory dedicated 128 MB)
    I just need the dedicated memory and maybe 128 MB of system memory.

    Do you think I can put in place that somewhere? There is no option in the BIOS settings.

    Thank you

    Hello Pierre

    As far as I know that this can not be changed manually. It works automatically and depends on RAM laptops.
    With more RAM, more memory will be used for graphical operations.

  • Question about video memory on Satellite L30-113

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L30-113 and I managed to install a driver (I am learning how to in this forum, thx) for the video card, which allows me to change the size of the memory, what video card can be used. Configure the size of the (UMA) memory of 256 MB (including 128) properties, then in the properties of that memory for the graphics card is display 512?

    My question is that the size 512 memory is real? Video card really use this amount of memory or is unreal? If so is it better to go back to 128 (then in properties is 256), not to waste this memory for nothing.

    I know the les specifications specifications from the manufacturer, said 'max 256 memory hyper', but my question again: why in the properties I have the memory size: 512 MB?

    Thank you in advance, best regards.

    No, 512 MB is not true. The maximum size of video memory is 256 MB, but I do not know why your system shows 512 MB. If you set the video memory up to 256 MB performance will be no higher. Do not waste this memory to change anything back to 128 MB.

    I have two files per episode and want to know if there is a way to combine them into a single file, before I spend them by smc for my rocket. I couldn't find anything on the forum... I tried it wording of the different ways to pull up information... Please address.

    I ran the two thru smc for the "rocket" and they work fine... now I'm playing around with possibly combine the files and also to try a slightly different size of video

    You can combine the VOB's (starting a DVD) with VOBMerge. Do this before any conversion.

  • Export size

    20160920_212304.jpg

    Hello! Here you can see a video I did, there is a version that I had myself by using a simple html5 code text file to display the video.

    If its clear enough that this is a large video. I did not knowingly define it like that. It's hard to see in this photo, but I've added a new blue matte background of the same color to fill the black sides, you can see about a feint of borders outline if you view it close enough. If seen on youtube there a margin of Letterbox (black top and bottom).

    When I open a new project, as much as I know, I do not specify what size the video is going to be, generally content that will begin to define who, right? This video is is a unique background (with mast) image, then the lyrics on top.

    When I export I use h.268 (think that it is good, maybe that - you know the one) setting and 720 p 1280 720 is my preference. I'm confused as to why the project is a large screen, I him did not like that I know. It would be great if I could just fill a screen, which is so much to ask.

    Please could you help me to set the size of my videos properly, thank you very much.

    What version of Premiere Pro are you using? And "latest" is irrelevant... we must dot-number of the help/a words of the dialog box. 2015.4 or something like that.

    As a general rule, when you start a project, you drop a clip on the empty space of chronology and PrPro will create a sequence with cadence-size/according to what is your media.

    And I'm not interested to see this in HTML5, but whether in PrPro or 'standard' player like VLC. Who will actually give me a strong sense of what the video... is.

    A little about the codecs... '720' is 1280 X 720, also known as HD or "high definition", which is a proportion of 16:9, the same as '1080', which is 1920 x 1080. The two, compared to the old 4:3 TV earlier broadcast standards and older movies, are the big screen.

    We need the actual numbers on your sequence to see what settings dialog box that your sequence is on the size of the image, and of course, the export dialog box allows you to export with the settings that you exported to.

  • The question is how you just crop in Adobe Premier elements 14 video?

    I'm sure it's obvious, but I can't understand. I have a video and I want to just harvest from the outset. No pan or zoom, just crops. I can find everything except that in the help videos. The camera was too far back and I just want to crop in from the start.

    Thank you
    Martin

    Cropping will remove the sides or the top of your video, leaving floating in your video image - which does not resemble what you're trying to do.

    It looks more to intensify the video as well as a section of your video fills the frame. If this is the case, select the clip on your timeline and click the applied effects. In the effects Panel, open Motion and increase the scale. You can also adjust Position too if you wish.

    However, note that increasing the scale of your video will be 'blow' or reduce its resolution. In other words, more you size your video, it will look more blurred.

    Just if you know that going.

  • Remove the Black bars in video

    Hello. My animated video has black bars box (left and right). When I download the video as a background video on my site, I see black area. I think I did something wrong on after the stage of rendering effect I don't know. I use the first time. What can I do? I don't want to see black bars on my background video. Like this. (I used jpeg image and animation video alpha channel.) Image size 1900 x 1188, format video mp4) thank you.issue.jpg

    If you use a media player video filling, you will need to use the standard video sizes. 1900 x 1188 is not a standard size. You must complete your frame with 1920 X 1080 or one or the other sizes of video format standard square pixels or the media player will add black bars. In addition, compression MP4 has a standard set of frame sizes that it will work with. All others are distorted or cropped to fit. It's just how video works.
