Skype 5.0 Sign-In Crash under Windows 7

I am a user of Skype for a long time. 5.0.0.152 version crashes on sign-in on the desktop of my PC with Windows 7 Ultimate edition. I have a program that is not responding not no error at sign-in ("application error" & or "exception error 00DC0440"). I tried suspend my firewall, I uninstalled/re-installed several times, downloaded from the older versions... all to nothing does not.

You can see the difficulties of other Windows 7 users on the page of the Skype forum athttp://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=736743

It works great on my laptop with XP. Answer please if you have a strong potential solution to this problem.

Thank you very much.

Hello! I am now running Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit on my m9152p HP Pavilion Elite originally shipped with Windows Vista 64 bit... I upgraded in early spring of this year and everything has been fine until about 2 weeks ago... Each time HP Update tries to run... It hangs... This started to happen out of the blue... It ran fine up until about 2 weeks ago, when she started this behavior... I haven't had any setting or program changes that I know... He just started crashing all of a sudden... I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of update HP... nothing helps... Can someone help me? Thank you!

HI: You are not alone. I had this happen on my W7 PC 2. Works well until a week or two ago. Now when you launch the program you get just the message that the program has stopped responding. I don't have a fix. I also tried the program updated without success. I've uninstalled it. You can run the Windows update program which will take care of most of any driver and other updates for your PC. If all goes well, people have reported this problem to HP that will be able to fix it. I wonder if it has to do with the upgrades of windows security or other updates that we received last month.

  • CVIXML makes PrintDlg/PrintDlgEx crash under Windows 7 (32 bit)

    -Load the XMLSample (toolbox\XMLSample.cws)

    -Add [CVIDIR]\sdk\lib\msvc\ComDlg32.Lib

-Replace XMLSample.uir and XMLSample.c with those of the attachment

It works on XP but not on Windows 7 (32-bit family professional):

When running, click on PRT (works), then load a XML, then try again the PRT button (crashes).

First of all, I used PrintDlg when it crashed, but PrintDlgEx does not work either.

Anyone can, check it please? I have only a single Win 7 box at hand.

I was able to reproduce the crash. It probably occurs because the PrintDlg function uses COM and it must require the thread to be initialized like cloisonne. And by default, the XML driver (via ActiveX CVI library) will initialize it differently, unless it is already initialized.

The accident goes if you initialize the thread yourself, before calling one of the XML functions:

    CA_InitActiveXThreadStyleForCurrentThread (NULL, COINIT_APARTMENTTHREADED);

  • Lightroom 2015.2 CC crashing under El Capitan.

I work under El Capitan 10.11on a MacBook Pro, retina 15 inches, 2.5 HGHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB of ram and a Nvidia Geforce GT 750 2048 MB graphics card. I thing the computer should be able to run Lightroom CC 2015.2 smoothly. and yet it crashes whenever I try to edit a catalog and randomly every few minutes.

I see a few answers regarding problems of crash under Windows, but not for Mac. For those of us who use the program in our professional life, releasing a program before it has been tested just shows a dark side to Adobe just interested in making more money and not really interested in the end-user (in addition to his portfolio).

So that the 'upgrade' removed several features and many expressed that looks more like a downgrade, cannot work at all because the program crashes really kills the Adobe Evangelist and loyal consumers I have been for many years in the past.

I would like to note that solutions 4, 5 and 6 are not solutions really are... those who are "allows to burn down the House and start over."

Seriously... the worst ever out of Lightroom. I'm so angry.

The problem is with your Internet Explorer (IE11).

Now try IE11 uninstalling and reinstalling IE9.

  • Some rather illusory BSOD and crashes on windows 7.

So for the past month I have been doing some strange crashes and BSOD that have been in every sense. I've been on Reddit and impossible to get a solution, I have reformatted, which does not set it. I've been on with the technical support of Microsoft support chat and can not get a definitive answer (they spend hours and a symptom of trouble then send me on my way). Accidents and the BSOD happen a crapton all in one day, it's good for several days, then it's a crapton while a new day. I just assumed it was graphics so I uninstalled and reinstalled. No solution. I assumed it was ram, so I change RAM, using just a single chip, get chips on other computers, including the chip switch is in what location, perform a test of memory, no solution.

Apart from just BSOD I have therefore also get those pips weird screen that blur the screen and resemble a classic movie scene where a security monitor is hacked. Or sometimes I can be working away and suddenly the computer starts up without ever giving any warning or anything.

Here are the BSOD logs that I have. He did TONS more than that, but more often it does not really give me a journal later.

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common. Control Panel device - graphics card configuration-manager - note the brand and complete model of your graphics driver - double-click - tab - write version information. Now, click the driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers you have.

Now go to the website of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration), then site of the manufacturer of the device (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Review of the BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system while there).

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to turn off the pilot facilities in Windows updates, that leaves is to Windows Update, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause problems.
