Skype crashes since 7.0

Hello

I never had no problem with Skype, always worked well.

However, since the 7.0 update, Skype is all * bleep * ed.

I'll try to explain it:

1. I send a message

2. the person has received the message.

3. I send another message.

4. I get the loading symbol, message undeliverable

5. Meanwhile, nobody sent me a message, I did not receive it.

6. 10 minutes later, my message is delieverd, and I get the message from the other person send me.

7. I send a message, it comes.

8. no one sends me a message, I get!

9. I send another message, the message is not delivered again for 10 minutes...

It becomes very annoying, and I didn't have this problem before 7.0

In addition, since 7.0, whenever I try to call someone, Skype crashes.

I have to then close the task for the trough Skype, restart Manager, and then I can call...

It happends the first ALWAYS trying, and when I want to call, I ALWAYS have to restart Skype.

I just want to be able to speak normally and call people normally.

Is there a way I can get the old version back?

Uninstall version 7.0 and install the older version of Skype 6.21.0.104:

Skype crashes since my attached ISP modem Arris cable to my computer. In my reports on the problems and solutions I tells me that I have an incompatibility problem with the RCA digital cable modem I do not have.  I'm running a 32-bit Vista system.  How can I fix?

    original title: incompatibility problem

Much appreciate the input.  Understood that the installation of the Arris modem was a coincidence - or perhaps it worsened the situation.  In this case, some of my settings were incorrect, more the old modem that had changed my ISP to was the RCA modem which was not compatible.  I uninstalled my programs and software in the control panel.  Everything works now.

Thanks for reporting this and thanks especially for a newspaper of the accident, including.

The thing that leaps most to me of this journal, you use 6.3, which is 9 months old. Much has changed in this time, and it is likely that this problem is already solved. Please visit the Web site and download the latest version of Skype, 6.11 and try to start again. If you have an accident, please bring: we absolutely want to know!

  • Skype crashes on windows 10 call

    Hello
I have a huge problem my Skype crash when I try to call someone or receive a call.
I looked for solutions and tried all the solutions in this topic
    nothing has worked.

I have all the latest drivers from what I see. Problem seems to have started since the last update of Skype. What's wrong?

    Help me please

I had actually just to re - install.

I have 10 windows and Skype was kind of last version. So this helped me a lot. Didn't need to do this well at all in fact. Uninstall and reinstall.

    Thank you my perfect ego!

  • Skype crashing randomly

Since some updates my Skype crashes randomly every few minutes.

It started with the following symptom: whenever my woud disk HARD secondary spin up because I navigated to it in Windows Explorer when Windows Explorer and Skype would freeze and then finally Skype would break, release of Windows Explorer.

I changed the HARD drive forever and Skype still crashes randomly, even when I'm not using it but just it open in the background. Sometimes it works fine until half an hour before crashing, it takes less than a minute sometimes for her crashing again after the reboot.

I tried to completely reinstall Skype (including remove the Skype of AppData folder) but it has not fixed the accidents (a new installation of Skype with an existing user is annoying as hell, you will hear the DING almost constantly while it receives all messages passed...).

I have attached the report of the Windows event log below.

Thanks in advance for a solution.

Try first update your NVIDIA driver:

Yesterday, I upgraded to Skype 7.5.64.102. Since Skype crashes whenever I turn on the webcam (Microsoft LifeCan VX-1000). This only affects the actual camera, microphone included in cam works well, as does the camera when you use other applications.

  • 7.2 Skype crashes at startup

I know this topic has already been here. And believe me, I've tried with serveal things and none of them worked. I don't really know what else I can try to do.

The story is, that Skype has worked very well for me (next to rare accidents, nothing to worry about). then all of a sudden that it crashed, every time I picked up a call (or called someone). The writing was no problem and since it's essential I usw Skype for, I had no real problem with that. But after a while, I wanted that it works correctly. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Skype and since then it crashes at startup. I use the normal SkypeSetup.exe I downloaded from the main site. I also tried older versions, nothing works. I tried to delete the settings in Skype and to my surprise, Skype starts after that. Unfortunately, it crashes as soon as I connect.

Please help me, I really have no idea what could be wrong with my PC (or Skype).

    Skype-Version: 7.2

    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

    additional notes:

I read that IE needs to work, and that's fine.

I also ran the dxdiag program and attach the file to this message.

    DxDiag crashed into Direct3D:

DxDiag previously : Crashed to Direct3D (step 3). Re-run DxDiag with the command line parameter 'dontskip' or choose not to ignore the gathering information when prompted may result in DxDiag obtaining this information

Skype does not work with default Direct3D.

  • 4.3 Skype crashes with the old chat history

After the upgrade to version 4.3, Skype crashes after the connection probably loading the message history.

I tried to remove the. / record of Skype and it works like that. However, when I put the old user folder (just the , not all '. ') Skype file"), it crashes. I also tried to remove the file and then merge the history using http://suurjaak.github.io/Skyperious/ and it hangs again.

Any solution that would keep my history?

Maybe I have found a solution after some web research, I Skype with * wholesale * historical log... Before these orders, I can't run Skype because it segfaults with the same track of gdb in your newspapers.

I changed my main.db database, with:

    SQLite3 $ ~ /. Skype/[YOURUSER}/main.DB

And then, I've updated the table of Messages as another post , but I have to translate the part of the message 'sent' in my language, so I have Skype in Italian with a simple:

    SQLite > body_xml SELECTION of Messages WHERE type = 68 AND body_xml LIKE '% file %' LIMIT 0,10;

I found the translation for "Shift": "ha inviato ' and ' ha spedito" (which are two translation valid for posted... I don't know why there are two different versions...).

    Then in a:

    SQLite > UPDATE Messages SET body_xml = substr (body_xml, instr(body_xml,e)
    SQLite > UPDATE Messages SET body_xml = substr (body_xml, instr(body_xml,e)

    followed by

    SQLite > .quit

Now I have my 4.3 Skype works fine with my entire chat log.

    k.
