SKYPE internet connection

I can't get internet connection with SKYPE.  All other internet connections work fine (that is to say, AOL, YAHOO, Google, Safari, etc.). Problem is related to this computer - my other lap top works great like Skype on my iphone.  I had my computer checked for malware and it's clean.

  • Programs such as MSNmessenger, Skype, steam, etc. don't recognize the internet connection.

I have a problem with the network connection to applications, do not know if they are called 3rd party applications, such as MSNmessenger, Skype, steam and WorldOfWarcraft? All of these types of programs that use the Internet outside of a Web browser do not recognize my internet connection. My internet browsers such as Internet Explorer and Google Chrome work except for Mozilla Firefox. And it is on Lenovo Thinkpad T400 with a Windows XP Professional.

I'm sure that's not a router problem, or my ISP problem because I am the owner of another laptop. The laptop is a Dell Vostro 1500 with Windows Vista Premium 32-bit and it as no problem like this. Anyone know how to open this block?

  • iMac intermittent Internet connection... a little

    Good evening to all!

I have an iMac mid-2011 running on OS X 10.10.5. A few weeks ago it started giving me *. Most of the time, it works very well. However, from time to time (it can vary from once in a weekend several times a day), he abandoned the Internet connection... a little. It is quite complicated to explain, and English is not my native language so patient with me. Randomly, some Web sites and right areas will become inaccessible. Reloading Web pages does not get me anywhere. Does that change the error message in my browser that will come to me. I can also access most video games require an online connection while my iMac is upward. I can quite strangely, still receive and send emails and use applications such as Skype or uTorrent. Some sites Web will always also. Most of the time, YouTube is completely functional. Is the same for the Google search function, although I can not load search results when I click on them. Facebook tends to load with an extremely messed up display. I say 'more' and ' tend to "because it happened a few times that even these sites Web would not load. Applications like Skype and Mail have never failed me up to this point. Homepage of Skype app comes down with the drops, however.

I use mostly Chrome, but the problem is also present on Safari. I've not installed on one of these two browsers of extensions. The problem is not limited to my user. Other iMacs on the network experiment not these drops. Restarted my iMac seems to fix it temporarily. I tried to use other DNS. The issue is extremely intermittent and the 'drops' length varies from a few seconds to an hour. Here are the screenshots of the various errors that Chrome gives me (there is no reason, reload and another one pops up). I know they are in French, but it's the best I can do. I'm really desperate for help because I'm taking courses online soon.

    Thanks in advance,

    A lost Mac user ~.

uTorrent is your problem.  Relying on software illicet means that may have installed something that hurts your connection to the network.  Sorry, but you really need to remove all software obtained torrent.  Get software only directly from the developers and the Mac App Store.  MacUpdate is good also, but never get Mackeeper.

  • Satellite A660 / 07P - problems with my browsers, internet connection

    Hey guys,.

    I just brought a Satellite A660 / 07P.
I have problems with my browsers, internet connection.

After a period of time (varies) my browsers stop to connect to internet.
Skype works fine, as does my download manager and other internet services.

When I run an internet system restore works again for a period of time, before picking up the handset.
I used this happens with all browsers (IE, Firefox and Chrome).

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Ry ~.

    Hi dude

    Skype works fine. Right?

This means that the laptop is connected properly to the router and the internet connection has been established successfully.
I think that a firewall can affect the functionality of the browser. Check the firewall settings.

In addition you should check if other installed 3rd party tools to affect the functionality of the browser.
    Verify installed tools

last but not least you could clean the operating system. Use the CCleaner.
    Free is nice tools.

    Hello

Recently, I tried connecting to Skype and it displays the error "Skype cannot connect. I tried to update to the latest version, but also to remove Skype completely and put it back, once again, but nothing helps... Please help me!

  • Automatic update to 7.5 prevented a Skype to connect

Automatic update to 7.5 has prevented Skype to connect after entering the user name and password. I just get the circle of rotation. I have IE 11. It was working fine before this update. After some time she returned to the login page.

I tried UN-installing, re-installing Skype and almost every other thing that I find your suggestions. Nothing works.

I use this for business and now I can't use Skype, it is causing me a problem...

This has nothing to do with Skype, but the 'problem' is with the Antivirus software. Skype does not change the anti-virus settings, but AVG, when detection new application installed, by default might block its access to the Internet.

  • Satellite L505 - 13 X - Skype cannot connect...

    Hi all

I bought this laptop to my sister-in-law. Everything is fine, but she is not able to connect to Skype on the Internet.
I have to take control of his laptop computer with LogMeIn to verify was she was doing.
We have reset his password and can log on to the Skype Web site.
But the client Skype always says something like "can not recognize the username or password".
I have check the McAfee Firewall settings, because Skype has full access to the Internet.
I have also temporarily disable its firewall router... but no way.
    Skype won't connect :(
If I use his name to username/password on my system, it works like a charm (as a movement).
If I try to my own account on his cell phone, Skype cannot connect too.

Someone at - he never had something like this and has an answer or advice?

    Thank you very much.

    Thirganor.

PS: I also post on the Skype forum: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=579591

    Hello

Have you tried to download the latest version of Skype? Just check it out and disable McAfee at all (you say that Skype has full access to the Internet, but I think that it ' s blocking)

    Hello

    Try this process.

    WinSock and TCP/IP

When parasites get installed on your computer, they might create hooks in the system computer activities related to the program "Junk" files  When you get rid of the 'Junk' hooks could remain in the system, in the absence of target files (they cleaned) problems are created in the network and Internet related activities.

If after uninstalling the "Junk", the Internet connection does not work as it should, you will need to restart the operating system parts which get trashed by the process.

    WinSock and TCP/IP update.

Type Cmd in the search text box.

Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run a command as administrator prompt.  Allow the elevation.

Type netsh winsock reset at the command prompt and press the Enter key.

Do the same process to refresh the TCP/IP just replace the command typed with.

    netsh int reset

And the sam to do this.

    ipconfig/flushdns

    Restart your computer.

  • Problems of Internet connectivity after an upgrade to Windows 7

At home I have 2 computers Presario laptops connected to the internet via a modem wireless router / the two using Vista Home Premium (32 bit) OS. Last week I upgraded to one of them to Windows 7 (32 bit) and since then, I had Internet connectivity problems. The other laptop, always on Vista, continues to work with no problems and so I excluded the modem/router wireless as the source of the problem.

The problem is that when all programs that access the Internet, for example Internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Outlook and MS Instant messenger, lose the connection to the internet after a few minutes. I disconnect them the laptop to the wireless network and reconnect again manually, then works again for a few minutes and the problem repeats.  An interesting observation is that I use SKYPE (VOIP program) and it is Basel to connect to the internet and maintains the connection without problem.

I suspect that the problem may be the driver for the hardware wireless (apparently made by Atheros communications) installed on the laptop, but I can't find more information on the subject.

Any help on this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    Tony Partida

    {Information}

    Hi Tony,.

    It is certainly possible.

Some people have managed to install this driver Atheros for Windows 7.  It is on the following link.  Save it to your desktop.

    Atheros Driver - Win 7

The driver is in a zip file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Right-click on the downloaded zip file, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files, and then click Ok.  Open the newly extracted folder, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  If it installs successfully, restart the computer and see if there is an improvement in connectivity.

    Kind regards

  • I have a problem with the internet connection frequently fall.

A strange thing that baffles me is when I go to one of the houses of my friend, my new laptop has the greatest difficulty using his wifi. My laptop has no problem using someone elses and none of the features of my friend has a problem with its wifi. Even my old laptop has no problem.

The internet will be always connected while at my friend's House, but he often will not load pages, going very slow if it charge anything and takes some time to re-establish the connection if it does not charge not all web pages. Its wifi is normally quite fast and this are speeds very abnormal and crashes, he's never experienced. Yet once again, only my new laptop knows this. It loses connection with the router, just with the internet. You will see often Skype lose connection and may stay connected for 1 to 10 seconds before it shuts down again.

have tried to reinstall the wireless drivers but no luck. Reset the driver does nothing. Restarting the laptop does not help. Restart the router does nothing. Removing the router of my set up and you reconnect to it does nothing. Any help with this problem would be highly appreciated!
