    Hello

I have a very serious problem, started only last Monday, I was using my laptop to last more than three years and having a problem just last week about the loss of internet connection after an hour or two after restarting the laptop.

I thought that a virus could have an effect on this, so last night I reinstalled the operating system, but it does not work too. I connect to the internet via an ethernet to a motorola modem cable, do not know how to solve this problem now.

I searched through various sites and followed quite a few options but that did not help. Still have a problem, someone please answer as soon as POSSIBLE. I have a very important session the game and on Fri and it will be very costly if I can't then I would like to be back to normal as soon as POSSIBLE.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your Modem > make sure you have the latest Firmware in Vista for it.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for it last network adapters Vista drivers > download/install the.

The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

  • Homestead sitebuilder does not see internet connection under Windows Vista

Recently, I switched from Verizon internet home (very bad product) Qwest's high-speed wireless. No problem. However, I discovered that I have a problem with vista.

First of all, microsoft updates would not download at all. I eliminated the firewall and done everything I could think and one day (had vista sp 1...) Yes, only had not updated in a while) it switched to automatic updates. Then it worked fine.

My second problem is with my website building program. It is not the internet connection. If I have power of Attorney, the internet connection test is fine. I have no problem with my internet. I can get online every time that and fast. However, it is curious that my homestead sitebuilder program does not recognize. So I uninstalled the sitebuilder and tried to reinstall a clean install. The installation wizard starts and installs the first part, I hit then, and suddenly, I get a message error "Sitebuilder has stopped working; try to find a solution", in which he can never find the solution. So, I go to the site of the farm and download the zip file. I am able to install sitebuilder by these means, but then it takes forever to load on vista and never find the internet connection.

Someone at - it solutions? It is a program that I use quite often and now I can only update online that allows me a limited capacity. BTW... I use firefox for my browser. Homestead accepts only the browser.

    Solutions?

    Hello

You may need to contact the support for the site builder from homestead to reinstall.

Also contact Qwest High Speed Internet connection to inquire the matter with an Internet connection.

No recovery or restore of Windows disks. I have a valid Microsoft "proof of License'for my Vista Home Premium. Should I be reinstall Windows and if yes how I'd get the disks.

Your only option is to do a clean install of Vista.  There is no free, download of the disk.  Contact the manufacturer of the computer and they may be willing to sell you a set of recovery disks to reinstall the system (but you will need 23 digit product key to activate it in all probability even if sometimes it is not necessary when it is made with recovery on the same computer discs).

Here is Microsoft's policy on software lost: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246 you can see is not much help.

If you can borrow an installation disk of Vista genuine of the same size of the bit of ANYONE, you can use that with your product key to re - install the system and start over (you get a new administrator account and set your own password for him - or to leave empty that you choose).

  • Wireless connectivity problems: Windows Vista displays connected to the internet with good signal, but cannot access the internet more than a few seconds.

    Hello

Recently, I brought a Dell with Windows Vista and a Belkin Wireless adapter in my house somewhere else. The computer has never had problems connecting to wireless internet on the other networks, however since the move I was not able to access the internet. Sometimes the network shows only a local connection and not Internet and other times, the network has a strong signal, a network identified and even an internet connection, but when I open any browser, it is only able to load the Google homepage and I cannot navigate anywhere else. I turned off all firewalls and even uninstalled all 3rd party software protection. I checked all my browser settings and made sure they detect automatically the IP settings and proxy settings. In other words everything seems in good shape, but I still have no navigation capability. Any ideas?

It turns out that I had to remove all the old Wireless USB software that had been used previously (there had been other versions of Belkin and Linksys). I then used the computer from my friend to download suitable driver on the Belkin site for the internet adapter USB I used and BAM.

  • interruption of the internet connection after installing vista sp2, only a local network

    Hello
Since I installed vista sp2 last week, I have no internet connection. Just, my laptop connects to the local network. I had already tried to uninstall sp2, but this does not resolve the issue. A restore of the system has not been successful (do not know why, windows just said failure of system restore). I also deleted my antivirus program and my firewall...
The internet works occasionally for a short time and when I start in safe mode.
Because I live in a House that I have to use a fix ip, gateway and dns. After you install sp2, windows says my default gateway does not match my ip address and subnet mask when I change the properties of TCP/IPv4. Using another laptop with XP, the internet connection works with the same settings.
I would be grateful for a quick solution, without formatting ;)

I've highlighted the TCP/IPv6 line of course ;) the button was inactive when even
in the registry, I saw WHAT TCP/IPv6 is already disabled

my internet actually works, but I don't know why
I deleted the file DisabledComponets for TCP/IPv6 in the registry, rebooted, create one, rebooted and it worked
but I do not know why :)
I hope that my internet is still functional

    Thank you for your support

  • Dial-up access is connected, but Windows Vista says it isn't.

Well, I connect to my Dial-up connection and it connects to the internet, but it is extremely slower than it was.  Even if I'm networking Windows Vista connected icon, (computer two on the start to the right bar) has a X on it and when I pass the icon it says: "You are not currently connected to any networks." Now consider this issue further away, I'm heading on in the center network and sharing-> manage network connections-> right click on my connection Dial - up-> State.
These are the results of Word for Word:

    Connection:
    IPv4 connectivity: Not connected
    IPv6 connectivity: Not connected
    Media state: connected
    Duration: 00:44:33 (important)
    Speed: 9.6 Kbps (Also important)

However, that's my theory and I ask you guys if I'm wrong or not.  Because my connection is not actually connected to IPv4 and IPv6, it is extremely slow.  Still more slowly than usual Dial-up that's been frustrating me and my family for quite awhile.

Is there any solution for this?  I'm not using a modem and the phone jack is connected directly to the computer, I checked the wires and I'm sure they're fine.

    All,
Here are some steps to you all try to fix your network connectivity issues.  Some of you may have tried some of these steps, if so, just do not take into account.  Because there are several people involved in this thread, now I want to put all the possible corrections for the loss of connectivity.

To reset the stack TCP/IP go to this article and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

    Disable the IP helpdesk:

1 hold the Windows key and type R, type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
    2. scroll down to the IP assistance service, right-click on it and select Properties
    3. in the drop-down list box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to disabled and then click 'apply '.
    4. then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session
    5. click on OK to exit the dialog box

    Disable IPv6:
Try to uninstall IPv6 on all interfaces, the removal of virtual cards of IPv6 and reset the TCP/IP stack.  To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.»  Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.

NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.

    Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag:

    Link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233
Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
322756 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/ ) how to back up and restore the registry in Windows

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers
To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
This registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the card network that is connected to the network.
On the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
In the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
Right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
In the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
    Close the registry editor.
By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.

    To clear the DNS cache:
Click Start, type cmd in the search box, and then click cmd in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
Once at the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns

Please post back and let us know if your problem is resolved or not.

  • Loss of Internet connection and Windows 7

In our headquarters, we have a desktop system running Windows 7, but also an iMac.  The two are connected to Apple's Time Capsule, which serves as a router and a backup for the iMac hard drive. (our Internet connection is cable Internet, by the way.)

Since upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7, the Windows 7 Desktop faces of frequent Internet connection errors.  Generally, it loses the connection to the Internet several times per day.

Today, it's the worst event we've seen so far (since the upgrade to Windows 7 last week).  We usually only an Internet connection for about 2-3 minutes, then it is lost and needs to be repaired.

We enter the control panel > network and sharing Center > issues > Internet connections

Let us Windows 7 automatically diagnose and repair the problem.

Whenever he goes through the stages of diagnosis and repair, it ends by "reset the connection area card."

At the end of the process - after everything has been repaired - we get the following report:

"Default gateway is not available - fixed.

Should what measures we take to permanently solve this problem?

Moreover, the iMac does NOT have Internet connection issues whatsoever.

    Thanks in advance!

I don't know what you use to assign addresses, so I guess it's a router of some sort. You will need to go to the website of manufacturers, look at the manual and know how to limit the DHCP address field. I changed mine to limit the address 192.168.1.200 thanks 192.168.1.250 DHCP assignment. Your router can use the 10. subnet, so your address may be different, depends on the manufacturer of the router, or if you use a DHCP, the scope with the DHCP server. Gives me 50 IP addresses for all the guests who may want to use wired or wireless connections and should be more than enough. This allows me to attributed to the 192.168.1.1 through 192.168.1.199 a device and not having to worry about the DHCP server, you try to use one that is applied continuously to a device (printer, switch, PC, server, virtual server, etc.).

Once this configuration of your router, you will now need to assign a static ip address to your PC. All this is done for the network card.

    On the start menu:
    Control Panel
    Network and Internet
    Network and sharing Center
In the right pane of network and sharing Center
Change the settings of the card
    Double-click your network adapter
    Check the box «Détails»
    Note the following lines:
Connection specific DNS (may or may not exist, depends on the provider)
    IPv4 subnet
    IPv4 default gateway
    IPv4 DNS servers

Once you have written those down, you can close this box.
You should be back at the "Local Area Connection Status" box.
    Select the option "Properties".
Select 'Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)', which will be in a blue when selected.
    Now, select the option "Properties".
"IP version 4 (TCP/IPv4) properties" box should have popped up. If so:
    Select the following text:
    "Use following IP address".
In the IP address box, enter an IP address. Example: 192.168.1.20
Press the tab, the subnet must fill automatically, otherwise, enter the "Subnet IPv4" value you noted in the above step. Examp, e: 255.255.255.0
The bridge of dafult, enter the value of the above procedure. Example: 192.168.1.254

Now switch to the next 2 boxes, DNS servers. You can have only 1 entry in DNS server of the DNS entry you noted from above.
Enter the DNS servers that you noted above.

If there is "Connection specific DNS" writing or entries, follow these steps (otherwise, skip the sections "Connection DNS"):
    Select the option "Advanced".
The "Additional TCP/IP parameters" window should open
    Select the "DNS" tab

If it has more than 1 input "Connection specific DNS", follow these steps:
Select it "add DNS suffixes (in order):
    Select "Add..." »
In the "suffix domain', enter the first connection specific DNS entry.
    Select the option 'Add '.
Add all the specific DNS suffixes that you noted. You can enter one at a time.
When the radio button finished choose "OK".

If you have only 1 entry in "Connection specific DNS":
Entitled "DNS suffix for this connection", enter the entry you noted above for the "specific" connection DNS
When the radio button finished choose "OK".

Check the "validate their output parameters.

Select the radio button 'OK '.

    Select the radio button "close".

You should see the "Windows Network Diagnostics' open and check for any problems. I hope that everything is fine and he says 'Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem' and choose 'Close the Troubleshooter'.
Close additional boxes or pop-ups that are open and check and make the connection sure allis. If not, go back and check all the steps. the most common are the IP addresses and gateways.

Good luck. After back if it solves the problem.

Did you put the TV at the entrance to the computer via HDMI?

Turn on your TV (computer OFF) and place it on the entry corresponding to the output on your computer (HDMI). You may need to refer to the supplied with your television user's guide for instructions on how to do this (or set on HDMI remote entry). Then turn on your computer.
