Slide the ends before interactive SWF animations

I have a character interactive animation SWF file on a slide in a Captivate 5.5 module. The animation is launched by a button with an action of 'show '. The animation can take as long as the learner takes to answer by clicking on one of the interactive elements. The problem now is that my slide runs out before the animation. When I add action pause button on the slide itself (to pause the slide), it also exposes the animation. How can I solve this?

Quick description:

  1. Open the FLA.
  2. Select all the items in the timeline (Ctrl + A).
  3. Press F8 (convert to Symbol dialog opens).
  4. Name the symbol of everything you like, then click OK.
  5. Republish the SWF file.
  6. Reinsert in Captivate and see if it works.

  • Help adding to the Muse an interactive swf with videos made in InDesign

    I am trying to create a portfolio of my digital work, which includes multi page interactive s .swf since InDesign I want to put on my site.
    I can add the SWF in fine using Place and they deposit functions great unless I have MP4/.flv videos in the swf file and that they will not play in the preview of the Muse or in the browser preview, so there are some periods of white vacuum which is not good!
    Did someone added these files using before Muse? I have a basic understanding of html and FTP language (although I don't know how I'm going to publish my site yet) any advice with this would be greatly received!

    I add this answer / solution for all those who may have the same problem and see what.

    I ended up publishing my site with the option Business Catalyst.

    I then followed the instructions to access the sftp as shown here:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/content/help/en/business-catalyst/partner/connecting-site-using-FTP-client.html

    After scoring in the sftp (I use Filezilla, was already familiar with the program) then I transferred my .swf and .html files in the folder liabilities and more download the resources generated by InDesign folder liabilities IE. / assets/your_indesign_file_name_resources /.

    The question that I lived before I belive was that the .swf file has been refernecing support in the resources folder, but no download via sftp, it did not exist on my site. Muse has no way to have the record or media that she, all is fair in the liabilities top-level folder.

    I had a problem with the size of the file initially to ensure that you do not download more of your franchise (visible on your dashboard of BC).

    This made the videos entirely functional and visible. I hope it's useful for all others with the same question.

    MBM mp3 audios however still do not work, I'm not sure what the problem is with those :/ If anyone can resolve, please comment!

  • Call the procedure to set the context before interactive report refreshes the data

    Hi guys,.

    I have a question mind an interactive report which takes the data in a view.

    The problem is that whenever I take the data from the database I need to define a context (user name and password) before running the query so the view will be taken into account the context and return only the lines that I have access.

    Everything works fine when I'm first loading of the page: I have first to define the context, then load all the data I need on the page, including the IR. But when I try to apply IR filters, or even don't go to the next page no data is returned. I believe this happens because the context is not defined before the execution of the query to load the data and I don't seem to find a way to put it.

    I tried to add a dynamic action on some events on IR (change, clicking, etc.) that executes the procedure to set the context, but without success - even if the event is raised, the report still doesn't return any data.

    Can someone help me with this issue please?

  • video loop, the value, but has a slight pause at the end

    Hello

    I have a video in a loop via AS3; the only thing is that the video stops a little at the end before a loop is executed.
    Someone knows how can I fix?

    I tried the following, but any method, I get this break:

    (METHOD 1)
    container.myVideo.autoRewind = true;
    container.myVideo.addEventListener (VideoEvent.AUTO_REWOUND, loopVideo);

    function loopVideo(event:VideoEvent):void
    {
    container.myVideo.play ();
    }

    (METHOD 2)
    container.myVideo.addEventListener (VideoEvent.COMPLETE, playAgain);

    function playAgain(evt:VideoEvent):void
    {
    container.myVideo.seek (0);
    container.myVideo.play ();
    }

    Hi all

    Just this sorted out by an old post of 'WebPiper ';

    The answer is:
    container.myVideo.addEventListener (VideoEvent.COMPLETE, playAgain);

    function playAgain(evt:VideoEvent):void
    {
    / * container.myVideo.seek (0); * / This is not necessary ;)
    container.myVideo.play ();
    }

    My video loops perfectly now.

    Kind regards

  • Swf file running on the web before the end of loading

    I made a catalogue of idesign and exported to an interactive swf.file.         So I now have the catalog.html and catalog.swf on my site.

    But it takes 2-3 minutes after clicking on the CATALOGUE link, before you see the first page of the catalog.

    Is there a setting in the file .html I can change so that the swf running already before the arrival of loading?     Say - after 10 pages loading, it starts to run and then load the rest in the background?

    Generally, the SWF file is only the player and the data to load are external, such as the PDF pages. It seems, your complete catalog is a huge SWF, so it loads first, then the parts. There are much better Flash/PDF solutions for catalogues there that convert from Indesign to SWF format.

  • Slides of questionnaire will not move forward before the end of audio track

    Hi, I have a quiz at the end of my course that has a voiceover reading the questions and answers. However, if a person is able to read and respond to the question before the audio track is made, I wish they were able to continue on. Instead, each slide remains until the audio track ends. I looked around a few obvious answer to this with no luck. Can anyone help?

    Slide audio, do you need CC?

    What is the action of success? With Infinite attempts you have not a failed action. Set success action to 'Go ├a next page' instead of continue.

  • According to Captivate to do something 1 second before the end of the slide

    I created my own navigation buttons. I want the buttons next to displays seconds or frames before the end of the slide. The navigation buttons are on the first slide (show for the rest of the project), but all the blades have a different length. Is there something like "before you leave"?

    None of the cases, sorry.

    Perhaps you can hide the button with another object and then set this object to disappear just before the end of the slide.

  • Far Far Away title text faints before the end

    I use the title of Far Far Away is predefined in FCPX. I have a little long enough to scroll text (the poem ' Twas The Night Before Christmas) and no matter how long I extend the title in the timeline panel, the text disappears just before the last two verses and makes the end of the poem disappear. I searched the forums and cannot find an answer. I also developed the video attributes to see if I had a hidden fade or transition and I don't. Any ideas are appreciated!

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096MB graphics

    The title has 2 modes.  the default value is "set" where the scrolling speed is independent of the duration of the title, although the speed can be adjusted with the slider.  The alternative is automatic, where the speed depends on the length of the title:

  • Audio does not pausing at the end of the slide

    Hello world. Captivate 8 using, version 8.0.3.290, 10 Windows.

    Have a problem with the audio in a project where the user progresses to the next slide by using the next button. However, we recorded audio outside Captivate, saved as MP3 and dragged and deposited the corresponding MP3 files in the slides in the film.

    We presented the project preview and audio is not a break at the end of the slide and wait for the next button to be clicked. Instead, he continues to audio for the next slide. How to stop doing this?

    13313508_10157067061000094_1848256157_o.png

    Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

    Be sure to leave a small space after and before each audio clip in the slide. This way Captivate will not hold account is a large audio file distributed over several slides.

    Another tip: don't compress to mp4, if you import audio clips to Captivate but keep the original wav files. Captivate will compress to mp3 at the time of publication. Look in the library, you'll probably find that Cp has created a wav from your mp3 file.

  • Captivate 8 - small gaps between objects and the end of the slide?

    Hello

    I have a selection of objects on a slide and have noticed that there is a very small gap (less than 0.1 seconds) between some of them and the end of the slide.  This applies only to certain objects. All objects are set to falter (via the timing tab) and the deficiencies mean they fade sometimes slightly different, which is really irritating.  This seems to happen even if I manually set the timings of the object (again via the timing tab) so that each object must be on the slide for exactly the right amount of time.

    Has anyone seen this problem before?  If so, is there a way to bypass?

    Thank you!

    Gaps.png

    Gaps2.png

    I figured out, and now I feel very stupid!

    The problem with objects is not the tail was because I changed the zoom on the timeline, from 100 to about 80%.  Return to 100% causes the objects to align again.

    The problem with the objects fading out at the wrong time was not related and because I had accidentally changed the duration of the effect of 0.5 second to 0.1.

    Thanks for your help anyway!

  • Captivate 8 - I want my slides to stop at the end and wait for a button click advance

    It works when published as HTML5, but NOT as swf.

    (I have these put specific slides on break at the end.  They contain stuff that the user may want to write down).

    Instead, the swf goes to the next slide and THEN stops.  Instead of using the next button, the user must use the button play on the skin.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I guess you used the on Exit event for a break? In this case the SWF behavior is a normal behavior: the action takes place only after the exit of the slide, so break will be on the first frame of the next slide.

    Why not add a click box, it time for the rest of the slide and it will pause at the last image. And you're talking about a next button? Why not use the interruption of this button to pause the last image (or almost the last image)?

  • IFrames somehow can be used as a workaround to play the interactive SWF on an iPad?

    Is it possible to somehow use iFrames to allow an interactive SWF created in Indesign to display on an iPad?   I created some pretty complex interactive of the SWF file that simply cannot be replicated using Digital Publishing or any other solution that I can find.  I was curious to know if there is a way to take advantage of the ability of the iFrame as a workaround.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    See you soon!

    Steve

    Hi Steve,.

    SWF cannot be read on an iPad or other iOS devices. This has noting to do with the DPS, but with the Apple iOS that allows quite simply not to play Flash files.

    You must switch to HTML5 technology to create your Animations. There are several solutions like Adobe Edge, tumult Hype,... to create the Animations without coding.

    Im trying to make an animation, how can I fix line 26 1084: syntax error: expected rightbrace before the end of the program?

    import flash.events.TimerEvent;

    public var gameTimer:Timer;

    public void AvoiderGame()

    enemy = new Enemy();

    addChild (enemy);

    gameTimer = new Timer (25);

    gameTimer.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, moveEnemy);

    gameTimer.start ();

    public void moveEnemy (timerEvent:TimerEvent): void

    {

    enemy.moveDownABit ();

    }

    This last curly brace must be reversed. You have an opening brace where a closing brace should be.

  • Inserted SWF animations disappear after the project is paused

    Sometimes I insert (created in Captivate) SWF files as animations in my Captivate projects. Sovereign wealth funds inserted are set to display for the 'rest of slide' and their playback controls are turned on.

    The SWF file properly inserted files function after insertion into parent projects. However, if a parent project is paused, when I click on Play, inserted SWF animations will disappear when the draft resumes playback. In other words, suspension and the resumption of a slide with an inserted/embedded SWF causes the inserted/integrated SWF to disappear.

    Does anyone know how to prevent this? I would appreciate any advice on how to avoid this problem.

    On a related note, insert a SWF file with playback controls disabled will cause reading orders the parent to disappear. So it seems that some (involuntary) communications between the inserted SWF animations playback controls and their parent Captivate projects.

    Thank you

    Josh

    I saw the version you are using? To avoid the playhead to move when a button is clicked, you create an advanced action in which you add a statement to rewind the read head back slide:

  • Slides Quiz is at the end of the project

    I have a project that contains a short questionnaire (5 questions) that is followed by an interactive exercise.  My problem is that the quiz results slide shows at the end of the interactive exercise (which is also the end of the project) and not at the end of the questionnaire.  I have the box "Display the score at the end of the Quiz" checked, but it will only be so at the end of the project.  It will not drag and drop into place and I tried a few different copy / cut and paste approaches, but nothing works.  Any ideas?

    Hello

    The score slide will be updated at the end to protect the scope of Quiz, which begins with the first object has received or the question and ends with the score slide.

    Could you please check view/panel Interaction advanced (depending on your version, which you don't mention) by F9? Check if you have not all marked objects after the last slide in the question, perhaps in the interactive exercise?  If so, make sure that these items do not get a score and are not reported or included in the Total score. You can then move the slide of score.
