Slider in ACR 9.1.1 mist

I use PS CS 6 with ACR 9.1.1.461.  From what I read there a cursor of mist in the effects tab in ACR 9.1.  I find the Grain and Vignette culture Post but no cursor haze.  If there is a later version of 9.1.1 I can't access it via PS CS6, update returns that I am running the latest edition.  I understand that I can not use ACR 9.2 without going to the CC, but it comes to 9.1.

Solution?

New features of ACR are not enabled in CS6 you must CC and you would then use ACR 9.2...

  • Photos of GH4 RAW converted with ACR not producing not accurate color

Since I left the GH3 Panasonic for the GH4 I've struggled to get accurate color of my ACR vs Faststone interpretation of GH4 raws.jpg raw photos.  The color looks great in camera and even my free Faststone Image Viewer creates precise JPEGS, but when I open the in ACR look muddy and washed out green, and other colors are simply not accurate.  I tried to create a profile but the inaccuracy of the way it displays them doesn't seem to be compatible, so which works quite well on a single photo is completely wrong for the next.

I have attached a file with the default interpretation of the cab on the left and the thumbnail created in Faststone on the right.  Faststone image is very accurate - vivid green and the feathers on the head and neck of the bird are real, not the red tint that ACR created.  I have tweaked and twisted it and although I can get the Greens right, these feathers will never look right, and I played with each slider in ACR, especially the sliders STL.  Although I don't think that this is the case, some might think that the interpretation of the cab is more attractive, but it is not accurate.

I kept hoping that enough other people have this problem and there will be an update, but that never happened.  Yesterday I was going to try to download an EXIF Editor so that I could see what would happen if I changed the EXIF of GH4 GH3, McAfee, but warned me that he download was dangerous so I stopped there.  Is there a tool in my suite Adobe complete which would allow me to edit the EXIF data?  Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

After some research, it seems that Adobe didn't create profiles of cameras for the GH4, unfortunately...

For me, both of your samples look close enough and I do not think that they would need much tweaking to look almost identical.

Regarding the pieces of color, they work quite well in most conditions. The version of Datacolor creates an XMP preset of the HSL sliders for fine tune hue of each color channel and tone. The version of X-Rite creates a color profile in the ACR camera calibration tab and LR.

Since the release of Datacolor uses the tools of LGV, the files must be in raw format. This means that you can even apply the corrections to the frames of a video.

  • Output sharpening in Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR)

Output sharpening in Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR)

I want to do two-pass sharpening - capture and output - with output just before printing. I do the initial sharpening (capture) in the Panel of the cab detail/sharpening, with amount slider game for example, 100.  Then, I open the PS CS5 image as a smart object and use layers and masks for more editing.

My question is, can I go back to ACR for the final (output) sharpening pass?  When I re - open the file in ACR, the sharpening amount slider is zero, but the other three sliders are still at the settings I used at the beginning of the process, i.e., capture sharpening.  If I still once set the amount slider to a positive value, and then open the image in PS for printing, will be my second pass through the ACR sharpening Panel take effect - it will accumulate on top of the initial sharpening?

Moreover, the reason why I want to give sharpening in ACR, rather than, say, PS Unsharp Mask, is if I can use the masking slider in ACR, which is much easier than the comparable techniques available in PS.  I am aware that some people say that you shouldn't perform any masking for output sharpening. I would, however.

    Thanks for the ideas.

Not sure about the amount reset... I think that something is happening out there. But to answer your question, the details of Camera Raw Panel is designed to be a capture sharpening and not designed to be output sharpening. Controls are really designed to regain lost sharpness turning light pixels with an optical system only.

He got out there available sharpening in Camera Raw, but only in the workflow Options button. Click on that and you will see the options. Yes, they apply the good output sharpening, but be careful he applies what he you this smart object... no other layers above or below this layer.

  • It is Possible to change the sliders to 8.1...

.. .the way you can in Photoshop?

On my Windows 7 computer, the caps lock change crop slider in ACR to the line of sight that you have mentioned. As I remember, this is how it has always been. Using ACR 8.1.  But I do most of my work in Lightroom, and very rarely I do work directly in ACR.

  • Adjustment of the amount with brush

I want to brush it with negative clarity in ACR.   I was told that when doing this in Lightroom, you can change the amount and get the negative clarity

-200 (using the amount slider) in ACR as many negative adjustment seems to be-100.   Are there settings that I don't know where we can extend this as in Lightroom.   If I create another brush and paint on with negative clarity a second time that would do the same?

    Thank you

    Sue

    Sue,

In LR 3.2, using ACR, negative clarity also is-100.  It could be-200 some time in the past, but is no longer.  In addition, you can add as many negative brushes clarity as you want, the effect is cumulative, but not necessarily what you expect

  • What is the best "workflow" for sharpening Ultimate w PSE 8?

I shoot a lot of flowers near upward and also birds. Both have lots of details, feathers or Stamen, so I rely heavily on the sharpening. With birds, sometimes they are flying or remote or both, which makes it difficult to get sharp photos. Recently, I learned a lot about sharpening and now I am suffering, "I know, more I know that I don't know." In addition, some of my information is based on rumor and I appreciate all the advice. What would you say if I discuss my work flow and ask a few questions here and there.

I shoot RAW with a Canon 7 d and I almost always reduce my photos to nnnn x 1080 for that conversation, lets assume that I always do this downsizing. I heard that reduced pictures should never be sharpened up to the once they are reduced. Is this true? Should I set all sliders sharpening in ACR to zero? Should I also keep the low clarity slider in ACR or is it more your contrast medium and less sharpening? Is there another way to improve the clarity in PSE, ACR not?

When I finished with the cab and open in the elements, the first thing I do is crop and resize using Image, resize, bicubic sharper. Then I correct the imperfections. Then, I select on the subject (s) and adjust the curves of colors and then light sharpening, which seems to give me the best results that Enhance-setting sharpness. (After two years of use of items I found this bright sharpness and it's so good. I wish I would have notice this Brundage in the earlier book. I did ask me what I'm missing.) After light sharpening should I try high-pass sharpening more or any other type of sharpening? Is there empirical rules on what kind of sharpening works best in which application? For example, I heard another rumor that sharpening of the strong or the shadows just increases noise. Is there a good way to handle these situations, as select out them, or use a special blending mode?

After I'm done with the subject, I usually reverse in the background and noise and/or blurr and Desaturate to puncture the subject.

Is Photoshop complete necessary to get the best sharpening tools or sharpening similar and other aspects are more powerful? I use so little of 8 items that I guess and hope that Photoshop or Lightroom would be overkill at this stage.

Thank you very much for this review! If you can think of anyway I could improve, I would really appreciate any comments.

    Doug

I'm a little worried about it:

    Using Image, resize, Bicubic Sharper

Is there a special reason why resampling belongs to your basic workflow? It is generally not something you want to do until you have to.

Hello everyone I upgraded to Lightroom 6.5 but missing the slider to remove the mist has happened to you?

6 Lightroom has never been dehaze. If Lightroom 6.5 won't either.

Is there is no slider in Lightroom 6.3 mist?

No, it is available in the CC with Lightroom version, and not perpetually under license.

    Hi rickyb,.

The Dehaze feature is not a part of Lightroom 6, it only comes with Lightroom creative cloud.

However, for the workaround you try: https://cutthruthefog.wordpress.com/lightroom-6-dehaze/

  • LR 6 Mist reduce with brush

I bought Lightroom 6, 5 months ago. In the newnesses are stated that it is possible to reduce the mist with the brushtool filter or radial.
I do'not find this possibility in my Lightroom.
What can I do to have this ability.
    Thank you

    Hi Selena,

Who was dehaze slider that was introduced in Lightroom CC2015.1 update.

However, it was introduced only for the CC of Lightroom users and not for stand-alone users Lightroom 6.

If you have the stand-alone version of Lightroom, you would not be able to access.

    Kind regards

  • Exhibition of ACR

I was playing around in Camera Raw, just try to improve my skills.  I had a picture of a crowned crane.  I pressed the alt (Windows) key and drag the exposure slider to get a better idea of the break, and I was surprised to see the "BOLD" Posterization when the exposure slider was dragged all the way to the right.  I made a screenshot to save it.  This picture in particular had dramatic lighting that comes well reacted to this manipulation.  Then I compared it to a posterized effect when photography was first introduced to the CS6.  Not nearly as "BOLD" or dramatic.

My question is: is there as a way to actually save this effect in ACR?  I guess there is no, and I can think of ways to get closer to reproduce this effect in PS CS6.  But for those rare occasions where this maneuver in ACR works its magic, it would be nice to be able to save it.

You can save the parameters of development in a preset, so that it can be reused.

  • I tried to download the latest update of Lightroom CC and it says there a download but I can not find in my downloads folder Mac.  The version that I said it is up to date but there is no cursor mist.

I received the notification of the update of Lightroom CC.  I tried to download and it tells me that it is downloading but I can't find in my download folder (Mac), I have now two icons of LR but nor has the new slider of the mist.  Advice please.

    Hi Joel,

    Please follow these steps:

Launch Adobe Creative Cloud and go to the APP and check if it is said cc Lightroom 2015 up-to-date or not.

If he told his day and still you do not see the Dehaze option, then please disconnect the creative cloud and reconnect you and then check if there is another available or not for Lightroom CC 2015 update and refresh it.

And if you don't get the option uninstall Dehaze and always reinstall Lightroom CC Creative cloud himself and check Lightroom for the feature.

Please let us know if this helps

  • The ACR vs Photoshop Masking

Just need to get the Red pants a model a little more dark, pull the slider red in BW, black and white, but want to keep the rest of the image itself. Would you do that in ACR or regular PS, which is easier / better?

    CS5 Mac, thank you.

If you are in grayscale mode in ACR, the Red slider will adjust the reds, but it will be converted to gray, so that you can say lighten the reds. The only way to add color located in ACR is with the Brush tool with the example I posted above. PS, there are all kinds of ways to add color.  However, if you cleck in grayscale in ACR, you will need to change it to RGB in PS for you can work with colors.

  • Lose to the point adjustment brush previews 7.2 ACR

When I move my cursor on a spit (call it pin #1) #1 pin-controlled area loses its forecast - seems to revert to the unedited State. (Although actually, I click on this PIN, as if I want to add to this adjustment brush change.) If I then move the cursor on a brooch, all, preview mode returns to the area controlled by the #1 pin.

This happens with a RAW image, which has just 2 stems of adjustment as well as one that has a dozen adjustment brush rods. By clicking on the preview and causes not the preview back to the PIN that has lost its forecast. It doesn't matter if the RAW file is by using process 2012 or 2010. Get a D300 will make D800E of the NEF files. It doesn't matter if enable Lens profile Correction is enabled. I turned off and relight the GPU use in Prefs and changed size of mosaic Image (that affect ACR)?

I think I found what causes the problem - seems to be a bug for me - but maybe it's my system. The adjustment brush previews work as expected so long the mask option Show is checked AND pin one of the adjustment brush is selected. Thus, a mask is always show.

For example, when a previously edited image is first opened in ACR, some pine brush are selected (see the mask can be verified). If I hover my cursor on one of the pins (for example, I have 6 settings of the brush) the mask will Flash to edit associated, as expected. When I move the cursor away, the edit preview disappears as if the change never happened, but the axis remains. I then select one of the pins by clicking on it to make this live edition. Now, when I move my cursor on a pin the mask so that the PIN flashes on when I move the slider farther than pin mounting preview display. The preview now works for any modification of the brush.

BTW, until I found this "solution" I have updated my V4900 live driver on the AMD - Hp workstation site site was later, just the last pilot, they had tested. My V4900 driver version is 8.982.8.1. However, the driver update did not help.  (Here also to say I called HP support, I talked to a knowledgeable guy. "And the station Web site working has good instructions for flashing a BIOS etc so Kudos to HP.)

  • Dysfunction of detail sharpening in ACR

I use both Mac computers, both with PS CS5 12.0.4, ACR 6.6.0 and x10.6.8 of the OS.

On a single computer, PS and cab work very well.  On the other hand, I have the following problem:

When I apply sharpening in ACR detail panel, affecting all the sliders, and then open the image in the PS as a smart object, sharpening has not taken effect on image in PS.

When I re - open the image in ACR, I find that the amount in the Panel of sharpening slider has re-fixed at zero.  The other sliders on the Panel are always where I had put them.

However, output sharpening in the workflow Options area ACR comes into force on the PS and seems to work very well.

I just reinstalled everything, but no improvement.

As I said, it all works on the other computer, and so I have a reference that the PS should do.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

In which case it might be useful in the future, here is what fixes the problem.

I created another user account on my computer and opened the PS through which.  Detail/sharpening worked well.  The defect was not present, showing that the problem was in my user directory and not in PS.

Back in the original story, I ran cs5cleanscript on Adobe.com to uninstall cs5 and all associated files.  He missed some of them, which I have deleted, as well as old previous PS and cab files in users/name/library/preferences.

    Reinstalled PS.  This works.
