  the mark ii has cr 8.7 or better and ps cs5 can not be updated beyond cr 6.7.

  You cannot install the latest version of Camera Raw in Photoshop CS4. The latest version of Camera Raw that is compatible with this version of Photoshop is version 5.7. If you need a newer version in order to have the support of a new camera, you will need to upgrade your Photoshop, or even use the DNG Converter free to create DNG copies that are compatible with your version of Camera Raw.

  Nikon D7200 files would not be supported in version CS5.

  You can either upgrade to CS6 or CC version to get the latest version of Camera Raw, or you can install the free DNG Converter to convert your raw files to DNG and access then in Photoshop CS5.

• Camera Raw in CS5

  I started just by using my Nikon D7000 and found that the last camera raw plugin for CS5 does not support the raw format the D7000.  I forgot something?  Is there a work around?  Does anyone know if Adobe is going to release a new plugin soon that supports the new format?

  I'm trying the demo version of PS CS4 and try the plug-in Camera Raw, but when I work on a RAW (NEF, NIKON call) file I get a message that the file could not be opened because it is not the right kind of document.  I use Windows 7 and the Nikon D3s have create my images.  I transferred via NIKON Transfer and can open them in the NIKON Capture NX2 program but not PS CS4.

  I searched the update section and found my plug in Camera Raw is version 5.0.0.178, I managed to download the new version 5.6, which was released in December of 1009, but when I try to install, it is unable to complete it upgrade.  I wonder if the inability to update is due to what is a trial version, please help.

  You can always do a manual installation by following the link at the top of the main page to update the ACR 5.6 on page of PSE (elements) update process and then end up on this page for installation instructions of Photoshop CS4 including the location of the directory of plug-ins.

  The manual install ZIP, to sometimes a version 32-bit and 64-bit plug-ins that you can copy just above your .8bi file existing as an executable to run to install camera profiles you'll also need to do.

  How can I have the plugin do not forget the setting (automatic "white balance", activate the default purpose correction)? I need to convert in batches to a bunch of files-dog from time to time and prefer that it is automated, then work on some photos handpicked for the very best results. But that would require the plugin do not forget that I want the lens correction is activated and the white balance to be detected automatically...

  Hi David,

  You can save the settings that you have applied in Camera Raw as a "Preset" and apply to the other images.

  You just bought the nikon d3200 and shot images in raw. I try to open in camera raw and photoshop, but I can't. I tried to download the camera raw update that includes this camera. But it wont let me update - says I need cs6 or cloud. No there is no way for me to be able to open my raw files?

  You pouvez use the latest version of the DNG Converter. Assign to his preference of compatibility to Camera Raw 5.4 and laterand folders duplicates of files raw DNG files, which can be opened by Camera Raw 5.7 under CS4.
