• Problem with a simple integral

  I have 2 problems with a simple integral, and I do not understand how the first HP solves.

  My first problem is that if I add a constant before my variable, the answer becomes really weird.

  My second problem is that if I just change one letter (q becomes Q), the answer changes completely.

  When you type wx you now have a variable named "wx" - not w * x which is what I suspect you intend. You must manually add a multiplication between them.

  When you use the Q, you are actually using the predefined global real variable that is most likely the value 0. If you've stored 2 in Q, I suspect that you'll get a different result. Remember that all variables in capital letters from A to Z and THETA and already defined as real numbers. VARS-> HOME-> REAL-press and you will see them.

• Small problem with the events of the listener

  I have a small interface with 5 radio buttons and a buttonfield and when i click buttonfield I create an event. all this works fine, but when I want to go back to the previous page I see pop up with 3 had to 'save, ignore, reject' and when I click on one of them I create a duplicate of the trial before.

  How can I go to the previous page without showing the pop-up with 3 coiches and without creating duplicate event?

  Basically, my requiremenyt is: I have only one table, TABLE1 here, which has a line two lines (for the same header) as "ABC" and another is "DEF". Table 1 has two columns (col1, col2) that should be displayed for both lines.

  When the header has two records in table1 top query works. and but if I do not have a record for any header example there are a record for "abc" in col6 only. so my query above does not work because there is no record for 'DEF' in col6. But I want to again request to fecth the output (for b.col1 and b.col2 should have null values)

  could you pls suggest me how to get the 4 columns.

  I wonder if someone could help me with this little problem with Captivate 6 quizes?

  I've set up a quiz and disable the playback bar to save screen space

  I turn off the button 'next' on the issues because it allows to the learner in order to bypass the unanswered questions (and does not trigger the incomplete caption)

  And so I rename the button submit to 'next' - and that's fine, but when the quiz is reviewed there is no 'next' button to navigate between issues

  I thought that I might be able to hide the real button following behind the submit button (labeled 'next'), but finds that it is not possible to change the stacking order of buttons issue

  So, how can I stop the learner without going through questions without answer AND allow navigation during the review of the quiz?

  Hide the next button (Skip) under the clear button.  When you add a quiz for the Clear key is usually on a higher default stacking order.  But if it isn't, just remove and replace the button 'Clear' and it will be over the next button.  Usually, removal and replacement of the buttons on the quiz questions are the only way to manipulate the stacking order.  It's a pain, but this is easily achievable.

• Small problem with Photoshop CS3

  Hi, I have a little problem with Photoshop CS3, I don't know if it's because only option of Windows that I messed up, but the thing is that I got in all the options, or some sort of preferences.

  

  I don't speak of the 'little window' (I don't know the exact name) come, in this case, the filter and analysis options, they just turn right and usually, down it on their left side. It's really annoying.

• Problem with users simple Javascript running in an Active Directory environment

  I support the local government environment.
  After the latest updates for firefox 25.0.1 and Java 7 update 45 we are facing a lot of difficulties to access the sites provided by the central Government.
  In some cases, the problems are solved by re - install java or that allow plugins to run.
  In a particular case, we can access all the features (same photos and links to java scripts) to a site by using an administrator account, but cannot use a simple user. Activation of java deployment toolkit and Java (TM) platform plugins for the site did not work.
  Computers face the problem to run Windows XP Pro + SP3.

  The same issue does not appear when you run google chrome...

• Several problems with a simple replacement of the subset of table

  I'm new to LabVIEW and I try to teach me how to use it.  As you can imagine, I'm running into a few barriers.  The code that I'm including embodies many of my problems.  If someone can explain to me how to improve this code, I would be grateful.

  Copy the following code is a simplified version of a more complex code, that I'm writing.  In the simplified code, I have a control ('VALUE') that I would like to register at different locations in my table of 5 x 3.  To do this, I tried to make a 5 x 3 constant I could replace it with the value of the control.  The code does not work as expected and this is my specific problems:

  1. I can't initialize the array constant (the one I intend to crush).  I can only initialize the first row.  Based on the help files, I thought I should be able to initialize it by clicking on the boxes in the chart on the block diagram and entering values.  But it doesn't seem to let me do this.  Don't know if there is a special way to open when more than 1 dimension is involved?

  2. my slider controls are intended to establish where in the table to place the element.  But is not no longer works.

  3. I can't understand how properly to a code which has a while loop integrated in a while loop.  Someone recommended using a structure of the event, but as a beginner, I will have trouble to know how I would enact who.  I tried to play with the settings of locking/switching the button stop, but that did not work, either. The problem seems to be that, if I am inside the while loop, the program does not see my stop command.  Is there a way to connect as the stop button works, regardless if I'm inside the another while loop?  If not, is there a way to accomplish what I want in the smallest loop without using a while loop?  If I used a structure of the event, how would I created an 'event' to tell the program to store a new data point in the array?

  Also note that in LabVIEW array indices are zero-based.  If the values of the row index can be 0, 1, or 2.  If you want your users to see 1, 2, and 3, then put a function decrement between the terminals of the cursor and the function replace table subset.

• Small problem with the tween class?

  Hey everyone, I have a site that incorprerates several different interpolations, interpolation, running on a timer in the main movie(scrolling text), another developed with a button click (scrolling images) in a film that is loaded into the main movie. My problem is that tweens sometimes freeze, especially the scrolling text and from time to time, random images, interpolation of images scroll freezes. I should mention that I have several different EventListeners in the background to mouse clicks, and I have small (15 k) SWFs loaded into the film every 3.5 seconds. If anyone knows why the tweens freeze sometimes? could it have something to do with the loading and the EventListeners, or I have to live with?

  Interpolations of freezing is usually caused by the instance of Tween getting the garbage collector. You must have the persistence of a reference to the Tween to prevent it of to GC would be. In other words, if you do this:

  new Tween(obj,'x',etc...)
  

  While Tween will get destroyed the tracks of time following GC. Instead, follow these steps:

  tween = new Tween(obj,'x',etc...)
  

  steerage "would be a property of the object in scope when the Tween is created.

  Also, you can create the Tween instance once at the beginning and assign to a property and use Tween.continueTo () to make the animations.

  I recently added a Brother printer to my IMac and ran into a minor problem.  When I put in place using my WiFi and AirPrint, the dialog box has a convenient box for the black and white that I was able to check in one easy-to-replace step and just print in color.  However, the alarm time and the answer is a bit slow.  So, I then plugged a cable and add this version of the printer.  Now the box is missing and nothing I've been able to do, to delete and add new printer allowed me to bring that?  Any ideas on how I can get this feature practice appears in the dialog box with the printer connected to the cable?  Thank you.

  If I understand correctly, you have now two entries separated for this printer to Print & Scan? It's OK, although AirPrint is better for various reasons.

  I understand the printer takes an unacceptable amount of time to wake up to when choosing the AirPrint printer, and you want to avoid this.

  If you have added a separate entrance - one for the USB printer connected - how who you? Did you leave the print & Scan install this printer automatically on its own, or did you download and install a driver of brother separately?

• Problems with the simple serial communication.

  I followed a tutorial online to start learning basic communication series. The involved tutorial shorting pins 1 and 3 on port 1 Comm and write a simple program (attached). I've edited it a bit, the program to see varied results I get when trying to write and read a simple sentence via a serial port.

  Could someone explain what causes the kind of result shown in "Serial Comm example.png"? I think it has to do with timing. Why would be transmitted only the parts of the sentence?

  What should be pins 2 and 3?  On a standard serial port DB-9, pin 2 is the receive and pin 3 is the transmission.

  Now for your code...

  1. move the Serial Port to be before the loop to set it up.  Simply configure the port once.

  2. close the port after the loop.

  3. managing your error after closing.

  4 stop your loop on an error or the stop button has been pressed.  You will need a RC in there.

  5. no need to Flush Buffer function.  Remove it.

  6. using the bytes to the Port is a dangerous thing.  It introduced all kinds of race conditions that are interesting.  Instead, say VISA reading to read the number of bytes that you expect to read.

  6a. Moreover, don't forget to send a character to end of line at the end of your data and all the number of bytes to read something a lot more than you ever expect read.  The VISA read will stop reading when he a) sees the number of bytes, it was said to read, b) sees the stop character (currently enabled and set to a line break, which is part of the end of line), or c) the time-out occurs.  Whichever comes first.

  7. with 6, the wait is no longer necessary.

• Two small problems with CSC

  I've known two little glitches for a few months with CSC. Can someone confirm them please?

  First of all, the RSS FEED no longer work, unless I connect. Without you connecting to CSC, STREAM RSS are not downloaded - my RSS reader (brief plugin for Firefox) simply displays an exclamation point and download anything, as if the URL is not valid. Unfortunately, I can't provide any further information that the communication is done via HTTPS, so the entire conversation between my browser and RSS feeds to the CSC is encrypted.

  Secondly, I am under Firefox 12.0 (actually, Iceweasel 12.0 under Debian, which is just a Firefox renamed due to licensing issues) and is no longer automatically fills the stored credentials to access the page of connection on the CSC. I don't know if there is a change in the behavior of CSC or if it is a bug in Firefox, but I wanted to ask if anyone else has the same problem.

• Small problem with calendar

  I can't access the dates beyond February 28, 2009.

  Problem solved!  I had several daily repeat events every day during the month of March.  When I eliminated, the calendar worked again.

  The end date is not the issue; I tried to place an 'end date' and the problem comes back.  The problem occurs with any event that repeats in March 2009. Recurring events until February 28, 2009 and after March 31 are very good. Any periodic event in March freezes to the top of the machine if it has assigned an hour (recurring events "without time" don't cause a problem).
