• What is the best way to manipulate the shape of a layer to smart object in Photoshop?

  I have a smart object in photoshop which is a rectangle, and I want to deform slightly so it looks it was filed on the ground (basically, I need to change the position of the corners to make it look in perspective).

  If I did that to an object in Illustrator I was going to just use the direct Selection tool and drag the anchor points in the corners of the rectangle. I know there is a direct selection tool in Photoshop, but my smart object doesn't seem to have all the anchor points on it to manipulate (v. new Photoshop user, sorry).

  I know you can use a mesh of string objects, but as this is just a simple rectangle I was hoping that it would be a less complicated way? That it's just the positioning of the corners that must fit.

  You can use Edition > free transform or Ctry/Cmd-T, to reshap the smart object.

  I have a question which I think has a simple solution, but it is difficult to find.

  I have a photo from a greeting card with rounded corners. I made the greeting card in shape a dynamic object... I want to drop my vector art of cards in the smart object to create easy shots for a website (model model style).

  My problem is this: when I stick my chart in the psb to smart object document, it remains within the limits of the object dynamic when I save it and return to the document .psd. for example if I fit my larger vector art, there will be a great vector art saved in the original psd rather than inserting in this "round card window. What I am doing wrong, that my account will be not cropping correctly? Same thing with if I try to add textures, they do not stay within the smart object... I'd appreciate your help with a simple solution. Some pictures below.

  I use Photoshop CS6, but I have the confirmation that this happens on CS4, CS5 and CS5.1 too.

  Is this considered a bug? Is this likely to go away? Is there a workaround solution, knowing that I need to use two native vector lines and the effect of layer STROKE on a layer?

  1. I used the pen tool to trace the path your sine curve (open).

  2. I then selected a Brush tool and stroked path using the icon right at the bottom of the path Panel - it could be any brush style/color you want.

  3. I then did a for the light gray outer glow layer style.

  We should be able to minimize artifacts by the presence of a larger pixel count document.

  PS: what might worry more than the slight deepening top/bottom-outside is the sharp object inside top/bottom-of the sinusoidal race.

• Missing bookmarks in the smart search field in Safari

  Since the release of El Capitan 10.11.6, favorites are missing from the smart search field in Safari to new Windows.  If a Safari any page web (so far), clicking in the search box if poster is Favorites to view icons, as is expected.

  Is this a bug, or can I make some adjustments to bring them new windows?

  Hello Dick Huitema.

  If I understand your message to the right, when you open a new window in Safari, you do not see your favorite icons in the smart search field.  When I use Safari, I always like to have my favorites available and ready to use, so I can understand why you would be tender for assistance with this.

  You probably feel that if Safari is set to open new windows in an empty page. If yours is configured in this way, there is a very easy way to get these favorites icons to show without actually changing any settings. When you open a Web page, you should see a blank webpage with your top search bar and a cursor blinking in the search bar. Instead click inside the search bar right away, click anywhere on the empty Web page and then click on in the empty search bar. You should then see your Favorites icons appear.

  Another option is to set your homepage to your Favorites. You can do it in Safari > Preferences. On the general tab in Safari preferences, select the drop-down menu next to "new windows open with", and then choose favorite. This should ensure that when you open new web pages, all your Favorites icons show immediately. Favorites icons always appear in the smart search field when additional tabs are open as well.

  brief update: discovered that - after several days - spotlight indexing is still active. So strongly assume that this oddity Mail 10.0 is down to the indices not being ready to be read.

• SMART HARD drive after OS update failure

  I was updating of El Captian 10.11.6 to macOS Sierra 10.12 by Mac App Store. First of all, there were not officially available in India in the update Section.   Looks like your hard drive has failed if you get the SMART errors. Readers tend to fail when they are pushed hard, such as during a major software upgrade. I hope that you will have a Time Machine current backup so that you can restore your machine once a new hard drive is put in place.

• the smart playlist content

  I have a smart playlist that indicates that it contains 850 songs.  The content is another reading list that indicates that it contains songs of 2200.  Why are they not the same?  I designated the content as the other playlist and requested do not repeat that whatever it is played during the last 21 days.

  If the second selection rules, something like "Playlist" "is" "Playlist 1" and "Last played" "is not in the last" "21" "days", while the second should be shorter. "

• iPad keyboard Smart Pro

  Since the upgrade to iOS 10 my smart keyboard is not recognized by my iPad Pro, when I connect it a message pops up saying: "This accessory is not supported by this device. I have already reset my iPad to factory using my macbook, but it made no difference. Anyone got any ideas? It seems a few people having problems with the Smart keyboard since the upgrade to 10 but can not find someone else on secondment is not at all supported load/work?

• empty selection smart iTunes on iphone

  I have updated to iOS 10.  I created a new smart playlist.  It appears in iTunes fully filled.  When I go on my iPhone to play list.  It manifests itself here, but it is empty.

  I have older / pre iOS 10 smart playlists that appear correctly.

  I tried a few more things.  I took an old list and it duplicated.  It has synchronized in 8 seconds approximately.  Then, I changed the settings in the smart list to match what I had.  The list updated and empties.  I noticed that he did not like the parameter 'group's  However, I have other active lists that use the setting "Grouping is" and they work.  Maybe the new field, which I have added to the grouping is not be downloaded to iCloud music?  So it is not available for correspondence in the rules?  I'm running an update of genius and an update of the iCloud library.  I'll try testing again to see if that makes a difference.

• Download movies and Smart TV

  So, I want to buy and download the 4 seasons of Lois and clark... I don't like amazon bc you can't actually download and it costs 120, so if I didn't have internet or must travel I wouldn't be able to watch... or if they are no longer supplied digital content... So if I buy it on itunes I know I can download it, but is there a way to watch it on my other smart tv then having to buy apple tv and be able to watch it on pc if I wanted to?

  Side note: I have a mac, I would just be able to have options especially when spending money.

  Apple TV would be ideal, but you should be able to watch a standard definition version of the movie on a TV with a cable of your MacBook Pro.

  You can watch your movies purchased in iTunes on a Mac or a PC, it don't make no difference.
