Smart Install - vstack vlan other then vlan 1

Hello people

Someone managed to get smart to install work on a vlan other then vlan 1?

Our installation would be:

DHCP - Local Director

TFTP - server ekstern

Management vlan 209

My problem is that when I connect the customer switch to a normal trunk "sw mode trunk" we use the vlan 1 by default natively and obviously no traffic comes from vlan 209 to the new switch. It works (IOS downloads and startup-config) when I connect the switch client to an access port on vlan 209.

I went through several docs and videos but every show vlan 1 as the vlan vstack.

According to this guide should be possible to use a vlan, the vstack management 1.

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/switches/LAN/smart_install/configuration/guide/smart_install.PDF

Could someone help me? I'm stuck here for a while...

Best regards

Isaac

Yes I'm not sure how big the thing PLEASE will, I'm racking my brain trying to remember, I think that when VLAN_Inconsistencies are detected on a trunk VLAN may not to enter into the State of dispatch or something, but my memory is fuzzy at best. I think you can stop this, perhaps with something like BPDUFilter on the upstream side of the trunk. In this case could turn on to enable Zero Touch configure and upgrade of the switch, then as soon as the switch is configured you may have vlan corresponding native on both sides and the BPDUFilter could be disabled. Kind of, I see that something like a window join, it do not touch true zero, but includes a security feature where necessary before an intelligent installation can occure. For me, it's a good thing, but for others, it could be a pain in the ass. Of course in any case be careful when you play with everything which can interfere with STP, BPDUFilter is a point of obvious exclimation for this warning.

I think that you would have problems with L3 that the config of default on a white switch will have all ports in switchport mode and you cannot switch zero touch and also set the port no switchport mode at the same time. Except if you reference that the L3 SVI for VLAN 1 on the Director. Obviously that solves all your problems with Smart Install: Burkina Faso / vlan 1, but then you have routing on your TFTP and DHCP server possibly GANYMEDE and at your resort management, so in my mind you basically start to actively use VLAN 1 for management. In my case, it's unacceptable because all our switches have a low VLANS numbered (never 1) as their management interface and it is the only interface I leave LMS contact them on. Since LMS is discovered through COP and COP always finds the IP address of the lowest numbered VLAN on your neighbor switch creating VLAN 1 would be very bad for us. She also defeats all security principals on the use and appropriate size of the vlan 1.

  • LaserJet p1102w: HP Smart Install Drive

    Hello

I have a HP LaserJet p1102w connected to my PC via USB. It works very well and is shared on the network. One thing that is weird is the presence of a virtual CD drive (H:\), titled "HP Smart Install. It's there whenever I start my computer, even if I eject it or take it apart. My question is "why is the disc it? ' and ' how can I get rid of him? Normally, I don't care, but I think that his presence begins to interfere with operation of my real CD/DVD-ROM. The drive does not open and is not available for virtual machines on my computer because they are mounted.

    Thank you

    Hey Jason,

The HP Smart Install drive is a virtual drive, containing the installation of the printer driver.

You can disable the feature by using the HP Smart Install Utility below.

Follow the steps by selecting your printer and click on the printer button, then turn the feature off and confirm:

I really hope someone is able to help and give me cheaper workaround here. I am currently using the single port thunderbolt that I have on my Mac mini to connect my VGA monitor (with mini display port to VGA). However, I would use an audio interface of stroke of lightning and therefore need to try to free this port so you can connect it.  What are my options here (other then buying a new monitor?) are there adapters that I might be able to use?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Original title: Vista to Win 7 to win 10

I have a laptop with Vista Home Premium installed.  My plan is to install Win 7 and then move on to Win 10.  I have a new full version of Windows 7 Pro SP1 with an activation key.  I have experience update to Win 10 of Win 7, but worry about the installation of Win 7 over Vista.  I guess I have to do a clean install.  There is no problem to meet the minimum requirements of 10.  Can someone give me some advice on the start-up of the conversion of Win 7?  Just insert the disk?  Everything has been backed up and it's ready to go!  Thank you.

Since the family migration to Windows Vista Premium to Windows 7 Professional it will install a clean place, why not simply use your Windows 7 Professional product key to perform a custom Windows 10 Pro install from the go?

I don't see the need to bother installing Windows 7 Professional.

Windows 7 pre installed partion delet back then how to recover windows 7 home prium

    Hello

You have very limited options now that you have deleted the recovery partition.

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they must provide for a fee, if they still have available which is very doubtful.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

I can't disable the Smart Install through the printerdisplay, but I prefer to disable via a tool such as the SIUtility.exe, is there a simular to the HP Laserjet Pro 200 tool?

There is none of these tools for the Laserjet 200.

You can disable the feature through the façade of the pritner or page EWS by accessing the homepage of the printer through Safari - open the HP Smart Install tab, uncheck enable HP Smart Install and click on apply.

  • Understanding Pragma Init Exception and others then exception...

    Hi gurus,

I understand that using the pragma init exception, allows you to associate the user with valid error plsql code defined error message.

But can not be managed using so that other then an exception? Using sqlerrm and sqlerrcode, we can display error messages and log them.

Could you please help me understand this?

    Thank you

I understand that using the pragma init exception, allows you to associate the user with valid error plsql code defined error message.

Correct - the doc of the PL/SQL language

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/AppDev.112/e25519/exceptioninit_pragma.htm

The EXCEPTION_INIT pragma associates a name of the exception defined by the user with an error code.

    . . .

    Error_code

Error code for being associated to exception . error_code may be 100 (digital code for "no data found" this 'function SQLCODE' return) or any negative integer greater than-10000000 except-1403 (another digital code for "no data found").

This doc link also has examples of using the pragma

But can not be managed using so that other then an exception? Using sqlerrm and sqlerrcode, we can display error messages and log them.

Could you please help me understand this?

First – understand this: If you do not go to 'manage' exception you shouldn't use an exception handler initially. Let the exception propagate up to the appellant.

Second - you should NOT use THEN than OTHERS as a replacement for an appropriate exception handler.

Which of them do you find easier to read, understand and maintain?

    1-60

    2 DEADLOCK_DETECTED

Don't you think that ANYONE, no matter how expert, recalled all of the Oracle error codes? The names are much easier to understand than a number.

The pragma is used so that you can explicitly declare an exception handler for one of the unnamed Oracle error codes.

    New - see the documentation

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B19306_01/AppDev.102/b14261/errors.htm#BABGIIBI

To handle error conditions (generally ORA- messages) who do not have predefined name, you must use the OTHERS Manager or the pragma EXCEPTION_INIT .

A pragma is a compiler directive which is processed at the time of compilation, not running.

In PL/SQL, the pragma EXCEPTION_INIT tells the compiler to associate a name of the exception to an Oracle error number. Allows you to make reference to any inner exception by name, write a specific handler for it. When you see an error in the cell, or sequence of error messages, one on top is that you can intercept and manage.

The pragma is used to catch an exception that "should" occur in the execution. Then, this exception can be handled. If it is NOT handled (for example if you just connect it) the exception handler should re - raise the exception rather than just swallowing it.
