SmartAudio tray icon won't die! Vista & X200t

After removing the tray icon of the taskbar Vista Conexant SmartAudio via the checkbox, it reappears after restart.  Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying icon?  I tried to change the setting with and without administrator rights, but nothing helped.

Codec model: CX20561

Driver version: 4.76.0.0

not so smart, SmartAudio Version: 2.50.3.0

Thanks in advance.

FYI, the new drivers of v4.92.2.0 get rid of this useless icon in Vista.

PS Bring system update!

I don't know if there is a way to solve this problem, but the system tray says I am not connected.  When you look at the network it shows my name of computers, a red x and the internet symbol is grayed out.  But when you click the icon with the yellow star in it it shows that I am connected correctly and the connection is full strength.  I have been using the internet like this for a week or so... • Corrupt system tray icons

My system tray icons have disappeared - apparently after an uninstall of Norton Internet Security (itcould be independent - but a lot of things went wrong at the same time!)

I tried fiddling with the options of customization of system tray - hide / show etc - but this has no effect. In addition, in this menu, all icons are false. for example, the volume control - normally a photo of a mini speaker - is now just a folder icon in windows (like most of them) while others have bad program icon.

    Any ideas?

I presume that you have uninstalled Norton via the Control Panel / Add or remove programs.  If you haven't already done so, you must also download and run the Norton removal tool.  For more information, see

My system tray icon settings are lost whenever I restart my laptop.

I tried to reset all settings, I tried to install the experimental fix Windows6. 1 KB979155-x 64.msu nothing works.

I also tried the following registry settings that now I have no more than two keys mentioned and I do not know if they had to be re-created after I cancelled them.

    1. Click Start , type regedit in the Search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click allow .

    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
      Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    3. In the Details pane, click the IconStreams registry entry.
    4. On the Edit menu, click delete , and then click Yes .
    5. In the Details pane, click the PastIconsStream registry entry.
    6. On the Edit menu, click delete , and then click Yes .
    7. Exit Registry Editor.
    8. Restart the Explorer.exe process. To do this, follow these steps:
      1. Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC.
      2. On the process in the Task Manager tab, click the process explorer.exe and then double click on end process .
      3. On the file menu, click new task (run) , type Explorer and click OK .
      4. Exit Task Manager.

The only option is either to have all the icons in the sawn system tray which takes 3\4 of my task bar or do them all hidden which is a pain in the neck because I have to open the "new taskbar" every time.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 8520 - icon won't go away?

    Hello

The logo shows from the Blackberry App World, with little through arrow and the Red Star of notification. I have the newest app world, all my applications have been updated last night. I did the battery pull, I left the battery out for half an hour and put again, and I have reinstalled and uninstalled various applications. The logo is always in the corner of my screen at run time, and it won't go away. It's really bugging me!

    Can anyone help?

Well, if there is no new messages on the app world or updates to all the other apps then I'll go with my 1st theory by saying it's bugged. Facebook and Appworld do for me on occasion, where a message icon won't go away, and the only way I make them go away is to uninstall and reinstall. Doesn't hurt to try.
