Smartphones blackBerry 9330, 6OS, Question by e-mail

While at home and at work, I can collect my email.  But while outside, I want to retrieve my emails then home once again, want to "disable my BB email feature."  Is there a way to switch back without having to configure my e-mail account on my BB every time?  Thank you!  ! !

Hi again!

Designed primarily as an electronic device, it is not really easy to do this. There are two ways I can think, each with compromises of complexity and impact.

Disable all data services - in manage connections, you can completely close data services. The compromise here is that it is indeed 'all' of data services. Another compromise here is that, when you re-enable data services, all messages in queue to the top (those who arrived while you had cut it) will be brought back both to your BB.

Use the filter to BIS by default - see this KB:

  • KB04389 Change the filter action by default when no filters exist in your BlackBerry Internet Service account

The compromise here is that it is a little heavy and you cross him to stop delivery so that restart it. Also, with this method, e-mails that have arrived on your email accounts, while he was off never will come down to your BB.

Good luck!

You can try the following steps:

    1. Select sounds (telephone only)

    2. select ring set ring tones / alerts

    3. Select messages

    4. Select e-mail

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 9330 misfortunes red light :(

    Hello

I have a 9330 who is having a few problems this morning. I ran a software update to this topic last night and after that he went to restart, it no longer works. My phone is double my staff and my work cell, so I desperately need! I saw another thread to a kind of cloth for her but I did not know if it works for me, and also I need to redownload OS.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, "it no longer works" gives us nothing to do, so we must guess. A description of exactly what happens when you make a suitable battery pop reboot would be much more useful.

However, to reload your operating system...

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for each model. Please use those as a reference as you go along.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    • KB19915 How to perform a clean reload of the smartphone BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software application software

Those who fail, you can try using BBSAK (bbsak.org) utility, which can often retrieve a bricked BB.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Curve is only download e-mail POP of Comcast if it comes from the BB itself.

So far I was able to receive emails from the POP of Comcast on one condition: if I send it to my BB himself.

I tried to send countless other accounts.  I missed the emails from other places.  I don't let Outlook or any other open customer and all the messages are still on the Comcast server.

I've seen a lot of questions like this in various forums, but most of the trail threads off without resolutions.

    Any ideas?

    SOLVED

Nearly ten calls to Verizon tech support, several hours on the phone, hours of searching on Google and post them in the forums and finally, five minutes after the Verizon representative asked me to hold while he has contact BlackBerry support, the problem is solved.

I hope this helps someone else:

    Options-> Security-> Firewall-> uncheck "BlackBerry Internet Service".

Last night I thought I had solved the problem I was able to receive e-mail from addresses, I sent the. A new problem however: the phone would not ring or vibrate when the e-mail has been received, regardless of the profile settings. I don't know what combination of events made me at this point.

I sent service books, drawn from the battery and the phone returns to the behavior problem I saw in the first place:

    * Could only receive emails that were sent from e-mail accounts that had already been added to the phone.

    * Indicators data (arrows in the upper right) flashed received email transmissions other accounts but the e-mail had not arrived.

At first, I thought that the problem was Google/Yahoo/Comcast, until I tried to send e-mail to my BlackBerry using a Comcast account, which has not been added.

It's certainly frustrating, but I'm happy to have the problem solved.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 8350i Nextel: question Word & Sheet To Go (Standard Version). The whole Plan.

New Member here (I got a new BlackBerry work a month ago) and this is my 1st Smartphone. The company that I work pays the entire Plan, but as we discovered everything really does mean everything! Professional email (Outlook) costs extra and Word To Go, Sheet To Go works best if you pay extra for the Premium Plan except that none of us can remove sheets, routing of telephone calls to my cost today of OnStar 20 cents a minute (used to be free and was a great security function-handsfree) and about 5 or 6 BlackBerry technicians and I can't seem to be able to even get the option of forwarding calls at work... and this is my second Blackberry in 4 weeks.

I like the idea that I can now wear Excel spreadsheets with me which some with formulas. Problem is that every time a new version of one of the spreadsheets will be sent by e-mail to me so I try and delete the old, then download a new. I can't remove sheets of Excel spreadsheets or Word Documents.

Someone told me that I can't remove spreadsheets or once their downloaded word documents. And he is paying extra for the Premium edition!

Is this really true? Sounds crazy me finally fill the memory card then it's useless. The only cure for this that I have found is when I get an email with a Word Document attached or an attached Excel spreadsheet isn't absolutely download it, but save it in saved messages, which means that I won't be able to make a montage in the leaves.

I love receiving e-mail, SMS, etc that I am usually on the road (all work related) but with what I stated above, I really wonder if it's really worth what we pay for the Plan and the purchase of BlackBerry.

Can someone help me and prove me wrong? I would really appreciate it.

    Thank YOU, John

  • Smartphones blackBerry RE Newbie question: address book/Sim Card

I have a BB 8820 Smartphone & my carrier is AT & T. I previously had an LG view & upgraded yesterday to my BB (which I LOVE BTW!) I copied my contacts from my SIM card and managed to transfer all my existing addresses to the new BB. However, for some reason-all addresses see contact phone numbers in the field 'Work' rather than 'Mobile' or 'Home' "They were not show them that way on reading my previous phone screen - so my question is that I have to go in every & each entry address to re - enter the number in the 'Mobile' field & then disable it ' work ' field in order so that it appears as"Sue Mobile"or even just"Sue"when she calls instead of display"Work of Sue"there are entires that are numbers of work , but the majority are not & it gets confusing... make sense? Laughing out loud

Not to be confused... Yes you have to it manually.

And you need to transfer all the numbers from your SIM card to your BlackBerry address book, too.

Then, you can synchronize the BlackBerry to Outlook or Outlook Express and do the editing there. Much easier.

  • BlackBerry smartphone blackBerry bold 9900 QUESTION :(

I am the biggest fan of blackberry phones.  I got the curve 9800 for 2 years and I decided to buy a new blackberry phone. I fell in love with the bold 9900 and a week after buying the phone it turns off suddenly and maintains several reboots on its own and finally gives me an error message. It never turned on after that I went to T-mobile and they said that the phone was dead, so they were replaced by a new and AGAIN the other does exactly the same thing. I went to replace the second and believe it or not my THIRD blackberry 9900 does exactly the same thing. PLEASE SOLVE THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE I CAN'T IMAGINE HAVING ANOTHER MODEL AFTER LOVE THIS ONE

    Yes, it's certainly not good.

    1. you do not have the 9800 for two years, it was only August 2010 launched last.

    2. what applications you have installed on this new 9900 (and subsequent replacement)? You can list them here?

    3. what OS version is on the device? I highly recommend loading OS 7.0.0.353 on this subject.

    4. If the device turns on, REMOVE the battery for a minute, replace it and allow it to restart. It will be "fix" maybe 95% of the questions on these OS devices based on java. Battery pull is essentially an operating system on work values.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 9700 - inability to access e-mail settings

Hello - today, I had to change my password of e-mail on the server of Shaw as a spammer had diverted my address. I could not update the password of e-mail on my 9700. After clicking on the Setup icon, and then tap email, and then the option Internet e-mail account, nothing happens - I go back to the previous page. I tried to access to the
mobile site. BlackBerry.com", as cool by a few others who have experienced this problem, but nothing helped. I keep to redirect to Canadian Blackberry mobile site, and there is no option to scroll down to a tab of Communication, etc. Anyone know how to fix this? I have not had any trouble to change the password in my ipad.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BLACKBERRY MEP 0 QUESTION

    Buenos dias,

Alguien're este foro sabra of algun site online than soluciones los Blackberry 0 para el mep put question?

    Of photos muchas gracias

Hola thanks for participate in el foro.

Para you comodidad, BlackBerry tiene su propio foro community in Spanish:

But just in case, you can translate from English...

Please see this thread useful to start:

If you have exhausted all your chances to enter the correct unlock code, is there nothing more, that you can do. Even if you happen to have the right code now, it is useless. Only the factory can now (legally) unlock your BB. In general, I've heard that the cost of having RIM do this for you will be higher than the cost of just buying a new. But, you are able to ask them... see here:

Note, however, that this process will begin with a tax...

If you obtained your unlock code from somewhere, but it was incorrect, that your remedy could be with them - however, they may well wonder why you exhausted all 10 attempts before contacting them.

If your BB was already locked MEP and you got it from a source that represents as that can be unlocked, then your recourse would be with the seller that you got it.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackberry 8900 google maps and e-mail application

Hi, I got a new blackberry from AT & T on the beginning of June in the United States, I don't have a data plan.

The problem is: 1, after that I downloaded the google by wireless e-mail application, I can't install it. 'This program requires a working data connection. Please check your parameters of resistance and the connection of the signal and then restart the application. "

    2. after I downloaded the maps, during installation, 'lost data connection '.

What is the root of the two problems? Is it because I changed the configuration?

[In "the default browser configuration" I lit "hotspot browser". In "the default WAP browser configuration" I turned on 'Community '.

    In TCP/IP: APN: wap.cingular

Sorry you need a data plan for e-mail and maps.

  • How can smartphones blackBerry we separate phone and e-mail messages?

I'm new to the blackberry and do not see a way to separate my phone messages from e-mail.  There is an icon for my email inbox (marked my email address) but these messages also appear on the "messages" icon mixed between the activity of my phone.  What I want is to have only phone messages/activity (missed calls, etc.) under an icon and my email under another icon.

Is there a way to stop the e-mail of projection under the icon of 'messages '?  Can someone explain how to do this please?

It helps me a lot.  I still prefer having two distinct though - one phone and one for only by e-mail.  I just out of luck, or are you aware of a shareware or spare parts program that can achieve what I'm looking for?

    Best regards, Tim

Hmmm, seems that I just give you the necessary instructions for this. ALL your e-mail will come to the electronic record.

All your phone call logs appear in the call log display and not in the messages folder.

  • Smartphones blackBerry MicroSD card question

Hello people, new user of BB here.

I would get a larger microSd card to load music on my turn.  Two questions: what the largest capacity card can be used and I did too, the really important speed rating?  It seems that most cards advertise speed 2 side - is fast enough?

    Thanks in advance,

Lack of time here in Eastern PA today (Foulwx)

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

SD card capacity is determined by level OS you run... see this KB:

    • KB05461 Formats supported by the version of BlackBerry Device Software of card MicroSD

As for the speed rating... I've not seen anything that deals with this, which makes me believe that the speed of the card is not the factor limiting.

    Hope that helps!

  • Smartphones blackBerry with calendar questions probably a problem of setting

Howdy all! I just changed a curve (which I really liked) to a "BOLD" (which I love!) I think I have a handle on most of the small difference, but have a problem with the screen of the MCH that makes me crazy! I can't seem to view the following two pending appointments under the "calendar" icon (of course it does not show the first two messages email either, but I can live with that). I tried a couple of different themes that display these options in their view example (most recently the Blackberry Storm today than themes4bb.com) but still no appointment until I actually open the calendar application. I think that it is in a setting somewhere, but I just feel like a "retarded" because I can not find it. Anyone out there have any ideas? I would really appreciate the help.
