  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   Hi, I recently bought a BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphone. I want to transfer music from my computer to the BlackBerry files. I have already installed the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. But even after I connect the BlackBerry to the USB port of my PC, when I click on "Media Manager" in the Desktop Manager, a message appears saying: "Media Manager is only supported using a USB connection, to run the Media Manager, please connect your device to your computer via a USB cable.

  When I check my BlackBerry, there are the popup on the screen:

  "The source of load connected to your Blackberry device cannot charge your battery. Some USB hubs may not supply enough power. Plug the hub into a socket (if available), then reconnect your BlackBerry device. Connection to another (different computer, USB hub or USB power) USB port check that the USB cable is properly connected to your BlackBerry device and a USB port, check that your computer is not in sleep mode, standby mode or hibernation.   I can check all of the above, except for the drivers USB BlackBerry. Can someone tell me where I can download it? Moreover, I did not have a SIM card, I do not know if that plays a role in the present.

  Have a SIM won't matter for what you are wanting to do.

  1. make sure that you are connected to a main REAR usb port, not a USB port on the front or a usb hub.

  2. one. Go to Options > Media Card
  (some themes or BlackBerrys can call this ' settings > Media Card ")

  b. check the following parameters (if they are that way, then changes according to the following:)

  • Media card support: on
  • Mass storage Mode support: on
  • Auto enable mass storage: Yes

  c. save the settings and exit

  Please try in the same sequence:

  1 - Save your pocket computer.

  • KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • You expect a registration messages in your Inbox messages.

  2 remove and return your Service book

  • KB05000 : Remove the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 : Send service for the BlackBerry Internet Service directories
  • (Wait an Enrollment Message arrives in your Inbox for each email that you have configured on your device)

  3. and then do a restart of battery like that pull while the device is powered on remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert back

  After restarting, please check if you are able to send or reply to emails, if the problem persists then refer to this Knowledge Base and try these solutions:

  I got a BlackBerry Curve 8520 at work for some reason, my BIS does not work, it says not connected and I can't seem to fix. The here's what I've done so far.

  1. checked with my carrier (MTEL.BG) I have all the necessary data active serivices.

  2 rebooted a few times handheld (battery pull and waited 30 seconds).

  3 Resed to factory settings.

  Tried to register my device using host Routing Tables (the table is empty), but nothinh happens.

  Called tech support and they attempted to register my devide without success. They said that my pocket computer probably have a fault and replace it.

  Somehow, I think that my carrier or my own missing something and this should be fixable.

  Any ideas?

  EDIT: my phone signal is still on board, but I noticed that colleagues (with BIS job) have EDGE instead.

  Overall, honestly, it's your carrier which should solve this problem. If you bought the BB through the carrier and they can't or won't to solve it not, then by all means in their recommendation of replacement.

• BlackBerry smartphone BlackBerry Curve 8520 stuck in alt mode

  My BlackBerry Curve 8520 you wet a few days earlier, he has since remained dry with all parts removed on top of my Virgin Media box. I checked for damage today & it seems to work very well, besides the fact that he is stuck in alt mode.

  Any suggestions on how I can get it out of the alt mode? The button does not appear to be stuck. The 'alt' in the corner icon changes in '123' when I select the button to the left, but when he deselected the ALT mode changes

  I've done a few handfuls of battery, removed all applications third & re-installed operating system.

  To be able to type normally with letters I either press and hold ' Back/back', 'X' 'V' or 'B' button, or the button of "$". While taking these I can choose if I want to 'alt' or not, but then it returns when I let go anyway.

  A using the phone just on BB messenger, hold button ' $' to type letters & mode alt exploded its own! Hope he doesn't now!

  I have a blackberry 8520, I've had it for about 2 months now.  My blackberry battery gets really hot for the hour, the battery dies.  This happens randomly.  First time it happened to me I was in a movie theater and had the phone on silent. The second time it happened I he was wearing my belt and got home on fort.  I do not keep applications running and usually only use the phone for txts and emails. My fiancee bought his blackberry curve 8520 the same day and it has the same problem.  My blackberry is updated with the latest version of the software.  Anyone else have this same problem?  Any advice on what could be the problem?  Thank you

  Even if you do not, there was probably an application running in the background, even left a current Web browser.

  Or, your battery could be bad. It happens. If the problem persists, you can redeem it at your local retailer.

  I recently installed the updated my Curve 8520 preconfigured and saved successfully to my Blackberry Desktop software. However, when I try to synchronize Organizer data to the "select data to synchronize Organizer" screen, I cannot check the option buttons. I tried to configure settings, when a warning message informs me that it is to determine the configuration name root to the main system. Then an alert message 'intellysync' indicates an unknown error.

  I tried to reset the settings (which has reported a successful reset), but it still does not work it is to say I would sync.

  Version of the 5.2.0.64 platform
  5.0.0.592 application version (Bundle 1096)

  In fact, I got my answer from another forum of customer.  What I had to do, is to perform a hard or soft reset of my blackberry curve.  I chose a warm reboot and that seems to have done the trick.

  Hello it would be really great if someone can help me with this problem.

  I use a v5.0.0.681 BB Curve 8520 Smartphone (EDGE WIFI)... Since nearly a month now, I am facing a problem every time that I m using my personal number for more than 5 minutes in a stretch... Even while browsing on the internet or during the call jst blurs screen goes completely white and then I have to take d battery reinsert nd only and he will try to restart for a min or so nd again go to halfway sompletely white... The only way that the phn restart is to reinsert the battery while being attached to the charger... Although there no battery problems as when the phone starts again the indications of the battery is correct and shows not a battery empty out.

  I updated the software frm BB website and also tried to delete all the new applications that I had downloaded, but still the problem will... The phn works perfectly and does not freeze even once when it is constantly connected to the charger... But it is not practically possible...

  Please help me with this problem as soon as possible...

  I had the same problem and my batt started sweal a bought a new mattress and its mines great work showed that batt was half full and it would only work n restart when charger is plugged it would turn white if it was fresh for more than a few minutes off the sounds as if you need a new battery hope this helps xxx

  The JVM error indicates there is an incompatibility of binary java (if remember correctly), but the problem is easily solved in Os reload.

  But try first start secure by removing battery and press and hold the "back" button and reinsert the battery while the key is pressed, when the bar reached release quarter way loading the previous key.

  If it boots successfully remove the 3rd party app and restart normally.

  If it does not reload the Os.

  1. open the bb desktop software

  2 remove the battery from your bb phone 3. connect the phone BB to the computer without the battery

  4. the bb desktop software will give you the error msg bb software cannot communicate with the device

  5. click on update. the bb desktop software will check for device software available bb. Note: If the bb phone has a password a prompt to enter at this stage.

  6. Enter an email address or uncheck the option for e-mail when new versions are available.

  7. click on install update

  8. a pop-up window will be displayed indicating when you have finished the unit must be activated with the wireless network. without disconnecting the device from the computer, put the battery back in the device, and then click ok. Note: If you miss the opportunity to put the battery in the phone bb at the appropriate stage, and the upgrade fails, click on 'Retry '. If it continues to fail, please repeat the process. Note: once the upgrade is complete your bb phone will take probably 20 to 30 minutes to restart. It is a normal behavior.

  9. a message appears to indicate that your software update is 10. Click Close.

  Please note that helped me to consider to the jvm error 517... This I learned from the CB forum where a RIM employee recommends this method regarding this error. This method begins with NO battery inserted at the beginning of the charging, but inserted later.

  Seeing that you have JVM 523, it might still work.

  Once it is activated, you will be able to use BlackBerry Messenger with no impediment.
