  I've been editing on a project over a week and it disappeared. I'm under 10.9.5 with fcp 10.1.4. The media has not changed and there is another project based on the same files that is always there, but my main project is simply not there. I looked at the content of the library, and he's not here. I opened upward versions if the library back on a month and it's not there either. I have the same hip drive and all files are there

  If its not in one of the libraries of backup, then the more likely possibility is that the main project has been edited in a montage of clip, rather than in a project calendar. (It's a fairly common thing).  Depending on how many clips you have in your browser, it may be a bit tedious to confirm or disprove this explanation because you will need to right click each of the clips > open in the timeline. I hope one time clip will contain the changes you're looking for.

  I finished work on a WMM project today - an I have had for more than a month now - recorded, closed it and shut down my computer as usual. When I turned on my computer back a few hours later, the project has disappeared! I looked on the computer, found the shortcut under recent items, but he did not open it.   The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

• Project disappeared after that put 10.2.3 update

  Yesterday morning, I upgraded 10.2.3 and then started working on a new project. Today I continued my work and then, when the program was lagging behind a bit, I closed and reopened. The project was empty. The event, all the imported data and selections that I had dragged my calendar were still there, but the project was completely empty.

  I tried to "Open the backup library", but although I had several backups available until days before, after opening a library later this morning (which was too empty), I got the gray selection by saying: "no available backup.

  What is going on? I lost all the hours of work? Is this a bug?

  I have a Time Machine backup, but I would restore not rather the whole system until last night just for this glitch.

  BTW, Time Machine can restore the items selected; you don't need to restore the system.

• The content of my project disappeared!  All that remains are two windows of reverberation.  When I try to come back, I said that I don't have permission to access to "000". ***.  A working day dreading telling the band disappeared.

  Spent the whole day a tape.  Everything was fine.  Open the project to make some changes final and all went except for two windows of reverberation.  I checked all the Time Machine backups and they are all the same.  It's weird because I'm compulsive about registration of all five minutes or less.  One of the members of the closed group of logic pro x at the end of the session and a message saying 'save document CD' came.  CD was the name of the song that we recorded.  They clicked on Yes.

  I tried to revert to a previous version in logic pro x.  However, when I use the return option, I get a message saying 'you are not allowed access 000!

  Help.  Dreading telling the band that a days worth of work was lost.

  I was recently working on the 3rd video of the year for my daughter using Windows Movie Maker. I worked on it for a few months now. I save every 10 minutes or more. I was almost finished and clicked on save, and I got a popup that I was 'Out of Memory' that happens from time to time. Then I tried to save it under a different name, and then I got a new popup that says "unknown error." I decided to close Windows Movie Maker, and then restart the computer. I then noticed that the icon/file for my project was no longer visible. I checked the trash and he wasn't there. I did many searches for it on my computer with the file name and the file extension, nothing and also restored my computer to a few days earlier and the project file does not re - appeared. • External HD FCPX ejected 10.1.4 when editing now the project is missing

  Hi, I am using FCPX 10.1.4 OSX 10.11.2 my library is saved on an external hard drive as well as my media. If you change a project my external drive mounted and ejected itself unexpectedly. I got a pop up saying FCPX could not save the project and presented me with a button "quit". I hit that and reassembled the drive and opens again to FCPX. Now, next to the event in the library, there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and my project disappeared! I edited this project once before so it should have at least saved as the correct version? Where is my project now or he has just deleted? Any help would be greatly appreciated during the recuperation of this project. Thank you.

  Look in backups of movies / Final Cut, and then double-click the last created stamped library until the disc was ejected.

• Project on external hard drive is missing! Help, please!

  Hello, my name is Alex Randazzo, and Ive been working on this project for the past 3-4 years and I am within a month of a feature by 2 1/2 hour of finishing. I have the project saved on several external hard drives, but I spent last week working on the project on A external hard drive, is no longer only than the other drives.

  I was working on my project, and all of a sudden a warning popped up message, warning THAT FCPX has detected a problem, exit FCPX now to save your project.

  I left FCPX, I have encountered this problem before and have had no problem leaving FCPX and restarted with the result of everything being fine.
  I did it once again.  But this time, when I opened FCPX back, my project disappeared! I don't know what to do!

  The project is loaded in the timeline panel, but the project is empty.

  The event is raising Dragons Movie0 and it is the only one who doesn't even have a box of purple and the star.

  

  WWhat version? What OS? Close the application. Go in library bundle and place the flexolibrary file in the trash. Relaunch the application. If the database rebuild you will have to try to open a recent backup.

• Adding my own music to Windows Movie Maker projects & computers mi change project.

  I used Windows Movie Maker to make two DVDs for the graduation of daughter gifts.  I was almost done and tried to add my own music but can't seem to figure out how.  In addition, I discovered that my disc on my computer was not working so I saved my projects to a USB key and went to another computer.  When I opened the project format and title pages were there, but all the photos that I spent hours to download and organize projects disappeared.  How can I get my projects into DVD, and how do I add my own music in them?  If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. I'm short on time.

  The Movie Maker project file does not include the source files
  (Photos, video clips, music videos) it simply records the path
  the files have been imported since the file/s.

  Whan you see red Xs where thumbnails used to be
  in Movie Maker, it indicates the original source files have
  been deleted, moved, renamed or is otherwise not available.

  If you had a backup file of all source files on your new
  system, you can right-click on the red Xs and get access to the
  location of the files and restore the path, otherwise
  you will have ot start again.

  With regard to the addition of your own music... If you have any questions
  import music files it is probably a problem of format.
  Convert music clips on the. WMA format before
  import into Movie Maker should provide a better result.

  This sign of warning with the sign of the triangle and exclamation point is typically due to synchronization, which is a failure, but there could be other reasons as well.

  I would advice allows you to check first with the internet connection. Probably, try to connect to a different network as well and let the sync app.

• Snapshots files remain on the disk

  A few days ago that I needed to remove some snpshots but 5 GB of free space on the disk was not enough, then the error message "cannot delete the snapshot" popped up, the snapshot in the Snapshot Manager had disappeared, but the files were still there. I created a new capture instant, deleted and all files have been grouped for my snapshot folder was returned to 0bytes, everything is beautiful.

  After continuing to work with my vm I created ss, deleted ss without error msg, but now there are files left in my folder of snapshots again without a corresponding section in the Snapshot Manager (VM 50 GB, Snapshots 7 GB).

  In addition, I am not able compact virtual disks (my virtual machine contains two system + data): when clicking on compact, the error "the system cannot find the specified file" occurs. File log says VMw seeks a vmdk in the root folder, but the file is located in the snapshot folder now.

  Creates a full clone of the files with correct sizes, 50 GB VM, instant 0GO, but I can not and do not want to create a clone every time I need to save space on my SSD.

  How to delete the files?

  When cloning you will have only the different UUID and a different MAC address. The operating system did not get changed.

  With regard to the consolidation of assistance. To see (and delete) the snapshot in the Manager of snapshots, remove the line snapshot0.clientFlags = "1" of the vmsd file while the virtual machine is not open in the tabs of VMware Workstation (no file lck in the folder).

  I guess that you have a current backup of the files, just in case something goes wrong (which really shouldn't).
