Snow Leopard drive hard usb on MBP El Capitan

Hello!

I'm just a new MBP with El Capitan retina, my old (white) MB died and I bought a new.

I removed the old drive to the MB and put it in a USB enclosure and I tried to boot into the new MBP using the ALT - key (as I usually do with other readers in my old MB), but it has not begun, it shows the disk selection and by choosing the Snow leopard usb drive, the logo apple and nothing can no longer.

How can I start the old system? I want to do some testing in configuration and apps before you use the migration tool to update in the new system of El Capitan.

Thanks in advance,

How can I start the old system?

You can not. A Mac running a version of Mac OS X older than that with which he delivered.

I've been using Lightroom 5.2 for about a year on a laptop Windows 7, general catalogue on a drive hard usb removable.  I now have a Surface Pro Windows 3 I want to edit photos on it too.  What should I do to get both devices using LR 5.2.  Note the tablet doesn't have a CD player.

  • Problem with Stor.E Canvio - TB 3 drive HARD USB 3.0 external

I bought a 3 TB Canvio HDWC130EW3J1 and used to save a load of files on the partition, with it came.
Everything is OK. Unplugged the HDD than Win 7 and plugged into another Win 7 and - no partition.

Win 7 identified as brute of 3 TB.
I've messed up with her for a bit, abandoned and finally it was exchanged for a new, I assumed it was a defective controller or something.

The replacement is exactly the same. As soon as the reader is disconnected and reconnected, everything disappeared. I tried this partitioning with a 3 TB GPT partition and a 2 TB MBR, it contains the same.

I bought a £ 75 door stop. I dare not put anything on the drive, it is useless.
Behaves the same USB2 and USB3.
I had a quick glance at various forums and see people complaining about similar problems, but no resolution.

    Anyone have any idea?

It is a HARD USB 3.0 drive that is also compatible with the USB 2.0 standard.
I m wondering if the HARD drive could be recognized properly using a Y USB 3.0 cable that allows to connect the HARD drive to two USB ports.

In addition HARD drive supports the format NTFS file standard and in my opinion it of not necessary to change the format of files.

Moreover HARD drive supports password encryption and helps secure the data from unauthorized access.
In case you use this HDD in relation to other laptops, respect this password encryption.

  • Dell 5100cn Snow Leopard driver

I just installed Snow Leopard yesterday. Under Leopard, I had been using the driver available from Dell, but that this driver is now to launch a mistake under Snow Leopard. Is that a chance Dell will update this driver?

If not, is there any way to get the source for the driver? I can fix it myself if necessary.

Have you tried to install Rosetta of bits in option on the Snow Leopard installation DVD? The filter uses the driver is a PowerPC executable... I have installed SL yet, so I can't check if it works, but I've heard of someone else with a Dell (not a 5100cn) printer that has solved the errors by installing Rosetta.

  • Drive hard USB is write protected and will not run backup

After the upgrade from Vista to 7 I formatted a drive hard Maxtor Plus and backup is complete with image.  A week more later in a attempt to a backup I received a message that the backup failed, disk is write protected.  I tried to take possession through the prompt command > takeown /f e: and received message disk is write protected.  Formatted drive in another computer with XP, then windows 7 machiene always write protected. Attempted to seize properties.  current owner is a numerical value of the letters about 35.  Will not let me take ownership as administrator again tells me disk is write protected.  Is it possible to remove the write protection this drive E:

Thank you for your response.  It was not a strategy of storage devices in my registry.  I tried to create it manually. I was able to get a folder, but the value is default.  Not believing that I could create the key correctly, that I resorted to restore my system before the first backup and I got access to the external drive at this time.  I will install a new backup and hope that I find not write-protected again.

  • Snow Leopard Driver HP Officejet G85

Should I just hope HP or Apple will provide drivers for this? My iMac sees the printer (for example see ink levels), but I can't print.

    Hey people,

Good news: after a week of trying, my Mac with Snow Leopard recognizes my HP G85 (print, scan, etc.).

Bad news: I don't know exactly what I did. I followed the advice of Thoxx, as well as one or two other things. It doesn't seem to work at first, but I think that the restart is not enough, and instead one must stop.

  • NB200 - Recovery Media Creator and drive HARD USB

I just bought a white NB200 and noticed that it does not come with a DVD of Windows 7 in case I ever need to install.
I was informed by the seller in the store I could save a copy on a USB key using a recovery disc writing.
I assume that "Recovery Media Creator" is the best way to do it.

I booted up and it said that it will be 6.7 GB. I don't have a USB this size, but have a portable hard drive (250 gb) with 120 GB to spare.
Even though I can view the drive in Windows Explorer / workstation, the program of recovery media says ' Please insert a USB drive with greater than 6.7 GB memory ', whenever I click on the create"" button.

    If anyone can help?

    Hello

I doubt that you can use the USB HDD to create a recovery disk image.
The Toshiba recovery disc creator has been designed in order to create a bootable recovery disk!
It has not been designed for sure the image of Toshiba on the HARD drive!

So if you want to use the Toshiba recovery disc creator then you must buy a USB CD/DVD drive that can burn the recovery image on a DVD

  • back to snow leopard

I have upgraded to El Capitan of Snow Leopard and totally don't like El Capitan. It is so slow that I could continue to take a cup of coffee somewhere until an application finally appears on my screen. It is not properly synchronized with iCloud and now I can't even download the upgrades (iPhoto, iMovie) because a popup appears saying: "this update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by another user or the item has been refunded or cancelled".  I want to get back to Snow Leopard, because IT WORKED for MY TASTE.

    Is this possible?

a restore of backup time machine 10.6 is possible if you have a.

otherwise you will need the original media 10.6 If your computer came with it to restore it on a new hard drive or a sanding wiped one, there is no lower upgrade path.

Back up your data before you continue.

If none of them are at your disposal, we can try to determine what could be causing these issues.
