Above Microsoft link has 3 methods ot try to fix your error Code >

Method 1: Run (Checksur.exe) system update readiness tool

    1. Download and run the system update readiness tool. This tool runs an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations.

For more information about how to download and run the Checksur.exe tool, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

947821 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821/) Description of the update readiness tool for Windows Vista system
    2. Try to install updates again.

Note After running the tool, the Checksur.log file is stored in the following location:

    %SystemRoot%\Logs\CBS

In a default installation of Windows Vista, SystemRoot is the Windows directory.

If this method does not resolve the problem, go to method 2.

    Hello

Remember to make changes to your computer?

Try the methods below to resolve this issue.

    Method 1:

Change the settings for Windows Update and turn on Windows update. You can refer the article that talks about Windows update activation:
    Method 2:

I suggest that you put your computer in a clean boot State, and then install updates. The issue could be related to a third party software conflict causing the issue (error codes) to occur. Clean boot helps eliminate conflicts of third party software.

Note: Follow step 7 to your computer as usual.

    See if that sorts it

First of all, check that you have installed Microsoft Net Framework

Click Start and type in the search box

    uninstall a program

Check the list for what it

If using 32 bit and you have Net 4.6.1 uninstall

Then download 4.5.2 Net and install it unless you have already

If you have a lower version 4.5.2 install

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=42642

    If the error occurs again,

Switch your windows update setting to never check the updates temporarily

    Restart the machine
Then you download this from your download folder run from there.
    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/library/security/MS16-039?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

    Download the x 86 for 32-bit or x 64 for 64-bit

Install it and restart when prompted too after he did a search of stand-alone for updates that should not
take too long, it took all of 5 seconds, '' If '' windows update settings are turned on forever check
updates before running from the downloads folder.

    Once it installs and restarts
You can reset your updates affecting everything you had before default =...
    Then check the updates manually.

  • Windows Update 8007001F error code - cannot install new updates

I am told that I must update Windows Update until I can move forward, and then when he tries to analyze, I get an error message with the code 8007001F "Windows Update has encountered an unknown error". When I click on the link, there is no help is provided. Anyone got this, and how to fix this? Should I reinstall WIndows?

(A device attached to the system does not work)

Go to Device Manager and see what device is the only one with a yellow or red bang at his side.

Once you have identified it, install the drivers via CD or download from the web site of the manufacturer.

If you fail, just remove the device.

  • Windows updates - current - error code 80242014

    Hi all

I did a search on this error code and saw some fairly technical information that really don't get me anywhere.

Lately when I run the update, and it comes time to reboot, I get a blue screen (it started to happen after I got a new internal HD replaced under guarantee due alleged defective unit before).

This is the first time I noticed that a lot of my updates are 'pending' and I get the error code 80242014.

I have Vista and I use ESET NOD32 Antivirus and security software and Windows and defender.

    Any advice?

  • Windows Update 80240439 error code

When I run Windows Update I get the message "Windows could not search for new updates," error Code 80240439. I ran "Detect-update problems" and he told me he found a problem and fixed it drank the problem persists.

    Hello

    Please answer:

Did you recent hardware or software changes to your computer before the show?

Please follow the methods and check them off below if that solves the problem:

Method 1: Run the clean boot.

You need perform a clean boot to prevent any third party conflicting application from interfering with your computer and try to install the updates.

To put the computer in a clean boot state, you must follow the steps in the article mentioned below and check with the question.

How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: You must follow step 3 of the article mentioned above to recover your computer to a Normal startup after you complete all the steps.

Method 2: Temporarily disable third-party security program.

If you have a third party security program, then I suggest you to contact the technical support of the safety program and temporarily disable the software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 3: problems with the installation of the updates:

Follow the steps in the link below:
