  • Problems of emails, download Windows Live Mail 0x800CCC0F error code.

Out of the blue I started having problems with downloading emails over and over again. At the end of each download I get the following error message...

Unable to send or receive messages for the steven - BT Yahoo! Mail account. Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

    Server: 'mail.btinternet.com '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 110
    Secure (SSL): No.

I use Windows Live mail to access an account of talktalk and a BT Yahoo. On behalf of Talktalk is not affected, it is BT's Yahoo account which is corrupt.
I had this configuration for several years with no problems.
    Thank you.

I don't think that the download is finished.

    1. Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program.
    2. Uncheck the option to check for messages every X minutes.

See if the download is finished now. If this is the case, leave analysis off e-mails, but check again the other option. If you still have questions, ask the experts here. More in this forum which I belong do not use Windows Live Mail.

  • Windows Live Mail could not be started. 0 x 80041161. question of server 2008 in Vista (similar OS) forum

Can't solve this one.  8 user accounts on Server 2008 std 64 bit TS, using the Protocol of the DRC. Load Windows Live, composing Mail only for all users. Properly configured the e-mail accounts for all users except one.  On this account while trying to open the Live Mail, we get:

"Windows Live Mail could not be started.  It cannot be installed correctly. Make sure that your disk is not full or that you're not out of memory. 0 x 80041161."

All accounts connect via thin clients with user, no HD local licenses. How it is possible for a single user? How to remove all traces of this user's e-mail account and try again? 7 other user accounts were active mail.  A possible cause would be my use of a registry cleaner (perhaps not a good idea because it was not necessary for a specific reason).  Otherwise, nothing unusual, all other services Terminal Server and programs work.  Impossible to find a link to how to erase our all that is giving only this user account for Live Mail error message.  Tried to take Windows Live and not reinstalled, pass.  All users have standard access, raise that this user admin didn't change error.  Appreciate the ideas.

  • Windows Live Mail gives me a msg of error 0x800ccc90. How to fix

All was well until about June 30, 2013.  Since then, I can't receive or send e-mail.  I use Windows Live Mail.  Get code error 0x800ccc90.  What should do?

When you last compact? Click on the left icon in the menu bar, then select Options, Mail, advanced and maintenance. Scheck front box compact the database each? runs. I set mine to 1, but maybe it's too much for you.

You can also check the box before empty messages from the deleted items folder when leaving.

You must delete the spam on a regular basis. If your Inbox and sent items folder get too full to create local folders and move mail it. Right-click on the account (Articles not Inbox or sent) and select new folder and name it. To move the message just right click on the message and select move to folder and select the folder you want the message to go to, and then click OK. If you hold down the CTRL key, you can select a number of messages to move or delete.

  • Windows Live Mail freezes / crashes if I try to use the sections of then only connected to Windows Live Mail CONTACTS

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64. I use applications of windows live with the exception of 'family safety' (which is not currently installed).
All applications work well except for Live Mail which freezes when I'm connected and click contacts.
No problem sending, receipt or writing emails. No problem adding contacts to an email (even if I am connected to Live).
Simply, it freezes when I'm connected and click on the option of the application contacts. Or if I am in touch and then sign in to Windows Live.

I did a repair of all windows Live products. I also followed another troubleshooting tutorial and changed the name of the folder 'contacts' to allow Live Mail re - sync contacts when I signed up again. None of these worked.

I would prefer not to have to re - install the app altogether if it can be avoided.

    Any help is very appreciated!

  • Windows Live Mail and RT of Windows 8 Tablet

This question is for Microsoft themselves.  POP3 email support calls is quite large and POP3 is entrenched in the system a little more than you guys think.  You say you had RT Outlook during development, but drains the battery, but how can he do?  The ordinary Outlook on a laptop do not drain the battery!

However, if so, why not take Windows Live Mail and make a version of the app of it?  It is a lightweight e-mail program that even works a lot like Outlook and it should not take a lot of resources to operate.

Outlook.com is an option that "works" but not very well regard as the way in which people use email.  I used it myself but she dumped.  I don't like how works the management of contacts.  Other people have other reasons.

Thus, Windows Live Mail is a plausible solution for those who use the POP3 e-mail.  It works very well, handles multiple accounts like some people want, and is a lightweight program that does not use that much space or resources.

How about that as a solution if Outlook RT is a flat tire?

POP must die.  We are inundated with hundreds of thousands of complaints from users on POPS to complain that the email arrives on one device and never to others (such as a phone, tablet or another PC), because POP deleted from the server.  And even if you resolve that it does not sync.  So, they complain that they delete an email from one place, and it always shows on all their other computers and phones, and tablets so that they have to delete the email even 5 times.  Then they complain that they have moved a message to a folder, but still once he settled only on this one machine.

Nope, just POP will not cut in a world where people want their stuff to really work together.  A system that allows the synchronization is necessary, and that means IMAP or EAS or another protocol to synchronize both ways, between all the systems they use.

    - - -

As for Live Mail, it's like outlook.  It maintains a constant connection.  That's fine if you want that your tablet to have the life of your laptop battery (2 or 3 hours, top?) but people want their tablets to last much longer than that.  So don't expect any Outlook or Office Live Mail here either.

(I don't know of anything other than my own observations and opinions, but I try to be realistic... I sincerely doubt he's never going to happen).

  • All my data from Windows Live Mail swiped. Its the most important storage files.

The contacts folder has remained intact, but a strange entry in the calendar (battle of the Boyne) suggests a pirate or a virus.

The current data from Hotmail has been restored by simply reconnected to Hotmail.

Have restored a backup of e-mail archive using Paragon Backup and Recovery app but have no idea where its restored to or how to move if I can find it.  A system restore point has also been successfully but without restoring data from Live Mail.

What should do?  Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you.   Nick

  • PDF file association not found in Live mail

If a message received in Live Mail on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit computer contains a PDF attachment, this attachment cannot be opened for Live Mail. The Word attachments and others can be opened.

When you attempt to open the part attached PDF, informed message that "this file doesn't have a program associated with it for performing this action...". "If the file is saved on the local computer, it can be opened normally, as the file association is correct. This is confirmed by typing assoc .pdf in a command window and reception of the answer ".» PDF = AcroExch.Document ".

How to open PDF documents from Live Mail is possible without saving them first.

    Thank you

    Ron Carruthers

I had this same problem, the idea of Bruce Hagen I tried and it didn't work. So I tried to know how to reset a file association using Google and someone, in response to a question, pointed at the Windows registry altogether different, more precisely the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT section.

So I took the .pdf subkey in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, make a backup (export) and simply deleted. I then associate a random file of PDF of Adobe Reader again and guess what:
Now it works again in Windows Live Mail! Yoohoo!
Looking at the key later, I also saw that the content had changed, for example he says now a Content Type and in the "standard", there is "AcroExch.Document", like some came with 'assoc .pdf' in the command window.
This makes me guess that Windows 7 is perhaps a bit 'sloppy' when reassociating one type of file, because this happened to me after that I removed an older version of Adobe Reader (Adobe Acrobat Reader 6) and installed the latest version.
I really hope that this will solve the problems, others here! It really saves me a lot of frustration here! ;)
