How to make a scheduled task to close after 5 minutes?
I have a program that should run for a minute or two, but sometimes crashes. I created a scheduled task to run every hour, 10-minute course. Everyonce in a while, however, he crashes and prevents it from running again the next time. How can I stop the program after 5 minutes?
Hello
- Are what program you referring?
- What scheduled task you are trying to run for each hour, 10-minute courses?
You will get an adjustment to close the task if it runs for more than an hour.
I suggest you try these methods and check the status of the issue.
Method 1:
I would say allows you to delete a scheduled task, restart the computer and re-scheduled task and check the status of the issue.
Schedule a task.

Method 2:
Keep the computer in a clean boot and check the status of the issue.

How to get a scheduled task to run when disconnected, but do not run hidden
Under XP, I had an installation where I created a scheduled task to open a playlist of music at 07:00 every day which was basically I woke up. In the evening, I would put my computer to sleep and in the morning, the scheduled task would automatically wake the computer, log in my user account and open the playlist with my music program. In Windows 7, it's is not possible because:
1. If I put the "execute task if the user is connected or not," the music program opened by the task is hidden, and I can't control or turn off the music player, because it is hidden.
2. If I put the task 'Run only when the user is connected', the music player is is more hidden when it is launched, but it does not work in my situation because my computer is configured to automatically disconnect when it goes into sleep mode, and which is usually the case when I want the scheduled task to run.
It worked perfectly well under XP but under Windows 7 it is broken, because, for some reason if a scheduled task is set on "Run If the user is logged in or not ', the window opened by the scheduled task is always hidden. This was not the case in XP. Why is this the case in Windows 7, and is there a way to make it work like it did in XP?
It's a real shame, because it worked perfectly under XP without the need of any additional software overhead.
It is the same for Vista. The cause is SECURITY!

How to run a scheduled task in specific (current) edition
11.2.0.3
I use redefinition of the basis for the development of a database. So far, the experiences have been good with it.
We have three editions: ORA$ BASE = > BETA = > ALPHA
BETA is the default edition. Development of new packages for this in ALPHA and then copied to the BETA and ORA$ BASE.
We now want to carry out certain activities of pl/sql running for a long time as a background task.
However. When we create a job regular db in ALPHA, it will run in the DEFAULT edition (BETA).
I want to run a scheduled task in the same edition, where it was created from.
It is a way to run configure a job normal regular db to execute in a specific edition?
Example/demo
-- test case run dbms_job as background execute dbms_application_info.set_module('UT10_START_SESSION',null); execute dbms_application_info.set_client_info(sys_context('userenv','current_edition_name'));

Read the above info.
3 use this program:
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configureAutoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services even more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility bundled with Windows Me and XP.
4. go into each program > tools > Options > see if you can disable the startup when Windows starts.
See you soon.

How to completely stop the cursor hover in El Capitan?
How to stop the slider hover in El Capitan? Like the flat monetarily what cursor whether he brings what she was hovering above if you who like it or not. I prefer to click if I want something brought upward.
The action you describe, where if you hover over a link, as here at Apple support communities for example, a pop up will show you where the link takes you, as the profile of someone, is from this Web site. If you are on Twitter, and you hover over someone @ name, it will show you a small pop-up of their biography. If such an action could be off, there would be on this particular website. I checked the system preferences, then Safari Preferences and have no radio buttons or boxes you can check to stop this.

Completed the scheduled task has not dropped
This has been already posted in the forum Planner, but I guess that more people of this forum watch. Sorry for the double post.
I create two jobs where the 2nd is waiting for the first to finish. The code example is from this thread:
It works (j1 and j2 performed in sequence), but the 2nd work (j2) is not deleted from user_scheduler_jobs after completion. The State remains STEADY.begin dbms_scheduler.create_job ( job_name => 'j1',job_type => 'plsql_block', job_action => 'insert into test_event values(systimestamp, ''first job runs'');commit;', enabled => false, auto_drop => true); dbms_scheduler.set_attribute('j1', 'raise_events', DBMS_SCHEDULER.JOB_SUCCEEDED); end; begin dbms_scheduler.create_job('j2', job_type=>'plsql_block', job_action=>'insert into test_event values(systimestamp, ''second job runs'');commit;', event_condition => 'tab.user_data.object_name = ''J1''', queue_spec =>'sys.scheduler$_event_queue,job$_agent', enabled=>true, auto_drop => true); end; begin -- Enable the first job so that it starts running dbms_scheduler.enable('j1'); end;
It is a problem because I want to execute the code several times. This translates into:
ORA-27477: "J2" already exists
ORA-06512: at "SYS." DBMS_ISCHED", line 99
ORA-06512: at "SYS." DBMS_SCHEDULER", line 295
ORA-06512: at line 2
I can, of course, drop job j2 before creating this new, but I wonder why j2 is not automatically removed.
Version is Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0Hello
Still not sure exactly what is happening, but I think you can safely get around it by adding a max_runs attribute = 1 to J2.
for example
begin dbms_scheduler.create_job ( job_name => 'j1', job_type => 'plsql_block', job_action => 'insert into test_event values(systimestamp, ''first job runs'');commit;', enabled => false, auto_drop => true); dbms_scheduler.set_attribute('j1', 'raise_events', DBMS_SCHEDULER.JOB_SUCCEEDED); end; / begin dbms_scheduler.create_job( job_name=>'j2', job_type=>'plsql_block', job_action=>'insert into test_event values(systimestamp, ''second job runs'');commit;', event_condition => 'tab.user_data.object_name = ''J1''', queue_spec =>'sys.scheduler$_event_queue,my_agent', enabled=>true, auto_drop => true); dbms_scheduler.set_attribute('j2', 'max_runs', 1); "<-- added this line!!" end; / begin -- Enable the first job so that it starts running dbms_scheduler.enable('j1'); end; /
I hope this helps!

How can I remove a scheduled task?
I want to know how to remove a scheduled task, I did (instructions for making one here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaprograms/thread/6339f3d6-504d-4275-857a-4307a4cbe9ff), but all I can find on the subject does not work under vista, or just tell me how to end it--which is not sufficient, because it runs automatically when I connect. Could someone show me please how to do this.
I finally found the answer. Go to task sheduler > task scheduler library(left pane), and then you will see the list of tasks that you can edit and delete.

Scheduled task does not play if already open WMP, trying to avoid manual close
I'm in a work centre that will make announcements every day on a speaker system that is run by windows media player. I set up a scheduled task to all files that will play, but once the said file is played WMP does not close automatically. This does not seem like a problem, but if nobody closes on WMP, the next scheduled task will not - play which completely defeated the purpose to automate the process and our workers will have to still remember to close WMP 3 or 4 times a day, otherwise nobody gets the announcement.
I have tried implementing a command line with /play wmplayer start/close c:myfile.wav as an executable file and run it with the Task Scheduler instead of the wav file... it did not work. Namely, the /close function was abandoned with WMP.
Is it possible that I can continue to use WMP and completely automate this process without the manual close WMP after each scheduled task?

Nice day
I recently updated a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. Long story why, but it works better since.
There is one thing that past seems weird. CMD (I think that's it), or this black screen command prompt appears on the screen every now and then. I can't tell what is the boss, or that it triggers. But it is quite often.
What this has to do with being administrator or the administrator account on my own laptop. Nobody else uses it. This is my personal laptop. I log into my admin account when using the laptop and do not use the other account username or guest account. This is info I added here for your info.

And how can I stop the task?
I will also say that the screen flashes about 8 times in one hour.
Before you can stop the task, you must identify it. You can do the following:
- Launch the Task Scheduler with the taskschd.msccommand.
- Click the task Scheduler Library.
- Consider different trigger points.

manages scheduled tasks has stopped working and was closed
Lately I get this error message often when I start using my Vista PC (Vista Business SP2) in the morning: "manages scheduled tasks has stopped working and was closed".
And this morning the automatic update of Windows Defender definitions also could not install (so I would be dnld and installed). Set to automatic update referred to 'unknown error' (8 and 57, I think).
FYI, sfc/scannow reported no integrity violoations with system files. I also reconfigured my PC there is to make sure that it is clean, fresh and perfectly up-to-date before reinstalling all my apps, and it's been updated for about 2 months then.
How this application problem "manages scheduled tasks" can be fixed? If you don't know, where can I get an answer? Neither Google nor Bing seem to show any reference to the exact phrase "" manages scheduled tasks has stopped working stopped working '. "

Update 7/22: I'm starting to suspect a problem of interactions between turn off Vista and [printer] HP Digital Imaging Monitor. I tried to disable it via msconfig, a couple of days and have not seen the mistakes regularly ever since, but the jury is still pending for another week or two. I'll report after awhile.
It is too early to point a finger because we know that all of them have well worked normally in the past and they seem equally at risk of corruption. For example, I have no these errors when you use the same software HP on my Win7 PC and I don't have these errors for a few months after that the reconstruction of my Vista laptop, so I'm suspecting some piece of software has become corrupted (something in Vista), or something the tracking software program, some windows or component or registry setting software execution to one who relies on the HP printer.

Update 7/27 edit: Since disabling component HP Digital Imaging Monitor (hpqtra08.exe) drivers HP printer/scanner more than a week ago, I have not seen error messages 'has stopped working and was closed"breed, and Windows Update seems to operate normally.
