Some MP3 files are not recognized by Fuze
I have a 4 GB Fuze v1. I got this as a Christmas present and want to use it to listen to Audio and video podcasts. I updated the Firmware from V01.01.22A. My problem with him that some MP3 files will not be recognized. MP3 files are on the card of 2 GB external so I, MPT/MSC mode does not matter. For example, "NPR: CarTalk Podcast" in format mp3 will not play but "The Index Investing Show" podcast also in mp3 format will play very well. I first noticed it with downloaded mp3 files iTunes, I do not think it is an iTunes related issue because the same podcast downloaded directly from the NPR site will also fail. No idea what is the problem? Here is the link to the download of the podcast (use the button download MP3/4): http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_detail.php?siteId=9911203
I solved the problem first I used Any Audio Converter to convert MP3 to MP3 with the same audio features. The file is converted to the same sheet worked! I noticed converted file was not any ID3 tag information in the original file. After playing a bit with MP3Tag software and tags removal began, I found that the offending tag has been KIND on the value of 'Podcast '. Fuze does not recognize "Podcast" in the field of the kind so he simply ignored, rather than list it under "unknown". In my view, that it is a bug. Sansa must list the MP3 files under Tote 'Unknown' when 'Genre' tag is present, but the value does not match any of the existing tags.

L.R., I cannot import the photo of the new camera. Get the following message: "some files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom." Click below to view a version update of Lightroom. Done this and updated Lightroom 4.4. Still cannot import - get the same message.
Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw
The D610 requires LR version 5.3 or newer.
If you don't want to upgrade, you can download the current DNG Converter and convert the NEF files to DNG before importing the DNG files.

I recently bought a new camera from Sony a7 - ii. the first time I tried to import raw images taken with it (with a. Suffix ARW) the program says "Preview not available for this file" and then "files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom" I have the most updated version, I think as 5.7. What should I do to get these files imported as raw files?
Hi Bobsirkus,
The camera you have is compatible with the latest version of Lightroom, which is Lightroom 6/CC.
Please see the list of the camera supported by Lightroom: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices
You can use the DNG Converter, converts images and then import them into DNG in Lightroom.

I recently bought a Canon 5 d camera SR and when I imported the photos taken in RAW, Lightroom gave me the following message: "files are not recognized by the inLightroom of support for the RAW format (73)" what should I do?
Hello
Looks like you may not have the latest version of Lightroom as the Canon 5 d R raw files are supported in Lightroom 6.0 and above (not in previous versions)

I bought a nikon d610, when I tried to import raw files in the same way that I had always done with my old nikon d80 before I could not. I got a message saying that the files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom. I also tried with photoshop cc and I couldn't either. Any suggestions?
Camera Raw plugin | Supported devices
The D610 was first supported by Lightroom 5.3.
You will have to pay to
- Lightroom 6 upgrade, or
- Join the cloud, or
- Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all the D610 Raw files to DNG, and then edit the DNG in Lightroom 4.4

Fortunately, I have download my Canon 7 d CR2 files using Photoshop elements 11; but when I do the same thing with a Canon G7X files are not recognized. I downloaded the latest update of Adobe for RAW files. Advice gratefully received.
You need Adobe raw camera 8.7 version. Unfortunately your software is earlier than the camera. ACR 8.7 is only compatible with PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the free DNG Converter to convert your raw files to the universal Raw format files and Adobe will be open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the software of the camera factory)
Download Windows (.exe file) click here DNG Converter 8.7
Download Mac (.dmg file) click here DNG Converter 8.7
You can convert an entire folder of images raw with a single click. See this quick video tutorial:

I got CS3 installed and installed LR 5.5 and I tried to import my D800 NEF files and got the below error.
I then installed 5.6 and tried again and got the same error
I then uninstalled CS3 and LR and CS3, LR data directories and camera raw dir in the directory my profile app and reinstalled 5.6
I still get the error. I just bought LR because I realized, that it supported the D800 from a 4.x version.
Error:
The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom

You don't want to use Nikon Transfer! It corrupts files so that Lightroom can not read them. But here is a link to a utility that will repair the files. I have never used, only seen it recommended.
Difficulty of the corrupted Nikon NEF Images
In the future, I strongly suggest that you just use Lightroom to import your images. It works well. There is no need whatsoever to use Nikon Transfer. Is there any reason not to use.
No problem with Nikon Transfer, providing you up-to-date on a regular basis. It is part of NikonViewNX2 which is regularly updated to include new Nikon cameras. Update of Nikon will notify you of new updates. I use to transfer files nave of cameras D70, D100, D200, D300, D3, D700, D7000, D7100, D800 and D800E as I had them for years. I like it because it of fast, allows me to include copyright data and profile data he copies, and it will also rename it if you wish. They are then ready to be imported into LR.
My advice is NEVER use the import of LRs. IME process it has never worked well, even when the update.

Can't restore Vista backup - backup zip files are not recognized, on external hard drive
I backed up my files with Windows Backup, which divide into 200 MB zip files. Now I am unable to restore the backup because it is not recognized when I try to use the backup to restore. It's on an external hard drive and Windows for some reason any do not recognize. I tried to move it to the desktop, but it is not always recognized as a backup. I tried to use the advanced restore, windows recovery, and it won't work. Must the file with the zip files be in a specific location on the disk so that it can be recognized, or should it be named something specific? Please help me, I really need these files.

TIF files are not recognized by LR5
I have hundreds of .tif files I am trying to import into Lightroom so I can assess if I want to switch from Aperture. All the. TIF were created in Photoshop and may or may not have compression. Lightroom does not recognize them as image files until I go into the folder and put at the end of each photo .tif. Mac OS recognizes them, spotted recognizes them, Photoshop recognizes them. Why is that Lightroom have this problem and there at - it a solution that does not involve me all convert to DNG or add .tif at the end of all my files?
Update: OK, maybe this is the extension after all. Here's what's strange. If I take a TIFF image and remove its extension, see computer fine LR. But if I create a NEW document in Photoshop, save as TIFF (with or without compression), but do NOT add the extension, LR is not see it. Somehow, save with the extension then removing the Finder works very well, something must bet embedded in the document LR 'see' as being a TIFF file. But a blank file saved from Photoshop without extension does not work. Don't know if this is a bug or just something happens when Photoshop originally written the file on disk, such as the removal of the extension do not cause no problems with import. While Jim suggests, you should probably add the extension. If you don't have a bridge, use automate that sits on your Mac:
