Some of my pinned programs give the default icon

Some programs make their appearance as the icon by default, when I pin them to the taskbar, or right click on them. These programs are Skype and driver Booster. I just reinstalled windows 7 so it could be just a problem with Windows or the program.

I decided to modify icon properties to a booster of icon and the driver downloaded Skype.

  • Using large icons, I can't see a picture. The picture flashes for a second then appears the default icon (a lake and mountain)

    original title: Windows Explorer

Windows Explorer.  Using large icons, I can't see a picture.   The picture flashes for a second then appears the default icon (a lake and mountain). I can only view a photo in the photo library.  This just started happening.  What has gone wrong?

    Miniatures,

Open your my pictures location, click on organize in the upper left corner, click folder and search options, click the view tab and uncheck the top option, always display icons and never thumbnails, select apply and save.

Return to your location of my pictures, change the display of the page on the top of the right side next to the question mark symbol, there is another symbol with a menu drop-down symbol, click it and select the medium or large icons options specified.

  • Change the default icon for dissatisfied node

Is it possible to change the default icon for the node dissatisfied (dissatisfied indicator). I checked the content element of the user interface with the same name, but it doesn't have the setting file from the source in it, so I guess it's hard coded. I tried to change the source file with the name unsatisfied_status.gif to a different image and it works, but it will be a big change of system. I want to do this as a specific model change. Did anyone done this before? Thanks in advance.

  • How change the registry Vista so I can add my program in the default programs list?

    Hello

I need help to change the register of Vista so I can't add Sibelius 5 to the list of default programs.

I need to do this for some reason when I try to open the files .sib I need to open it with a program. So why I want 5 of Sibelius.

However, when I do this, I do the normal navigation and select 5 of Sibelius in program files but nothing happens.

I was in Control Panel and was in default programs and all that stuff in there, but still it's not helping.

    See you soon

    Hello

We could do this in the registry, but it shouldn't. You mention that you went into default programs, but you don't mention if you have tried successfully to associate the file .sib with Sibelius. That's what I would try first.

    (1) navigation to the "default programs":

In "Control Panel Home", select "Programs", then on "Default programs", choose "do a type of file always open in a specific program.

    Or b:

Search "Classic view" for the "default programs". Select "Set your default programs".

    2)

Scroll down the list until you see. SIB. Double-click on that. Select Browse and locate the Sibelius program.

(Note: * maybe that is your problem.) --> Make sure you browse to the EXECUTABLE file. If you access a shortcut, it will not and it may not work correctly when you try to open later.

    * And you're good to go. Once it is associated with, you should be able to double-click the .sib file and run the program. Hope this helps,

How can I add the program to the folder of Control Panel-Default Programs?

  • How to give the default value for an attribute in the OPA

    Hello

I need a default attribute boolean to true at the beginning of the session of the OPA. I need to use it to control the visibility on some pages.

Can someone please throw light on how to best implement this?

    Thank you.

You have a few options (as always with the OPA!)

If you use determinations of Web and that you have defined your own screens, then the easiest way is to define a default in the screen - you can either do a default static or dynamic based on an attribute is proved by a default rule.

If you want a value by default when you debug without using screens, so you're better off just writing a rule to set the default value. It's kinda interesting with a Boolean value as you do not need to tell the value of the attribute OPA - it is inherent in the name of the attribute. For example, if you had a conclusion "control is visible" (with no = "true" or whatever it is) it would be set to 'control is visible' to 'true '. Set it to false, you simply need to type "control is not visible" - which actually (thanks to OPA assuming a 'subsidiary conclusion') defines "control is visible" to "false".

You can then replace it in the debugger of via a screen issue (if you force the question).

I don't know how it would work with server of determinations if you had a default value proved by a rule, but has also provided a value in the data - maybe someone else can clarify if the rule takes precedence over the input data? My usual approach is to try locally in OPM and see (using something like SOAPUI to integrate with the determinations OPA server web service). If that's the best way to implement this course (or indeed if using a default value of visibility control screen is best practice) is difficult for me to say - I am a relative beginner!

    Hope that helps a little...

  • Installed the program gives the error "target system is not supported.

Hi, I had a program that works with windows 95,97,98, nt it is said. I can open ITC a folder but can't install it on my computer, I get an error msg 'target system os not supported' what should I do.

    Hello bkfarmer,

You can try the Mode of compatibility as below:
If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP or other system that the program has been run successfully operating.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If compatibility is not successful, then try and run the program compatibility problems:

    1. open the troubleshooting program compatibility Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button.

Then click on Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under programs, click on run programs for previous versions of Windows.

    2. follow the instructions in the troubleshooting.

If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

  • How can I keep IE8 to change my Web page shortcut icons to the default icon of IE?

IE8 passes all my Web page icons to the default IE icon

It looks all right, but I can have a solution by searching through some of the other threads. I reudced the size of my icons on my desktop only slightly and so far, they remained the icon that has been given by the Web page instead of that boring small blue 'e '. Time will tell! Thank you for your interest in my little problem.

  • Win 8 (Pro) - Questions on program files, the desktop icon and taskbar

    Hello

I just upgraded successfully Win 7 (home) to Win 8 (Pro).

I have a few questions in mind:

Q1: A program icon can be PIN to the taskbar and desktop at the same time?

Q2: Under Win 7, user can easily see all installed programs by clicking on all programs in the Start Menu and select no matter what and copy and paste it on the desktop or PIN to the taskbar task, but under Win 8, I could not find this feature. CAB user to access the program to install all at the same time? Or the user needs to type the name of the program to the search box one by one? How to pin it in the Start Menu Win 8 on the desktop instead?

Appreciate someone could help me in this area.

    Thank you

First question: Yes, of course.  You can place an icon where you want. Desktop, taskbar, start screen, at the same time.

    Second Question:

The start of Windows 8 has a screen view "all programs" similar to the former in Windows 7 (except the new is full screen).  To get her on Windows 8, right click on an empty spot.  If you have Windows 8.1 update, which makes it easier to find by putting an arrow at the bottom of the main screen.

To take an icon from the start menu or the list of applications and put them on your desktop, right click, choose "Open file location" and then copy / paste the icon on the desktop.

  • When you use Windows Explorer to view the files and folders, the thumbnails of image files appear briefly then are replaced with the default icon of the image file. I tried the answers to similar problems, but none worked.

Browse the folders with image files, I cannot see the thumbnail icons for images correctly.  I know, it should be possible, but I can't do it.

When I first open a folder in Explorer, I see the correct images for a fraction of a second, then all images are replaced by the thumbnail of the image file (which looks like part of a digital SLR).
I put all folders to display picture to display the preview and the filter, and the "always show icons never thumbnails" is not checked.  Display file icon "on the photos' is unchecked (I tried checking, too, without change).  I also deleted the thumbnails using disk cleanup as suggested on another question, but which did not allow them.
The result is that, if I want to open an image for editing or downloading, I have to use a third-party application (for example, Pentax Photo Browser) to preview images, and then return to the Explorer window to select the correct file by name. Don't try to difficulty of these things that are not broken.

    izzlecrate,
You might want to try it and I just did this procedure myself a moment ago and surprising, it worked!  First of all I must tell you that I have Windows Vista, but the information I got was for Windows 7 and it worked.

First: You must create a NEW FOLDER and put it on your desktop.
Second: Move or copy the contents of the original file in the NEW FOLDER on the desktop. I copied the content, just in case something went wrong.
Third: After that is finished and all the contents are inside you.
Fourth: On the desktop right click on the folder and click Properties at the bottom of the box.
Fifth: Click Customize tab at the top and then the Middle click on DEFAULT settings for the folder.  Click on apply to, click OK and your done

NOW! You can move the folder wherever you want by drag-and - drop the folder and when it's done and that's the best part, you should see the thumbnails of the folder on the EDGE of the folder that you just created.  It worked for me and I hope it works for you.
I have 10 years of experience with my computer and have troubleshooted my friends for viruses and other computer problems successfully.  I'm advanced computer user.

That this is done, it restores the folder its original settings.  Good luck! Rick
