some songs are stuttering on my iPod

a few songs on my played classic when stuttering, this just started. I thought it was a problem of connection but then noticed that is not all music.

If it's only a few songs and always the same songs, you should probably do a restore of the iPod using iTunes.  This erases the iPod, reinstall its software and sets it to the default settings.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod settings - Apple Support

It is erasing and then re - synchronize your songs after this restoration, which should get rid of the corruption of data or fragmentation of extreme data on the hard disk of the iPod.

    Try two things...

    (1) the songs greyed out can be unchecked. Uncheck the songs are normally excluded from track to track synchronization and normal. With the help of the songs or the list view Ctrl + click on an empty box to check all the boxes in the list of active reading.

    (2) try to go to file > library > Update music library to iCloud and do the update.

  • Some songs are not uploaded to the iPhone, even if they are in my ipad

    Hello!

Some songs downloaded on my iPhone are grayed out and cannot be read, even if they are perfectly fine in my iPad.

Do you have an explanation for that?

    Thank you!

He suggested that the files have not been correctly transferred to the device.

The following steps should resolve things assuming that all of the content you want in your library.

(If it is not see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device).

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restoration as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

NB. A feature introduced with iOS 9 called thinning or slicing app app allows each device to download just the code and resources required by this device, resulting in smaller downloads and a better use of the storage on the device. Therefore the device is no longer the universal version of the application that can be installed on any device to transfer applications is no longer supported. You can however download past purchases to iTunes and/or to activate Automatic app downloads buy to make sure iTunes has always the apps you want on your device. Another change to the way the restorations are implemented means that all private data app is restored and apps that are not in the library are waiting for download on the iTunes Store on Wi - Fi, in a similar way to the restoration of the iCloud way works. Not having apps in your library is not the disadvantage that it once was, but you're still at risk of losing a favored app if it is removed from the Bank and you don't have a local copy.

  • Why some songs are not grayed out on the tab for you on my iPhone 6?

Today, I opened the Apple music application. On the tab for YOU, I did a search for Anthology: through the year, by Tom Petty. Eight of the 34 songs are gray and will not play. How can I fix it?

Background - you can not. This happens with a lot of albums. Sometimes it's because the artist is their label doesn't want certain songs/albums (Yes, even part of the albums) transmitted continuously. Sometimes, it's because these titles are on other albums that are not allowed to be steamed (although this usually happens with compilation albums).

I just did a quick check and Yes, 8 songs are grayed out. But these same songs are also grayed out on his greatest hits albums. So I guess they are albums that either, he does not want to be listened to or perhaps a different wording.

  • Unable to sync some songs of 80 GB, iPod Classic

I used iTunes on a Windows 7 PC with various classic iPod for several years successfully and is currently using a 5th generation 80 GB Classic in my car and a late model 160 GB classic home.  Both are on the latest version of the software; 1.3 & 2.0.5 respectively.  My iTunes library is currently around 12 500 songs / 73 GB, or all the music podcasts, no videos, no movies, no contacts/calendars/other data.

Until recently, I synced everything for the 160 GB and restricted the 80 GB to selected playlists that left about 10 GB of free space.  It worked fine for two iPods for repeated synchronizations and synchronization of 160 GB is still without a problem, but now the 80 GB starts to sync, then freezes the sync and iTunes on some songs.

I did restore repeated the 80 GB in iTunes, reformatted the disk in Windows ("' scanned / no problems" ") and then restored again, but still have the same problem.

I then used manually ' manage songs' to transfer a Playlist of songs slightly less than 4,000, during which the sync and iTunes froze on several individual songs.  After too many hassles and several hours working my way towards the end of the Playlist, I transferred successfully about 3 800 songs on the iPod, which interfaced as usual with my car radio, but 114 songs, which was unable to transfer from iTunes to the iPod and suspended the synchronization process.  Back to try to reload a whole of these 114 songs (mostly .mp3, more a few .mp4a & .mp4p) caused immediate blocking of iTunes.  All of these 114 tracks play without iTunes, sync without problem to the 160GB iPod, problems and play without problem on my home system.

Having played just another Format and restoring, I just deleted all the music that I transferred manually so even once having an 80 GB iPod empty which fails to synchronize as soon as he arrives at the premiere of the "defective" runs 114.

I thought I knew my way around iTunes and iPod, but after fishing trawl of multiple support forums have been unable to work my way through this problem.

What happens if you start with an empty iPod and load it manually just ONE of these songs of 114 problem?

  • Some songs as matched on my Mac do not appear on my iPhone

As the title says, checking the status of iCloud for my library of music on iTunes on my Macbook, some songs (actually a whole album) are shown as "appropriate", but doesn't appear at all on my iPhone.  Please note that others such as "matched" appear and are available to play on the phone. I missed something obvious?

    Thank you

    Hi littleeden,

I understand that you do not see some of the iTunes Music on your iPhone.  The resources below provides some troubleshooting steps if some of your songs are missing.

    Get help with iTunes game

If you do not see your library of iTunes on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch game

If your iTunes library Match is missing, restart your iOS device.

If you can still see after reboot:

    1. Turn off iCloud music library and then turn on again.
      1. Go to settings > music.
      2. Turn off iCloud music library.
      3. Close the settings.
      4. Go to settings > music.
      5. Turn on iCloud music library.
    2. Sign out of iTunes , and then sign back in.

See if your songs are available for download

In iTunes, turn on the column to download iCloud to see the icons of music library iCloud. An 'Available for download' icon appears next to songs that are available in the music library of iCloud, but have not been saved on your computer and therefore will not be matched.

If some of your songs are missing or the names of the song are grayed out

If the songs you have purchased are missing or the song names appear in gray, they could use the digital rights (DRM) management. You must allow your computer before you can play these songs.

Once you allow it, choose file > library > update iCloud music library on the bar menu at the top of your computer screen.

    Take care

  • Some songs sync on my Apple Watch

When I tried to sync a playlist to my watch some songs do not synchronize. The app said they all did and all the songs are downloaded on my phone. Help, please.

    Hi there Addi.malady,

Looks like not all music is the synchronization of your watch, but the Watch app reports that all have synchronized without problems. I would start by removing the playlists of your watch:

Delete a playlist of Apple Watch

    1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap the tab of My Watch.
    2. Tap music > sync music > No.
    3. To remove the playlist, set your Apple Watch on its charger and make sure that he is in charge.

From: listen to music on your Apple Watch

Then exit the application shows on your phone, restart both devices and try this all that again. If the problem persists then I would désapparier watch from the phone:

Cancel the match your iPhone and Apple Watch

Then restart your phone and pair it again:

    Set up your Apple Watch

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • All my songs are gone [iPhone 5 s - iOS 9.3.1]

    Hello

I use an iPhone running iOS 9.3.1 5s. Everything worked without problem until tonight where I decided to listen to music. To my shock and disappointment, I discovered that all the songs in my iPhone (~2.5 concerts), except those that I bought on the iTunes Store, last day, disappeared! I tried to reboot the device just to see if the songs reappearing, but it did not help.

I also checked under the storage & use iCloud and noticed that the available storage has increased sharply, which probably means that the songs are gone for good.

The last time that I have synced my phone with iTunes on my PC was about a month ago, so I guess that it has nothing to do with this issue.

I hope some of you can help me here.

    Thank you

Try to connect your phone to your PC again. Go to iTunes and see your available storage space. If you see that your storage is still less full, then go to your purchased items (always plugged into your PC) If you see that your songs have always disappeared then go to iTunes (on your phone) and if you purchased iTunes songs to remember and you can re-download these songs on your phone again.

    I hope this helps!

  • Songs are not playable on the Iphone after itunes syncing

    Hello

I have a big problem, I synced my iPhone 6 with iTunes on my PC Windows 8.1 (both have the most recent version of the software installed), but now, nearly half of my songs are included on the Iphone but gray and cannot be played with itunes there is no problem playing them.

Not all the songs are bought on itunes, that some are other portals of the time download before I used iTunes and some are CD. Until I synced the majority of my songs worked perfectly fine now with about 50 songs playlist can play around half of the songs is not available... If I click on it I get two different messages:

seriously what is that, I do not use Apple, iCloud or game music and that you don't want to listen, I want to just my music files on my computer to be synced my Iphone so I can listen to.

These are my settings on the iPhone:

What I did yesterday was to remove all music from my iPhone via iPhone options, after I made a link to my PC and sync the iphone without music, then I restarted the iPhone by holding down the home button and lock until she has been reset, after it restarts I have once again it connected to PC and sync all my music (so I thought) back to the iPhone , but after this process even more music was missing, before I had only a few songs don't sync, but now half of the songs is not playable.

Can someone tell me what is the reason for this and how do I solve it, I want to listen to my music and I don't understand why it does not work, where some dreams perfectly worked well yesterday.

The following steps should resolve things:

    1. Backup of your device.
    2. Restoration as a new device/factory.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

  • Smart playlists are not updated on Ipod classic

I have the latest Ipod classic 160 gb (7th gen?) with a couple of smart playlists on it. These selections are not updated on the fly on the Ipod. I don't know if they're supposed to, but I guess that if. They are updating on iTunes but I shouldn't need to sync to update the smart playlists, otherwise, they are not so smart than that.

    Any help? Thank you.

Smart playlists act as regular playlists on the iPod.  They are only "smart" (automated) in your iTunes library on the computer.  When you sync the iPod, the changes you made on the iPod, like song of note or play counts, syncs to your iTunes library.  Update Live immediately updates your smart playlists properly, and they are synchronized to your iPod with all changes (during the same synchronization).

  • iTunes problem, some artists are sort separately

So I have been rebuilding my music library, (got a new computer and all my music is lost on the former) so I imported all my CDs. Some of the music is sorted funky. When I sort by albums, it's all good, but when I sort by artist some artists are all split!

For example, on the left side where it lists all the artists, I like 6 Micheal Jacksons! Some are same album but divided into two or three artists!

Now, I checked and double-checked and rechecked than all the info from the album is the same thing... that's a promise. The thing that continues to be I click on 'get info' then click on the "Sort" tab and I see that is where are some differences, but in space ' sort as "letters are gray and when I try to enter something different it activates automatically the return!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here.

It should also note that I have tuneup and I don't know if it's the cause of all my problems.

    Help, please

If iTunes displays multiple instances of an artist or an album then generally what works is to select all the associated tracks and use read the information to add say an end X for each of the areas of the slopes have in common:

    • For an album. Album, Album artist, and artist (if the artist is the same for all tracks) *
    • For an artist; Album artist (and the artist unless there are comments/featured artists listed which should not be changed)

Apply the change which merges things together, then remove the excess characters. Occasionally, it can help to close and reopen iTunes between two renaming operations.

    * If the titles must be synchronized to a non - iOS device, there should be a common artist or the album must be defined as a Compilation.

Use the view of songs and display fields, Album, genre, Album, Album artist, genre artist Album, artist and genre artist side by side to see you whether or not it is necessary to change the artist and if sorting values could be the cause of additional problems. See grouping in albums, titles for help if necessary.

  • reinstalled itunes on new pc and all the songs are duplicated

    r

I reinstalled iTunes on new pc and all the songs are duplicated. How can I delete everyone else?

iTunes can create duplicates if the same content is added several times from outside the media folder when it is about to make copies of everything that is added to the library, or is added from an external drive that hosts the press kit that was disconnected during the launch of iTunes.

Official notice of Apple on the duplicates is here: find and remove duplicates in your iTunes library. This is a manual process and article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as the lost coast and membership of playlist, or sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library as well as a removal and recycling the file will break all the others.

Use MAJ > display > show items to reproduce exactly to display the duplicates because it is normally a selection more useful. You must manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sort the list by Date added can make easier select appropriate tracks, but it works better when executed immediately after the dupes were created.  If you have several entries in iTunes connected to a same file on the disk hard then don't not send to trash.

Use my DeDuper script (Windows only) If you are not sure, do not want to do it by hand, or want to maintain ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this background thread , this post for detailed instructions and Please take note of the warning to back up your library before deduping.

(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to temporarily view or CTRL + B to keep displayed.)

The latest version of the script can put away the dead links as long as there is at least a double live to merge his stats and membership of the playlist and must deal wisely when the same file has been added through multiple paths.

  • Try to remove duplicates, "show exact duplicates" check all instances of some songs

I'm trying to remove the duplicates in my iTunes (in thousands) library. I view "replica", but for some songs, it checks all instances of the same song, so I can't delete checked without losing these songs in total. Is there a way to fix this, or what I have to go through the entire library of the song?

Using the latest version of iTunes on a windows PC.  I read the instructions for the removal of duplicates, but my situation is not covered.

    Thank you

If an entry in a list of audit checks another which makes me suspect that you watch a playlist in which the same elements have been added more than once, rather than the main list of music. The boxes are global in iTunes. One of the phases in my deduper script mentioned below clearly these duplicates of playlist, however, in its current form you need to run it on every playlist where you have this problem if only would you fix this type of problem. For the cleaning of the library to start with the source music in the view of songs and use exact replica. The current version requires counties to disk and the number of titles to match who I'm not sure was always necessary. If you don't see any duplicates that you would expect that maybe why.

  • Songs are displayed twice in the Clip +.

For some reason, the database has merged two copies of each song, so now I have 298 songs instead of 149. When I browse through the files, he jumps each copy, so it normally sails. But it's annoying to see two copies of a song. I have the original firmware Clip +. How can I get it to appear normally songs?

EDIT: I deleted all the songs manually on the Clip + from the PC. The songs are STILL somewhat on the clip. I don't know what the problem is. Please help me solve this problem.

Assuming that there is no user content on the drive you need, re - format the drive under the parameters of the system - which should clear everything away.  And then start again.

I wonder if the songs were synchronized to the player through some music management software.
