Sony dru720a yellow! In Manager bad drivers

I recently had to rebuild my Windows MCE system from scratch. I applied all updates and am now in SP3. I had two drives SONY DVD DRU720A and DRU840A, installed. XP will now display the yellow! in the Device Manager. I have tried to remove the devices and I have to reinstall XP, but I always get yellow! in the Device Manager. Readers have the good device list in Device Manager, but with the yellow!.

SONY's web site indicates that XP identifies the correct drivers for the devices. They also don't tell me what drivers must be used. If I knew what drivers need I could see if they existed in XP and use them.

The drivers that are used are

CDROM. SYS

GearAspiWDM.sys

IMAPI.sys

Pxhelp20.sys

Redbook.sys

Storprop.sys

I know that the DVD/CD drive works because I used to reinstall XP.

So I think that it is a XP problem. XP does not even recognize a CD/DVD when I close the drawer.

How can I solve this problem.

Hello

1. check the status of the device in Device Manager. Follow the steps for the same thing:

a. click on start

b. click Run, in the Run dialog box type devmgmt.msc

c. in the Device Manager window, locate the CD/DVD drive and expand the drive, double-click the sub element to check if an error message or error code is listed.

2 install the updated firmware for the drive and check if it helps. Link: http://sony.storagesupport.com/product/116#drivers

You can also run Sony DriveCheck Diagnostic tool: http://sony.storagesupport.com/product/210#drivers

Some Windows 7 drivers for new Dell systems may require an update of the KMDF to version 1.11.  The KMDF is a component of the operating system and the software update is available from Microsoft at the link below.  The usual treatment is to include the KMDF update in your base image until it is wrapped in a service pack.  Some of you may remember to see this problem with XP/Vista when Win7 came on the scene.

Symptoms that a KMDF update is necessary for a Windows 7 driver:

1 yellow bang in Device Manager for the components that you know you have a driver available

Welcome to the HP community! I see that you have a problem with your graphics card. By disabling your Intel HD 4000 you mean that you turn off completely or you use the Catalyst Control Center for everything set to High Performance?

Because you have switchable graphics, you need to install the drivers on the HP site because they have been configured to work with switchable graphics. AMD drivers have not been configured to work with switchable graphics.

Audio drivers appear to be there and working, the drivers are inheritance this is just? It looks like a conflict somewhere. I went from Vista after network problems now XP has sound problems.

    Ideas please

    Hi David

I ve checked your other assignments created here in the forum and it seems that you are an owner of Equium A100-027 PSAAQE series.
    Am I wrong?

First of all, I would like to clarify a few things.
Especially the yellow exclamation points appear in the Device Manager because anything could go wrong during the driver installation procedure or you have used everything simply a bad drivers.

I think you first need to know if you have used the correct drivers!
Please go to the page of the Toshiba driver and check again the driver versions and download again.
I noticed that many users download the bad drivers and try to install it.

On the Toshiba page, you will also find installation instructions. There are 2 txt files.
One for XP and one for Vista.

Please make sure you use the appropriate for the good OS installation instruction.
Download all the drivers, then follow the order of installation mentioned in the txt file!

Normally, everything should work ok and you should be able to install any drivers!

    Best regards

How do I use the sony vaio VPCEC3S0E built in motion eye camera I have attached looking for the correct drivers but could not locate them

    Hello

    Troubleshoot camera connection
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Troubleshoot-camera-connection-problems

You probably need to recharge the device drivers and camera control software (usually included
with the drivers and installed at the same time).

    Login as an administrator.

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Manually look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

Then let windows updates on however prevent loading of drivers who are often older than the
those that you have installed. If updates suggests a pilot and then HIDE it and watch manually to see if their
really is a more recent version (at the time system manufacturer and the sites of the manufacturer of the device).
