Sony MP3 player will not sync on PC
SONY MP3 PLAYER
MY MP3 SONY READER WILL NOT SYNC TO MY COMPUTER
Hello
Please do not type in capital letters as it is difficult to read and considered to be shouting.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's to an MP3 player and not all apply to an iPod (if an iPod please let us know.)
Set the MP3 MTP Mode for synchronization of WMP11/12 - mode MSC to treat the MP3 as a reader.

Hardware devices not detected or not working - Mr. Fixit
http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/hardware_device_problems
Make sure that Windows is updated appropriately that there have been several USB updates.
1 check that the driver letters for them, for a player, if the drive of the default drive letter is changed
in this case. Mine was h: I added a device that took H: and the player stopped. So I put
Back to H: and the other device to J: and everything worked again. If necessary start - type in the search box->
Disk management is top - right click it - RUN AS ADMIN
Don't forget to remember the MP3 must be set to the PSG to sync with WMP, and meteorological service of Canada to copy and
delete files and update the firmware.
If no joy follow these steps:
You may need a powered hub. (all the USB ports on your computer are not powered, often
only 2)
Try these:
Make a Restore Point
Control Panel - Device Manager - click in the empty area - VIEW - show hidden devices
Here, your devices are the MP3 player.
Now look everywhere EXCEPT the USB controllers for your devices (cannot be found) and if you find
It RIGHT CLICK and UNINSTALL all.
now go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers in the category, but the category itself.
APPLY/OK
RESET
This refresh battery USB and hopefully it will allow the unit to install. (You may need a powered hub)
Here is the similar procedure in XP, Windows 7 is the same, except that we need to clear the specific
devices if it is present.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575
This is a utility to help you, but do 1 above.
USBDeview is a small utility that lists all USB devices currently connected to your computer, as
Although all USB devices that you previously used. Run Options and check the 1st three choices to
see if one is there.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/usb_devices_view.html
You must remove all instances of the devices and restart.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If the above does not work (and it should be considered the preparatory work).
This works for any MP3 player when the USB stack is not corrupted:
1 player to delete and restart computer - switch to MTP mode on your MP3 player
Regardless of what brand of MP3 you have
1. check this Just In Case

2. does not present (web page as reference)
http://KB.SanDisk.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/192/related/1/kW/E200 * / page/2/r_id/101834
In XP: Start - RUN - CMD
In Vista/Windows 7: (Do this way!)
Start - type in the search box - find CMD top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN
Copy and paste this command into windows XP or Vista/Windows 7 CMD - press enter
NET local service localgroup administrators / add
3. then follow:

I hope that your MP3 now works.

my windows media player will not sync the audio for my mp3?
my windows media used to synchronize all audio of my mp3 player more I don't know what happens. the pc is reading being installed, but every time I try to sync the music my windows media player stops working.
Hello RedFeather01,
Ø you get an error when you try to run synchronize your device with the media player?
Ø have you tried to format your Portable device and then try to synchronize?
Ø you have the latest version of the software or the driver installed on your computer to the MP3 player?
Try to copy the files of music from Windows Explorer. Most MP3 players will appear as a "disk" on your computer, and you can browse the files on them by simply opening.
I suggest that you format your Portable device, and then try to sync with Media Player. To format the laptop drive:
1. right click on the Portable media player.
2. Select the option.
3. choose quick format and click ok.
Thank you

MP3 player will not play all of the music is installed
I have several CD music on WMP all work fine. I can sync all my music on my mp3 player with plenty of space to spare, but only 3 of the CD will play on my mp3 player. All the music that I know is mp3 format, so I don't understand why it won't play music, I know that all CDs are on the mp3 because WMP already says "on the device" when I try to synchronize again. Any help and advice would be very appreciated that I don't know how to get music on my mp3. Thank you.
Hello
Step 1: Check if the bit rate of the file is the same one taken in charge by the MP3 player.
Throughput is the amount of data used to create the audio stream. If they are different, in some cases, that he would not play.
Step 2: Try to copy files via windows Explorer, then check if it is read with the MP3 player.

Hello
Most of the CD players support AAC, WAV file formats. However, I can't guarantee that your CD player will support these file formats. Consult the User Guide for the CD or Web site so that it supports the file formats.
Or let us know the make a model of your CD player, I'll try to get the details for you.I hope this helps! -
Windows Media Player will not sync with my iPod
I have Windows Media Player 11 on my laptop, and when I try to sync my library with my iPod, windows does not show even my iPod is connected. I made my drive by default, but I don't know what else to do. Other programs such as iTunes and Bearshare see my camera very well, is there something else I need to download or what? I've tried everything I can think of, and I am at a loss. Can someone help me please?
Hi VicVicVictoria,
Windows Media Player are not compatible with the iPod. You may need to purchase a plug-in to sync the iPod to your windows media player.
Otherwise, you will get assistance from Apple to download and use iTunes from the IPod website.

Windows vista Media Player will not play mp3 or wma files
my windows vista Ultimate 64 player will not play any of my wma or mp3 files. said that I did not have the codex of right. but wma and wmv are windows. What's new?
Hi rpwerner,
Please use the forum for Support of Vista,
This is a codec package from Microsoft you want to download to see if it will be useful. Also, try to update your Windows Media Player and Windows Update to get the latest version of the codec required to play the type of media.
You can also use your favorite search engine to look for codec packs available on the web to help you read the content.
NOTE:
Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.
Hope this helps,

Unable to sync music using Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player will not open
Media Center will not sync music!
I recently opened Media Center and I had no music in the library. I have constantly played music from the library so I didn't know what is happening. When I try installing the library again once it tells me that a necessary component for Windows Media Center is not available. I have not changed or downloaded something different. I went to check if Windows media Player is the multimedia file sharing. The message I get from that is, basically, that something is missing. Now my Windows Media Player is not even opened. I wonder if my Zune Player (80 GB) has nothing to do with the problem. I charge my player when this has happened, but I do this all the time so I am at a loss. I went to the page "problem reports and Solution." It is the symbol of the Media Center window and says that the problem is caused by Windows. The solution is to update to windows; which I am fully updated. I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm at a loss to know what being of any help would be appreciated.
As a side note video playback, TV and photos also works very well in Media Center.
Thank you
Shay
Thank you, Shay
Hi Shay,
You can try the following steps and check the result:
Step 1: Run the sfc scan to repair system files missing and corrupt.
a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
b. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
For more information, visit this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
If the problem persists, try the reconstruction of the library:
Step 2: Library rebuild Windows media player.
This problem can also occur if the library is corrupted. Rebuild the library and check if this solves the problem.
Follow these steps:
1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
4. restart Windows Media Player.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
4. restart Windows Media Player.

I loaded windows 8 and have a dvd matshita bd - mlt uj23oas in a sony viao and it player will not work what I do
Hello
Check this location of registry for Upper and Lower filters...
They will appear on the right after clicking on the location of Reg...
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
Remove all entries found perhaps restore your disk, but can also cause something to stop working...
Maybe you can identify the program causing the problem with the name of the filter and update...
An example of this is iTunes... It uses a "GEAR" driver that can cause problems...
Install the most recent usually solves the problem...
