Sound recording

Hello

I recently got a HP Envy 23-060qd and it's a great machine.

Currently when I try to save all the I am recording is what comes of ther speakers.  I woud rather record what is happening off the coast of the sound card

What myust settings adjust for this?

Thank you

Hello

I thought about it, remembering a rather obtuse Windows feature.  For those who can have this challenge, here's how to defeat:

  • Open Control Panel
  • Click on hardware and sound
  • Click Manage Audio devices
  • Click the recording tab
  • Right mouse click on this dialog box
  • Check disabled reduced and disconnected devices
  • When mixer apears, rset as default device.

Now to get a better sound, go to Beats audio and click on save experience. then uncheck anything that is checked if the sound is coming through the mixer and distorted inadvertently table

Hope that helps

  • Sound recording on a L750D Satellite speakers

    Hello

I'm trying to set up my Satellite L750D (psk36a-038008) so I can record using the sound which is sent to the speakers and not only the input from the microphone. (everything that comes through the speakers could be recorded by any sound recording software, I use). I was able to do it on a previous (not Toshiba) laptop, but he won't do it.

In the recording of the microphone tab, I had the "Show disabled devices" option ticked/checked but nothing else shows in addition to the microphone conexant.

The laptop is less than 1 months old, is he already new drivers?
    Thank you

And what is the source of this noise?
You want to record music from internet radio or what?

As far as I know, Toshiba has a build-in microphone and it is designed to be used with applications of communications such as Skype, MSN or something similar. As far as I know when the microphone is ON the speakers are OFF.
It works on this way to avoid the effect microphonics.

To be honest is unclear to me that you can force the laptop to work on this track and record the sound from the speakers.

  • Audio microphone recording sound recording

I can't get my internal microphone to work properly.  During playback, my voice sounds like I am taking the floor in a kettle + it is barely audible and resonates as I am 1 million miles, speaking via a satellite connection.  I contacted the technical support of HP, was on the phone for about 3 hours during 2 days; I came home yesterday, the laptop (HP ENVY dv7 - 7333cl Notebook PC) at Costco, where I exchanged for an identical one that has the same problem.  On their recommendation, I downloaded a new audio driver, made updates, and last night I did a full system recovery, but, alas, no better... Help!

  • sound recorder, no not enough memory available to complete this operation. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again.

I tried to use sound recorder to test a microphone and it came with an error message after pressing the record and then he said, sound recorder, not stop not enough memory available to complete this operation. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again. This issue is out of nowhere because he has never had this problem before. It's a brand new computer that ive built from the bottom up, and I have 4 GB of memory. only a little more than 2 is actually identified by windows xp, however. Ive looked in the Task Manager and it says I have 2 GB of free, so I don't know what to do

    Hi superconfused123,

This problem occurs because of a design limitation in the tape recorder.

You can check the link below: you receive a "not enough memory to complete this operation" error message when you try to record a .wav file using sound recorder: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/284893

"Problem with sound recorder" suggests that there may be a problem with your input device.

Open Device Manager (right click on my computer > properties > hardware > Device Manager) and search for "imaging devices". Click on the + to expand the category.  There is a warning (yellow!)? Right-click and select Properties.  Is it the box at low say "use this device (enable)"? If not, do so and click OK.

While still in the Device Manager, click on the + next to "Sound, video controllers and game."  Locate the entry of your webcam microphone. There is a warning (yellow!)? Right-click and select Properties.  Is it the box at low say "use this device (enable)"? If not, do so and click OK.

Take a look at control panel > sounds and Audio devices

Click on the tab "Audio".  What is the default device for sound recording?  It should be your webcam; If this is not the case, adjust it using the drop-down list box.  Same thing for the "Voice" tab and the default device for voice recording.  Be sure to click on the "Apply" or the OK button.

Click Start , point to programs , point toAccessories , point to entertainment and then clicksound recorder .  That you get error messages when you open or you try to open the sound recorder? If so, please include the entire message, without paraphrase, in your response.

  • Sound recorder - record length

Length of default sound recorder is 60 seconds. How can I change? (Windows XP Home SP3)

Fortunately, Microsoft has removed the limit of 60 seconds in the version Windows 7 sound recorder. For XP, you save a file of 60 seconds, and then import them, which allows you to have 120 seconds. Then repeat this step to get a file any longer. • Quality of the recording in sound recorder?

First of all its amazing how disorganized the settings are in the sound properties in Windows.  You should check about 5 different places. His absurd and shows a total lack of design standards.  End of the rant from Microsoft... :))

I use Sound Recorder and you want to record audio messages I can send it as an attachment instead of typing a lot.  (Apparently Bill Gates does send messages so she probably works well.)  In any case under file properties one can apparently control the sound properties.  It is not clear what is best.  I guess that more the best bitrate and frequency the better. But there are several different formats (PCM, DSP, GSM, Microsoft ADPCM, IMA ADPCM, CCITT with several different settings for each.  Of course, Microsoft provides no info as to the quality or the benefits of each.  Fabulous.  I recorded a few seconds with the default value which I think is PCM 8000 khz, 8-bit, 7 kb per second and the clarity was very good.  But only a few seconds have 3.8 MB!  I then changed to DSP 8000 khz, 1 bit to 1 KB per second and saved a few seconds which took only 15 KB.  It was informative.  The clarity of the second was a bit muffled but easily readable.  I want to become is a little less smothered with a size of about 1 MB per minute 1.  This would be a good compromise.

I'm having a hard time to save a frame as it will appear the settings go back to default, straight after the initial recording or closing Sound Recorder - could someone confirm that?  If all goes well, there is a way to get them to stick.  Otherwise its another Microsoft product for the trash. The settings affect the General sound quality during playback of other programs such as a music player?  Otherwise, this little program is very useful.  They must have it built into Outlook to send audio messages back.

All useful Web sites would be most appreciated.  I don't even know what Google search with the words.  (You know you get big when your company name became a commonly used verb!)

To record a voice message you need not quality.  As long as they can hear you clearly his sufficient.  Seconds resulted in a 27 KB file.  Very clear and legible with background noise pale clearly audible. I use high end (from one) Sennheisser phones (HD650) in Audacity, I followed your advice and put things down.  Bit rate was only 16 years old.  I don't see any other place to take account of quality however. In sound recorder, there are about 30 different quality settings.  Is how important it?  Maybe not.  I have a clarity with a reduced file size. I want?  :)

on xp sound recorder won't record more then 1 minute, how can I increse duration of registration?

    You can not.

I recommend you use Audacity, a freeware sound editor who can do the job as long as you want. In addition, you can change the sound files after. Google for it. Also download the Lame encoder if you want to work with mp3 files.
