SP6100 & Power saver

Hello

Can someone tell me how a user account can change its settings power saver.

Best regards

Serge

(account of user = not a user to an administrator)

Hello

as much as I know there is no possibility to change the settings to save energy with a restricted user account!

The PowerSaver is an administration tool and I think that it is developed only for administrator accounts!

Sorry

    Hello Pete

I m wondering really the Power Saver doesn t work well on your laptop. This tool is one of the best tools designed Toshiba and it is very useful if you want to optimize laptop power consumption.

I don't really know what the problem is here, but if you are not satisfied you can remove it from the system or simply use different power plan in power options properties.
Maybe you should try to reinstall energy saver.

Have you noticed another problem with your SP 6100?

  • Satellite A300-1NO - Power Saver crashes

    Hello

I get a fatal error when starting electric saver application, code 0 x 2

I have a Satellite A300 1NO with Windows XP. When the energy saver tries to start it gives this error code and accidents. This happens with the installer to start too.

Assuming that the cause is the lack of files required by power saver. What can we then these files?
ProgFiles/Toshiba and its subfolders are intact. I deleted some files from windows dir, who seemed unused, and needles. for example. directories and temporary files. And I think, that it is possible that some useful files have been deleted accidentally.

So, it is possible that the cause is missing some files in windows? Otherwise, I have no idea of what was happening here exactly...

    Hello

I ve page no idea why your Power Saver crashes but before install you any what Toshiba you tools should updated Win XP to the current state, and then you need to install the common Modules of the European of Toshiba.

Common modules is an essential component of Windows systems.
He will perform the other original programming from TOSHIBA to work properly.

So uninstall the old Power Saver, clean the registry and operating system with a free tool (i.e. CCleaner), install common Modules, and Power Saver.

  • Satellite A60-392: Failure of Power Saver Setup? Help me

    Hello world
I have a Toshiba a60-392. I reinstalled Windows XP Pro in my book. Then I tried to install the Toshiba Power Saver. The installation seems to be okay. On the last screen, when I pressed the "Finish" button, it causes a fatal error. Then if I try to run the Toshiba power from the control panel Manager, it says that I have no right to do so. Finally, if I try to uninstall it, it causes the same fatal error during the installation process. The error message is: "a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x7E. So I'm a little desperate. Any ideas?

    Hello

I m not quite sure what could be the reasons for this problem but as far as I know, you can assign the different parameters of basic installation of Power Saver, which could affect the performance of the laptops.
For example; Control method of the CPU, the processing speed of the CPU, cooling method.

Please check what power profile was chosen after that the AC adapter is plugged in and if necessary modify some parameters mentioned above.

    Hi mate

    You said:
    > However, when I download the 'power saver' among the official website of toshiba, I was not able to install.

First of all this laptop seems to belong to the Canadian series of Toshiba and if you want to use any tools Toshiba, then you will have to download it from the page of the Canadian driver Toshiba!

In addition, you can choose the drivers and tools exactly for the PSAA8C series.
In many cases, you will not be able to use the tools that are designed for other series!
We must therefore be sure that power saver downloaded has been released for the series PSAA8C.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P200 - Power Saver in XP does not

    Hello

I decided to make another thread so that questions can be answered. Right, so I installed Power Saver Driver, then reboot and then I install Power Saver, but when I try to access it from Control Panel I get a message saying 'CANNOT be opened because you do not access right to use 'TOSHIBA Power Saver'. Now, when I go in the SYs32 directory and search for Toshiba Power Saver related files I find a file named TPSBattM and when I try to run I get a "a fatal error has occurred, Code: 0 x 2.

I tried to reinstall and withdrawal, but it still isn't working. No one has a fix for this because this problem has been so annoying on plu laptop since then and TOSHIBA still have not resolved it.
I can't find the common Modules for Satellite P200-144. If someone could find them then it should start working again.

Thank you and please someone try to help me.

  • TOSHIBA Power Saver for Qosmio F50?

I am owner of a Qosmio F50-108 and I can't seem to find Power Saver utility from TOSHIBA.

What is the same thing that the utility options of power on the control panel? I've seen screenshots of power saver utility from Toshiba which is supposed to be delivered pre-installed on their laptops, but the one I saw was on a Qosmio G10.

The series F50 there as well? If Yes, where can I find it?

    Hello!

As far as I know that the Qosmio F50 comes with Windows Vista and not XP.

TOSHIBA Power Saver is only available for Windows XP because Vista has the same functions as energy savings. The energy saving features are now an integral part of Vista.

When I open the Console from Toshiba, then GST I can see only incomlete standard dialog box. There is no configuration icons, but initially were, and I set all the settings. Now, there are 4 black boxes (2 small as a small icon) and 2 large as icon bigest at the bottom and a large black on the right.
I try to reinstal GST, but it had no effect.

    Can someone help me

    Alex

    Hello Alex

I have never seen anything like it. There is obviously some problems that doesn t allow the graphic illustration of the ATP. The first step is always reinstalling the software. I don't know what you need to do exactly. In my opinion, you should try to remove the GST and SP2. Install SP2 again and after this GST.

If there is not the worst success solutions are preinstall the device using the recovery CD.
