  I want to install a WLC with 1232AG & 1240AG access points and I would like to know if it is possible to set up chains of VCI 2 different for the same DHCP scope, or do I have to create a scope for each type of TOWER with the corresponding string of the VCI?

  Hi friend

  You can have different channels VCI for same DHCP scopes. There are different models of LWAPP AP using different channels of VCI and all access points may be in the same DHCP scope.

  After a month, after that I took my VCP5-VTC courses and about 1 year of work in my lab at home on different scenarios, I sat in my review on 21/01/14 and fortunately I have the exam with a score of 455.

  I am interested in becoming VCI.

  I was sent here by VMware education because they thought it would be the easiest way for me to find a sponsor for my quest of the VCI.  Y at - he a broker who would be able to sponsor me?

  Hello.  I am new to VMWare certification.  I've been a Microsoft Guy for years, and I worked for a while in VMWare production environments.

  In the land of Microsoft, I'm a certified trainer, and I've been for more than a decade.  I would like to know what hoops coach recently certified for VMWare had to jump through to get their certification for VMWare.

  I'm in the United States, where it makes a difference.  So, I went to http://mylearn.vmware.com/portals/vci/mL.cfm?menu=public & ui = www_vci and read the info there.  I just want to know the difficulties encountered along the way.  Also, if you have visited a Microsoft Certified Trainer, has assisted to obtain certification at all?

  Welcome to the community - I think the biggest challenge will be to find ART that is willing to sponsor you in your quest for your VCI. The other challenge is to score the rank required to review of the VCI (350) and then be able to demonstrate the ability to run the VMware program. Once you have done this n, you will be able to teach.

  The other challenge is to maintain your VCI in training 6 times per quarter and maintaining a high level of acceptance on the course evaluations

  Hello, I need help. I'm looking to get my certification VCI. According to needs, I need to be a secure Channel with a score of over 350, attend two install and configure classes and finally participate in a workshop of the ICW. The problem I am facing is to find a schedule of the workshop of the ICW so that I can participate.

  Can someone tell me where I can find out where and when these workshops take place? Is there someone at VMWare I can contact?

  You will need to contact VMware education - the last time I checked only to affiliates to a VMware authorized training center or willing to conclude contracts directly with VMware, you will need to be an instructor before you can attend a class of the ICW -

  Four months later, after that I took my VSICM4 class and 1 year of work in my lab at home on different scenarios, I sat my review on January 27 this year, and fortunately I have the exam with score of 475.

  I am interested in becoming VCI and in those days, from the day that I have the exam so far; I'm looking for VCI requirement.

  I find various methods such as VMware TTT, teach together with instructor Senior or contacting VATC and asking them if they want a new teacher.

  But I don't have a clear vision of the steps I have to take to become a VCI.

  If anyone can help me with this?

  Moreover, I want to know if there is no official document, guide or master plan for the VCI.

  As you know, you have already met some of the VCI requirements, following the course of vSphere CIM and passing the VCP4 with a score equal to or superior to 350.

  The next decision you need to make is if you want to work full time for a VATC, or whether work on a basis of contract/freelance for many VATC. If you want a full time role of the VCI, approaching the VATC in your area would be the best thing to do next to you - they may be willing to organize and pay for additional items to become a VCI so that they can then use you as a VCI. If you contract/freelance, you are more likely to have to organize and pay yourself the additional items.

  Potential VCIs need participate in a workshop of VCI that is managed directly by VMware education Services, the workshop will deliver you different content of course ICM while VMware VCIs to evaluate your skills in delivery in a typical classroom environment. Educational services will be able to tell more about the workshop, send them an email to [email protected]

  If you want to work in freelance/contract VCI or directly for VMware, the best thing you could do is send [email protected] and ask them about the workshop of the VCI. You will need to have attended two vSphere: install configure manage or vSphere: class of Fast Track, and the workshop of VCI will send content to install configure manage while being evaluated by VCI who work for VMware.

  If you want to work for a VATC, contact the VATC in your area and find out if any of them are recruiting. They should cover all the costs of the process and also help you to make all arrangements with VMware regarding the workshop VCI etc. If you don't know the VATC in your region, still send an email to [email protected] to find out.

• Configuration of the Airport Extreme problem and Vigor 120

  Hi all

  This is the case, I have vigor installation 120 in Bridge mode with my airport extreme with settings pppoe settings of my ISP of vpi/vci: 8/35 pppoe/llc adsl2 + login and password, when the force as a router configuration, there worked perfectly, but in Bridge mode has managed to establish a PPPoE to pc but when the connection with the airport no luck I got an invalid ip address and orange light flashing.

  I have the latest in airport and vigor firmware and I'm doing a powecycle reboot after each change.

  Here are the settings in effect 120

  It's sad to say THAT PPPOE on the Apple is not reliable.

  I have the same problem... I can't use routers Apple with PPPOE on my modem in bridge... regardless of the brand.

  PPPOE is a bunch of variations... PAP or CHAP for example... and the number of... repeated attempts time between repetitions.

  Apple offers zero... whether it's no control... they are all available right now to find out what newspapers or.

  I had to simply replace the Apple router with another router... any other router seems to work fine... It's just the Apple that failed on me...

  I tried with several different Apple routers using all the old firmware, at latest... all fail. So I guess it's less coherent.

• Plug-and-Play drivers MIDI does not

  So, I recently bought a Vestax VCI-100, which is a feature of MIDI USB plug-and-play. Connect to my PC, it runs the dialog add new material, looking for drivers. After awhile, he gives up and says that it cannot find the drivers, which is strange because the device is supposed to be plug-and-play. It also happened a while back with a MIDI keyboard USB Generic. However, I have a keyboard more advanced (a M - Audio Axiom 49) that has its own custom driver that works very well. It's almost anything requiring the drivers of default plug-and-play MIDI which doesn't seem to work.

  What I discovered in my own extensive research, is that often this problem is caused by drivers Logitech Webcam creating inappropriate filtering at a level of register (my terminology may be a bit off here, lets say that I am an "intermediate" user). Unfortunately although I've never installed Logitech Webcam driver and I scanned the registry and cannot see any sign on the suggested potential cause.

  I also note that user; http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7hardware/thread/8d33026c-f5a7-4fe2-8839-6cbdb04c5d6f complain of similar problems, that he believes was caused by its instalation of ProTools. Too, I have Pro Tools on my machine and during the inspection, Miss me the file "wdma_usb.inf". However, my Pro Tools installation is up to date, but the file is still missing.

  It is by far my best leader on what is causing this problem, but I don't really know yet. I would avoid a complete reformat if I can help it, but I can't find a reliable source for the correct version of this file. Can someone provide me with this file an instructions on how to install it? In addition, advice or suggestions are more than welcome.

• WAG160N without internet connection

  Before I throw it I thought it might be useful to post here to see if anyone knows more than me about this problem.

  In the meantime, I have another wireless modem of va - working ATM I write/post - isn't all that urgent.

  My WAG160N router/modem I bought new 4 or 5 years, died a few weeks - over a period of an hour, or so he started to work very slowly - slowing to 10 or 20 kB / s from the usual sluggish 150ish KB/s that we normally get here.

  And then it stopped working altogether - and light stopped coming at all on the Internet.

  I pulled out and found 3 or 4 bulging capacitors in (which had burst at its lower end) that I replaced - faced with the horrible HMP weld seems to have been used to join them for the circuit.

  But still no Internet light or connection - other (wireless LAN) and DSL unit lights work, it goes through its startup sequence apparently OK and I can access all of its settings in the 192.168.1.1 page - including trying unsuccessfully to connect from one of these pages.

  It is interesting to try re-flashing the firmware - 1.00.15 currently? - or replacement of another part of the map will be working again?

  All suggestions gratefully - received I couldn't bear to throw a piece of equipment like that without having done everything I could reasonably to operate again.

  Well Saffrons7 you were right .

  And I was a bit wrong - do not understand that the settings must be correct before he was able to connect on the www.

  It was just a matter of re-assignment - and check - all the different parameters (including manual set VPI and VCI) my ISP and bingo!

  He immediately started working again!

  So, as you have said - and I got to halfway, iffen I could get to its router pages could not have been too much wrong with him - this is why I was so keen in seeing iffen I could restart. And also to get a little more networking know-how - which I am a little short on!

  The replacement of the value 2 or 3bananas caps bulging / burst seems to have been the solution.

  I use what I write this - of course - Linux I rarely use winDoze for the internet - as it is said: with winDoze you might as well put all your info on a billboard next to the road. and if you have forgotten your passwords under linux, you might as well format your hard drive.

  But the caps curved several have tended to indicate wear cheaper - which may well fool you again at some point in the future - so it's good to have 2 modems now .

  When the speed of ADSL, at snail PACE. I power off and power on the bridge. To decrease the speed of the line and until db SNR. (Worked a treat because Orange succeeded Wanadoo!)

  The bridge, to reconnect to the ADSL and work very well, if only 1 system is turned on.

  If both systems are on, gateway fails to reconnect and allow any browser see websites (Firefox, IE 8 32/64-bit and Minefield) or VPN or E-mail etc

  I disable, 1 system and turning off the front door, then power on and second gateway system after that. Then, it will allow normal access to the Net.

  I've had Network Magic installed, but is not installed where it was, it was not.

  I don't have this problem with a DGN2000, which is what the Linksys/Cisco WAG320N replaced.

  Apart from the definition of satic IP addresses for both systems, someone has ideas or know if there is a firmware that will solve the problem so far?

  Just tried static IP addresses and there is no place in WAG320N to enable this?

  All resolved.

  WAG320N returned, as unfit for use.

  This is after talking to Tech Support via Live Chat, that said they would be esculate... nothing.

  Shame, Cisco/Linksys could not deliver even a beta version updated firmware, to at least try to solve the problem.

• Re: Access X 2000 router/Modem doesn't give me without internet

  I never install a router before, but when I tried to configure it that he forced me to put in the ISP ip, subnet, gateway and dns.   Try these:

  Do not read the IP settings

  1. define the Type of Internet connection to-"RFC 2684 bridged."
  2 put in the VPI/VCI settings
  3. let on "obtain an ip address automatically".
  4. save changes
  5. go in the status tab and check if you an internet IP address
  6. If there is an IP - check if you are able to navigate

  With "Static IP".

  1. set the type of Internet connection to-"RFC 2684 Routed.
  2 put in the VPI/VCI settings
  3. Enter your WAN IP settings, the default gateway subnet mask etc...
  4. save changes
  5. check the internet connection

  If still doesn't work do not, better to check with your Internet service provider and check what is your type of connection

• Lynsys x 3500 X 3000 or for very crowded area

  I ask for advice on the choice of X 3500 X 3000 to wide broadband Wifi routers. I have bought this for a family in the United Kingdom who know the extreme interference from other wireless devices in their immediate environment. He seems to have no ability to detect and avoid channel conflict sources not that they currently use the default BT router/AP to access Wifi, which seems to be problematic and not resilient in terms of selection of channels on its own.

  The family is so technical that young teens can be, so I'm looking for something that will easily integrate into their home and do what Cisco does better, to connect to the Internet.

  When I went to the linksys page, the default seems to be to recommend the X 3000, I would point out that its apparently VERY easy update firmware if necessary (automated) and easy to fix, is there an advantage in the X 3500, it's as "friendly" installation and assistance to the user, is more important, the X 3500 all "smarter" X 3000 in what concerns its ability to work around other Wifi devices in conflict , I can't tell what is available on the page but also my limited knowledge of the problems of congestion in wireless.

  Looking forward to your kind advice.

  It would be best to check with the first internet service provider to check what parameters are required to configure the X 3500. I found this article on how to configure the X 3500 with BT Internet connection and they're going to need a username and password from internet service provider to authenticate the internet connection. They need to set up the X 3500 with a PPPoA connection type and virtual circuit must be set to 0 for VCI and 38 for IPV. And yet again, they are required to enter a user name and password in order to get better that one of the BT internet.
