Spaces are trimmed. 12.2 Documaker

Hello

I tried to look it up in this community on my question, as I thought it should have been known by many.

We have a field with the data type - alphanumeric / length = 100. The application upstream passes through XML, text in this field.

All the values get their left trimmed spaces.

For example

< name of field = "textfield > SAMPLE DATA IS < / field >"

is printed as below,

THIS IS SAMPLE DATA

We hope that the leading spaces is available.

Note: We have no problem with these spaces

Grateful if someone can help me on this.

Thank you!

We had this same problem a few years back. The solution was to put an additional exclamation to the xpath expression. Usually your xpath in Documaker would be something like! / Root/field. In order to keep the spaces to the left, use the following instead:! / Root/field

  • DB_CONFIG documentation says that the lines with white spaces are ignored

Berkeley DB is used for a long time and just noticed something when I was reading the docs for the latest version (Berkeley DB 12 c Release 1, version of the 12.1.6.1.26 library: (June 16, 2015)). The documentation for DB_CONFIG (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17076_04/html/programmer_reference/env_db_config.html) contains the following sentence: all empty lines or lines whose first character is a space or hash character (#) is ignored.

This is false. The lines that begin with white space are not ignored. All leading white space are skipped until the line is checked to see if it is empty or the first character of the other is a hash character.

I went back and checked a few old versions of Berkeley DB. Docs and code reading DB_CONFIG did did not match for a very long time. Did not come back through all the old versions of Berkeley DB to see if they have ever matched.

We checked this and found that leading whitespace is ignored. We will update docs accordingly. Thank you for this comment.

  • Unit testing: why white spaces are added to the PL/SQL lines on each edition?

    Dear team of SQL Developer,

Are you aware of this very annoying problem of the unit test is running: a space is added to each line of PL/SQL code with each unit test that is run?

The length of each line of code continues to grow with each race...

I wonder why is it and you have an existing reference to bug for this... Please let me know...

    Thank you

    Thank you, Gary!

    The bug was just connected:

BUG 20061594 - UNIT TESTS: the UNWANTED SPACE CHARACTERS ADDED to THE SQL CODE

I've updated the SR that white spaces are added after each change, and that it can be easily mistaken for each run (we open the editor for see/check, or simply to do an update before a new race), but the bug has already been created with a description of the problem of evil:

    "...

    Description of the problem

    ===================

Spaces are added after each line of SQL in the Unit Test after each race. »

Sorry about that... I hope that the bug will be updated with correct description before you guys accept it as a bug:

I use upstream, that allowed color spaces are CMYK. When I place a RGB file, preflight reports an error (very good). But when I add the Fx (effect) does not forward flight "Bevel and Emboss", report an error, which is really annoying. How can I fix? I like to have 'The transparency blend space' on "Document CMYK" and in the preflight profile "Fusion of transparent space" required: "CMYK".

Interestingly, if I copy and paste your images into a new doc 2 points scored.

I think that the solution is to assign the CMYK printer profile in the document. In this case, you no longer control upstream for RGB color, because by default it is converted to CMYK space correct on export or print output.

When you choose to delete the Protection Group, first virtual machines are unprotected and placeholders are deleted.

  • ~ 30 GB of disk space are missing on my T61

    Hello

My T61 has a 80 GB drive. I use ~ 45GB (including program files, Windows etc.), and I have only 2 GB of free space. Where have I lost 30 GB of disk space? I guess that's something to Lenovo that uses disk space for backup. Can I check that? If it is used for the backup, delete old backups?

    Thank you

    Erez

first of all you don't have 80 GB of hard drive space in space, as the manufacturer of HARD drive use 1 GB = 1000 MB, while the BONES see 1 GB = 1 024 MB, so the moment where you format your HARD drive, there are already 80 x 24 MB of space missing. While the rest of the lack of hard drive space are mostly taken as a backup and backup recovery, if you want to remove them just go to folder Thinkvantage-> Rescue and Recovery, in which you are authorized to view and delete backups, but make sure that you remove the smallest to the largest, otherwise the process will freeze , due to insufficient space, you have on your hard drive.

  • Why film bars (empty space) are prohibited?

I did a side-scrolling game that was approved the month back. Then when you submit a minor update, it was not approved due to a change in policy which prohibits the existence of film bars.

Horizontal scrolling is optimized for 16:9 and will just scale and focus with ratios that are different than (creation cinema bars). Force the game to fill screens 1:1 would cause views to be cut (like watching a single worst VHS), bars, so there!

I am aware that a number of BlackBerry products have screens that are 1:1 ratio, but to the insists that all applications (especially games designed with film ratios) fill the entire 1:1 is stupid. I should also mention that the BlackBerry is the ONLY device manufacturer to this requirement. Neither Apple or Android has such a requirement.

How developers are skirting around this requirement? They are simply adding a useless static graphics to cover the area where the film bar (take Copter Burger as an example). How is - this all better again gets approved?

In any case, I guess I'll do the same thing, adding a useless chart around the space empty to skirt this unnecessary requirement. Maybe I'll put a time delay on the service so that after its approved, a few days later, it will disable that stupid chart.

    Hi 1337,

Please send me a PM with your information on the supplier (ID/e-mail) and the application name/ID.

  • How transform the trailing spaces & AREAS of data from sybase to oracle

    Helllo,

We are the migration of data from sybase to Oracle using goldengate... Source Sybase with SPACES (single / Multiple) as data to CHAR/VARCHAR that will be migrated to the VARCHAR2 data type in Oracle. I'm having trouble trying to implement under two conditions to transform the data

    1) Remove SPACES during the IPL for CHAR/VARCHAR

    example: Data Source: "TRAILING SPACE.

Given target expected - remove the spaces of trailinging: "TRAILING SPACE.

    2) If the data with SPACES like a value (single or Multiple) will be loaded as a single SPACE in Oracle.

    example : Source data : " "

Expected data from target - unique space:

    Map: dbo. Target TEST_TABLE DEV01. Table_test, COLMAP (USEDEFAULTS, CRE_ID = @IF (@STRRTRIM (CRE_ID) = @NULL AND CRE_ID <>@NULL, ' ', @STRRTRIM (CRE_ID)));

I tried above mapping in the settings file, but it returns error like below, guidance on the highest implementation requirement will be useful.

    ... RIM (CRE_ID) = @NULL AND CRE_ID...

    ^

Error in the COLMAP clause. Invalid function or argument.

Under column mapping is worked :-)

    Map: dbo. Target TEST_TABLE DEV01. TABLE_TEST, COLMAP (USEDEFAULTS, CRE_ID = @IF (@STRLEN (@STRTRIM (CRE_ID)) = 0, ' ', @STRRTRIM (CRE_ID)));

  • Doubt of free space area of fast recovery

    Hi all

I have 11.2.0.3.0 Oracle 64-bit of Windows 2008 Server, I have the database with ASM and I activated the Flashback in my database...
I assigned 8 GB for db size of area of recovery, I have backups Rman, flashback logs, archive logs...
My doubt is automatically free space of oracle in the case of no free space in FRA, I checked for RMAN backups, automatically my obsolete backups are removed from the FRA, but I doubt on the flashback logs... .my flashback retention period is 1 day...

Is oracle automatically removes obsolete flashback logs in the case of no free space in FRA aur manually I need to delete?

    Thank you and best regards,

Is oracle automatically removes obsolete flashback logs in the case of no free space in FRA aur manually I need to delete?

It is also used by oracle automatically if obsolete based on the retention policy.

If a newspaper flashback is old enough that it is no longer necessary to satisfy the purpose of retention of flashback, then a newspaper flashback is reused.

  • What color space are color presets search for?

I noticed that if I convert the same image to multiple color spaces and apply a LUT 3D with the new adjustment to color search, the result is significantly different. Experimentation, it seems that lookup tables work on any RGB value is given to them in any color space. Is there a certain color space, so they have been optimized? For example, a certain color space would give me a glance 2-strip more authentic than another due to space, in that they were sampled? And if I create my own 3D LUTs, should I create a separate for each color space in order to get a consistent look in all areas?

3DLUTs don't know about image encodings or spaces of colors - they operate on values.

    Devicelink profiles are similar.

But abstract profiles are completely color management.

Yes, you will need to create 3DLUTs for each color space and image coding to get accurate results.

  • Group space and personal space are not

    Version: 11.1.1.4

When I connect to the WebCenter spaces as an administrator, I don't get the option of creating a group space. I get links for Favorites, Logout, help, administration spaces but not for the space group. Why is it so. I have all the tutorials for WC, these options are available, but when I want to explore space group I can't do both in the WebCenter spaces.

Also, is it possible to create spaces for group to one custom space created (other than default webcenter space)?

    The pointers/help appreciated.

I think that in the WC 11.1.1.4, concept of space is used. I do not see any group or personal spaces in my ps3 app Webcenter. All we can do is create a business role or sub-areas or space pages and assign the role or users. In this way we can decide it will be personal or belong to a group.

  • White spaces are weird

I am trying to query through a dblink Oracle to SQL Server 2012... basic stuff works as select * and a couple of joints.

But when I try more than one couple joins my has output of white space between the texts.

I tried regular expressions, unicode conversion / delimited, but nothing seems to work...

What of even weirder when I copy the result in excel there is nothing there, but when I commit on the new joints and run the query, the text is there and able to be copy and pasted.

If I reset the dblink and run the same exact query with commits them more additional joins, the output is fine but if I try an order or anything else, that white return spaces!

I think it's a different text but wtf?

    SELECT

    PR."PRequestId."

    PR.' name' as PFLEX,.

    t.' name' as LCRIDE

    OF "PProductionRequest"@TICdb_link pr.

    "" "JOIN"Detail"@TICdb_link d d." PRequestId "= pr." PRequestId.

    "" "JOIN"T"@TICdb_link t t." TId "= d." TId ".

-left JOIN "Ppr PtProductionRule"@ticdb_link PR. "PProductionRuleId" = ppr. "" PProductionRuleId ".

    image.jpgimage 2.jpg

Have seen this before with heterogeneous database links from Oracle to SQL Server.

As I understand it is that the text returned by SQL-Server is a set of characters to multibyte (2 bytes in this case), and deals with Oracle's standard ASCII 1 byte. So the 2nd byte (unused by the 2-byte char) is presented as a white space.

The likely reason that this happens when you add joins - joins change the character set in the projection of SQL.
