  I had just updated my Firefox to the latest version (29.0.1), and it restarted, as soon as I noticed hits extra space next to the space where you type the address of the site. The extra space seems to be the lock with the address, because I can't move the extra space when you try to customize the toolbar (like how you can't move the address). I would try the "restore default" Customize, and does not remove the space. The extra space is not the search bar, and does not seem to use the extra space, so I wonder what's the point really? or if it's a random bug?

  I have just started using Firefox, but I noticed a strange "characteristic" (I don't know if this is a feature or a bug, so the quotes). I'm used to the opera, and that is where by when I double click on some text, the text will be automatically selected. Firefox does something like this, but for some reason any I don't yet understand that it adds extra space at the beginning or at the end of the selection. It is a problem for someone like me who, for work, did a lot of copy / paste. I use web software that doesn't tolerate extra spaces and this feature/bug will end up causing some problems.
  Is it possible to change this behavior so that it behaves more like all my other computer programs? Your help is greatly appreciated.

  Well, unfortunately, the solution did not work. I guess it's back to the opera, as seems to be the only browser that has the features I need. Too bad.

• Extra space under navigation in IE6

  Hi, I am using DW CS4 on a processor intel Mac.  These two sites look good on other browsers, but with IE6, there is extra space just below the navigation that gets really subsumed in CSS rollovers, such that it performs abnormally high turnover.

  This could be the 'a' bug causing this space in IE6.

  IF you want to support IE6 (I have not) you can target specifically the browser with an IE conditional comment.

  Cut the underside (not URL) and paste it into the code of your pages directly before the closing tag.

  I write fiction. I need to be able to put the dialogue in quotation marks. My problem is that when I ask speech recognition for 'Open-quote' and then start the dialogue, I get an extra space. Like this: "come with me, Jim.

  My apologies for not getting back to you sooner, actually I'm surprised that no one else has offered suggestions.

  I've personally never used speech recognition, so I have a question.  I know it's maybe not the right way to "solve" the problem, but you can do it?  When you say quote open or open Double Quote, can you tell us immediately Backspace?

  Basically, I want to do an update on a table column. How can I write the update statement to delete extra spaces in a column.

  1. I use the styleclass AFStretchWidth and I put the width to 100%

  2. I'm defining the width of the columns in % (sum of the width of all columns is 100%)

  Set columnStretching = "last" or one of the columns will disable the percentage of column widths, this means that if you set the columnStretching = "last" column width table and set = "15%" when running, the column width will be '15px '. If you want to set the column width by the percentage of the columnStretching of the table must on "multiple" as you did.

  So, if you want to set columnStretching = 'last' table, you must set the column width of pixels (width = "120").

  Your page looks ok, you set columnStretching = "multiple" and you set the columns width in percentage but try to remove the width of the table = '100% ' and test again.

  If you want to continue to use this font you can uncheck the box use the quotes on Indesign > Preferences > Type and extra spaces disappear.

     SET SUBTYPES  = TRIM (SUBTYPES);
  

  RTRIM do it alone will not be enough coz it takes away only right spaces and NOT left those.
  I guess in your case do a PLATE will be more advantageous to be safe and avoid left spaces in the future.

  For the intermediate spaces... try this.

  UPDATE tablesubtype
     SET SUBTYPES  = REGEXP_REPLACE (SUBTYPES, ' ', '');

  I studied the issue and found that you are using the code embedded within the text frame. It is originally the extra white space between the text and shape. I suggest to close the text at the end of the text back to the top, then add the code for the form and make another block of text for the text background. I tested it on your site and it worked fine.

  When the hide/show sections, I get more space that I don't want. I was not able to understand how to remove extra space.

  There is a post at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3708111 where I have adapted the following simple example. When the section that alternate you power is hidden, you will see there is more space between the text of the first and the second static. There should be less space (as seen between the second and third static text). Any ideas on how to avoid the extra space?
