Special characters in the filter table
Hello
JDev 11.1.2.4
I have a filter table displayed in the selectOneChoice form. The entrance is the character *. If I select this element in the LOV and run filtering, the * is retired (I checked the generated SQL code). I don't have the issue of another 'normal' value such as EN, (SQL CODE generated a where CLAUSE with the value selected as well as the '%' character. Is it possible to use * as a filter?
Thank you
Got what you have to escape the social characters of qbe. However, it requires little code. You can watch https://tompeez.wordpress.com/2013/02/16/jdeveloper-11-1-1-6-0-escape-qbe-operators-in-filterable-tables/
When I introduced the technique.

Chips and other special characters in the App World descriptions
How is one makes chips and other special characters in the description of the app in the supplier portal? I see various descriptions app with chips so I know it's possible. I tried Googling the answer, but to no avail. Can someone point me to the documentation for it?
Thank you
Lester
I think it's just the Unicode text, so if you include these characters when you submit the form, they will display.
Your question is perhaps more on how to insert these characters into the HTML form. To do this, because I need it rarely, I didn't copy and paste of a website where I can find the required text. For example, Google for 'unicode ball' and you can find one of them on one of the first findings of the research, such as the Wikipedia article.
Some people probably have their systems set up to type Unicode directly from their keyboard, but I never got to determine the modern way to do this (and the last time I checked, years, Unicode in operating systems support was still largely missing).

Special characters in the classic report
Hello
I'm unable to display special characters in the classic report.
"For example""" is coming as ' '.
Is there a way to fix this?
It seems that use characterset "WE8ISO8859P15" is causing this issue, which is a single-byte character set and so unable to encode these characters.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi all
I am trying to remove special characters without the help of regular expressions.
translate (the column name or string,'!@#$ & * (* () _) * "" :} {?}) >? /, «, » ')
I want to eliminate this manual process to give all special characters using a chr() or ascii() function.
Please show me the way.
Thanks in advance

How can I insert emoji or other special characters in a document using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI? I went to special characters from the Edit menu and may not understand how to insert the special character in the document.
He's not that kind of editor. You can use the characters in a font. If you can select a font with the emoji, which fits into the case, and then enter the characters, it can work.
This suggests that you try to do TOO MUCH with a PDF file. It is a common thing, but the message should be: everything simply because you can edit a PDF file, does not mean that it is the most effective way for you to do your job.

Hello. Can he the word pdf conversion to retain the original character of the special characters of the algorithm? the formulas have special mathematical symbols. Conversion them kept?
The equations are a problem. If the equation is text, you can be lucky if you have the fonts on your system. Most of the time I have try, the fonts in the equation are garbage. Expect to have to retype the equations and some special characters. Much also depends on the existence of the fonts on your system. Just in my experience, the equations are almost impossible to convert.

empty data file with special characters in the name
Hi all
I'm having a problem with an empty data file which is in recovery mode.
Before the following has been a success:
ALTER database create datafile 'fully_qualified_file_name' as 'fully_qualified_file_name ';
recover data file "fully_qualified_file_name";
ALTER database datafile 'fully_qualified_file_name' online;
But this time it does not work as I get an error:
ORA-01516: file nonexistent journal, data file, or temporary file
Using the file id does not work either.
When I created a record of control file I see the data file has special characters in the name:
' / oracle/PRD/112_64/dbs/PSPR3I ^? ^?'
Since it is empty, it would be possible to create the data file void anothr
using the:
ALTER database create datafile ' / oracle/PRD/112_64/dbs/PSPR3I ^? ^?'
as ' / oracle/PRD/spdata2/r3i_8/r3i.data8';
and then recover datafile 'fully_qualified_file_name ';
ALTER database datafile 'fully_qualified_file_name' online;
How orders oracle faced with special characters?

How to use wildcard characters in the filter REMAINS for subscription items
I've followed this documentation:
String columns filters
Support the % operator (started by).
Support * operator (contains).
Can't stand (trimmed) operator.
Examples:
Name = service *.
Name = * g *.
Name = * g - unauthorized
URL OF THE REST:
http://
/RequestCenter/nsapi/serviceitems/serviceitemsubscription / = I can get the filters to work without wildcards, but have had no success in using ' *' or '%' characters Please provide an example encoded URL appropriate for
ServiceItemTypeName starting with "virtual". I was not able to get all the data returned when using wildcard characters in a filter.
Here is what I tried:
ServiceItemTypeName = instant virtual server
answer: 200
literal works as expected
ServiceItemTypeName = virtual %
Request-Type = application/xml
answer: 200
expected result not returned
ServiceItemTypeName = virtual *.
Request-Type = application/xml
500
Internal error: invalid parameter values specified or an unexpected error. fails with the error response
Hi Dan,.
I don't think you can use wildcards here.
Please see the integration Guide to 9.4. Section: "REST API-> Quick Reference.
You will find a table of what features are supported for resources exposed by the API. There you will find a line for "All Service elements", and you will see that: get all the, sorting, paging and all filters are supported; Search for names of wildcards are not...
When I came across this situation, I guess I'm trying to do a generic name search here... and it is not supported. This, however, works for the other columns (Designer if created), which is what, in my view, that documentation is trying to describe. (Although, personally, I feel that it is a bug).

Replace special characters in the FDF
Hello
I've looked everywhere and can't find the answer to this simple problem. I can handle javascript in an HTML environment using free scripts, but it is not so easy in a PDF form. I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and I have a form that once completed and submitted, generates and sends a FDF file. I use a script on the server side, called FormGenie do this and the script hate parentheses and some other characters, they break the FDF file. Everything I want to do is set up a document level Javascript that find and replace all instances of these special characters with something license as a hyphen - or just a space.
I tried:
function clearText() {}
document. FormName.FieldName.Value = filterNum (document. FormName.FieldName.value)function filterNum (str) {}
re = /\$|#|~|\%|\*|\^|\(|\)|\+|\=|\[|\]|\[|\}|\{|\;|\"|\<|\>|\?| \|| \\|\!| \$/g;
remove special characters as ' $' and ',' etc...
return str.replace (re, "-");
}
}and
function clearText2 (str) {}
stringName = stringName.replace (/------$| #| ~ |------% |------* |------^ | \(|\) |--------+ |------= |------[|------] |------[{|------} |------{|------; |------"|"}]) ------< | ------> | \ ? | \|| \\|\!| \$ /g,'-');
}I know that these are not good, but I have to be at least barking to the top of the tree on the right.
Can anyone help?
Thank you
You create the form in Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer?
In general, you can place a script typo in the script of the text of each filter field field hit, in the case where something replacing the user typed with something else would not cause the concern of the user. An alternative would be to be implemented a script that parses the fields just before the submission form action takes place and not to replace them.
For example, you can use the following JavaScript typo customized for text fields created in Acrobat:
If (! event.willCommit) {}
Event.change = event.change.replace (/ [------$# ~ %------*------*------^ \ (\)------+=------[\]------{\};------"\<\>\?]) \ | \\\ !] /g, "-");
}
and it will replace these characters when the user types the data into a text field. May not include all the character you want replaced, but you should get the idea.

How to handle special characters in the Apex
Hello
In my application, I have two regions - region report (interactive report) and other is region HTML with text elements two - Empno and name
My report has two columns Empno (varchar2) and Ename (varchar2).
When I click on the link change in the column of the report, the empno should be a read-only value EMPNO and ename is a text with the value of the ENAME field.
When I run my application, I have encountered the following problems:

2. If my empno has special characters such as "," characters after the decimal point is considered to be a value of next texitem

Published by: David on August 13, 2010 03:05Do not pass the data values in the URL. If it is possible to escape values to make URL - and APEX parameter-safe, it is much better to avoid the problem completely.
Create a primary key of the substitution on the table which is an immutable discreet digital identifier and use it only as a URL parameter. In pages/target areas, use this value of PK to extract the data from the table.
