specify the cfinput type file folder start

Anyone know if there is a way if you use < cfinput type = "file"... > to specify the folder of the file Explorer starts in?

Even better (and I REALLY want to do), is there a way to simply specify the file used by CFFILE name by concatenating the path + filename + extension doc, IE:

< cfset form.photo = "source_path" & form.file_name_entered_by_user & ".jpg" >

and then:

< cffile action = "upload".
fileField = "form.photo"...

It would be much easier things mke for users.

I'm sure that no, on both accounts. Mainly for security reasons.

FILE fields require the user to interact with their computer and a decision consious about their choice. The startup location depends on where their last record or files during load or download of operations through the BONE... the OS commands this feature, not your web page. If people could program pages well start somewhere they could try and entice users to provide files which hinder the security of their computer. In addition, how do you believe you know where they recorded the file they are downloading?

DOWNLOAD CFFILE requires a user multi-part form to submit for download, and the field sent to the command must be a file field. It cannot be done with the right programming. Again, it is a question of security, otherwise anyone could program a web page to steal files on a computer without the knowledge of the user, and it would be a huge legal and security problem.

  • Find my temporary folder - NOT the Temporary Internet Files folder

Where can I find the temporary files folder? I'm not looking for the Temporary Internet Files folder but the temporary file folder. I recently downloaded a digital purchase from a Web site on my computer. Normally, I can right click and select Save target as and select the folder where I want to save it. But, for some reason any this site does not allow me to do this process. So I have to click on the download button and it starts to save the file in my folder for temporary files. I'll watch the Internet Temp folder - package not there. Then, I noticed there is a folder Temp basic - but for the life of me - I can't find? I tried to do a search advaced on my computer to find the file - it takes hours. I don't have the time to sit here and look for the file - do not to seem pretentious - but it is taking my business time. 1 can anyone tell me where to find the folder for temporary files? and 2. Anyone know how I can change when the files are automatically uploaded? I know you used to be able to do it via IE and tools. But I do not see this option. Any help will be appreciated!

The following article tells you where it is and how to clean it (if it's of any interest):http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/104637-temporary-files-temp-folder.html.

As far as downloads go, everyone I did always asked me if I want to run the file or save it, and if I select save it allows me to access the location of my choice.  I've never had one who just downloaded without any warning to some place that he chose.  The following article can help you by setting a default value or revise the value default or the fixing of the problem presented no option (even if it is by reference to another article):http://unlockforus.blogspot.com/2008/07/how-to-find-or-specify-download.html.

I'm trying to use a CFINPUT/FILE field on a FORM:

    < CFINPUT TYPE = "file" NAME = "scanArticleLocation" class = "sans9" >

By clicking the button browse appears to fill the area of text with a valid path, but when the field 'scanArticleLocation' is sent by the form, I get this:

    < INPUT TYPE = "hidden" NAME = "ScanArticleLocation" VALUE = "C:\CFusionMX7\runtime\servers\coldfusion\SERVER-INF\temp\ wwwroot-tmp \neotmp12527.t mp" >

Weather I have to click on the button 'Browse' of the form to specify the path to the file, or enter manually, the result is the same (only the changes of name of the .tmp files). Someone at - he never met this one?

CCleaner is very useful to get rid of temporary files, you can get it here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner you can use it to clean your temporary files, but DO NOT use registry cleaning works, registry cleaning is mainly a useless effort that can cause more harm than good.

How can we get the structure of file/folder XP instead of libraries in Windows 7? We are a couple of older people who are very comfortable with the structure of file/folder from xp and I'd love to keep it in win 7, we find very confusing.

    Hello

The problem is that there are a number of system of folder names that have been changed in later versions of Windows after XP.

    Examples:

C:\ Documents and Settings is now C:\Users

    C:\Application Data is now C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming

    Parameters of C:\Local is now C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local

    C:\All users now is C:\ProgramData

And there is a lot of changes in name/location.

To make it even more confusing, each of these folders that have been changes of name/location includes a junction , which is the original XP folder name, at the original location of XP. These junctions are used to redirect software more old programs installed that are hard coded to look for the old XP to a folder name. These junctions are recognizable by a shortcut arrow on the folder.

  • I keep the system of file/folder in Windows 7... It will change anytime soon (Windows 8)?

There will be a choice/option to know if yes or no users will want to use the old system XP/Vista-folders/files in Windows 8? You are familiar with the old addage, "DON'T FIX it NOT... IF it IS NOT BROKEN! "The old system had its good and bad points and good high point was its ability to drop and drag... to fairly well set up their own system of folder/file in no time at all for me. Also, I have problems with the system of file/folder skip around in the Navigation pane. When I click on an element of the page jumps to the bottom of the window... pulling everyting from the top down. Work real irratitating. There is a way no possible way to organize the files or photos by drag - move. I was using either digital or the method alphabeticle of the organization... sometimes both and a reference. It takes longer now. A little longer. I could go on and, but you get the general idea. So, I think that a choice for those who are accustomed to the old XP/Vista method and those who must work with the newest Windows 7, would be grateful to have and enjoy the ability to have the choice between the two methods. It would be a great and welcome addition. Those who are accustomed to the folder/file system Windows 7 would not change. And those he wish they had the old system at their disposal would have this choice. Come on Ms... Eliminate the negative and add to the odf positive side of the new Windows 8. You asked for ideas... Well, I'm throwing this one in the ring. "GET EERrrr DONE!", Bye, BPAlaska

  • JPEG image is displayed in the selected image files folder

When the discovery of the computer and selecting the image file folder - I use to get the small real individual images of each image in the folder without having to enter in the Windows Photo Gallery.  Now, I have only an icon, the same as that for each of the images and the only way I can see that the actual image is to select a specific icon and hope that is the image I'm looking for.  Can someone tell me how I can get all the individual photos in the folder of image file to display when I select that folder?

    Hi looking, advanced

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

I first suggest you to change the display of the photo icons folder type medium or large icons and check if that helps.

To do this, follow these steps:

Open the photo folder. Click view > select icons medium or large icons.

Make sure that default programs > associate a file or protocol type with a program, file types .bmp, .ico, DIBs, .jfif, .jpeg, .jpe, .png, .png, .tiff, .tif, .wdp file names must have the default program like Windows Photo Gallery.

Otherwise, select the type of file name, click on change program and browse to choose as default Windows Photo Gallery.

Additionally, set the global folder options

To specify the global settings that apply to all folders, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Folder Options.
    2. On the general tab, click the options you want.
    3. In the view tab, click the options you want.
    4. Click OK.

Note To restore the default settings for all folders, click restore defaults on the general tab or on the view tab.

Use the same display settings for all folders

You can apply the same view settings to all folders on your computer. You cannot apply the same view settings for all folders, images icons, toolbar settings or tasks folder. To apply the same view settings to all folders, follow these steps:

    1. Locate and open the folder which includes the display setting you want to use for all folders.
    2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
    3. On the view tab, click apply to all folders.
    4. Click Yes, and then click OK.

Note To reset all folders to the default display settings, repeat these steps, but click reset all folders in step 3.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • Specify the path to file report with Expression

TS201x help under "Specifying report file paths by Expression" talking with a number of macros various, but starts at the page that shows how to use FileGlobals also. When you specify the expression (... > specify the path file of report by Expression > Expression browser), I would like to combine macros with FileGlobals, but none of the FileGlobals are listed is available. The expression builder has access to the StationGlobals however, but not in the FileGlobals.

Is there a workaround solution, or at least an explanation of this behavior?

    See you soon

I think you found a bug in the documentation.  In the process of old models, you can use the FileGlobals of the process model as that sentence States.  Now that they moved to Plugins I don't think that this is no longer true.  You may need to go with a StationGlobal on it.

Or you can cancel the ReportOptions recall and change the Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFileSequentialModelExpression variable to include the information in your customer file.  So, basically, to define a placeholder in your expression in the dialog box options report.  Then in the callback to use the SearAndReplace method to replace the placeholder with the specific data.  It worked for me when I tested it.  The nice thing about this way, is that you don't have to manage the StationGlobals.

    Hope this helps,

  • The temporary Internet files folder

How can I clean a Temporary Internet Files folder properties shows a 21.5 MB content but nothing appears in the tree of files?

«.. . and says disk cleanup I could free 2 k of disk in dealing with internet Temp files. yipeee... »

I agree, 2 k of cleanup seems not even the time it takes to run Disk Cleanup. Personally, I've never used the feature in private so I can't comment on that, maybe, someone experienced with it will post more information.

Maybe the free version of CCleaner utility can help with your files not found. I use it on all my machines and have seen it recommended countless times in this forum as well as others.

    CCleaner
     http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner

CCleaner is very effective for not only erase the temporary Internet files, but also other temporary files, caches and other accumulated junk.

If you decide to try, by default most everything on Windows and tabs Applications are checked to be cleaned. You must first carefully consider this list (it's compiled by what you have installed) and check/uncheck accordingly.

Then, click analyze to see what will be removed (nothing is deleted when you click Analyze); When the scan is finished you can double-click on (or right-click and select view detailed results) none of the entries in the list to get more information.

In the detailed view of the results, you can right click on options such as Add to exclusion list if you want the deleted item.

Once you are completely comfortable with your selections you can click the Run Cleaner button, and then click OK to the warning before running the vacuum cleaner.

CCleaner also has a registry cleaner, which I do not recommend the use - unless you are a very experienced user and understand the possible consequences and take the necessary precautions. Registry cleaners, either free or commercial, IMO expose a user to a very high risk of creating serious problems and, eventually, a system that won't start.

The Tools section has also two useful functions, Startup and System Restore.

The start feature is very useful in managing what programs start when Windows starts (although I personally prefer Windows Sysinternals Autoruns for Windows). However, no matter which boot manager you can use, it is always better to consider Options a program, preferences, settings, etc., to prevent them from starting at boot time before resorting to a Boot Manager.

    Autoruns for Windows
     http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902

CCleaner System Restore feature is excellent to remove older restoration that you no longer want to keep or need points. Sometimes this can free up a lot of disk space. However, it is not recommended to delete all THE restore points that you don't want in the future.

Since you're under Windows XP SP3, there is one last point I want to mention if you try to recover hard disk space, it is the removal of the Programs uninstall of patches. This can sometimes release a significant amount of disk space. When Windows is selected in the cleaner section with the tab, you will see down under Advanced patches uninstallers.

These files contain the uninstall information for each update of Microsoft that install. This means that you will not be able to uninstall the updates if you delete these folders. You can leave here unless you have need of available disk space. If your system is stable, and if you intend to uninstall an update is no longer, so go ahead and remove the $NtUninstall... corresponding records. Or you can move these files to another hard drive or burn them to CD before you delete the hard drive.

The above is an excerpt from the next page, and it is recommended that these files be saved on an external before deleting as shown in the snippet above.

What are the $NTUninstall files? Can they be deleted?

  • Cannot delete cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder

I use Windows Vista and HP has this laptop screwed up so I can't navigate to certain folders. I have 10 cookies in my folder of temporary internet files that I can't remove. Even if I go to the cmd prompt as administrator it doesn't let me access the folder. In fact when I go to cmd it opens by default in the directory main I need it, but when I type dir\ that it lists only a few so I type dir/a to see them all, but even after that now it doesn't let me in next dir saying the system cannot find the path. What can I do?

Download ccleaner run it then go to cleaner / click on run cleaner. First close the browsers

  • Get rid of it completely from the permissions of file/folder in Windows 7

I'm looking to completely disable the horrible Windows 7 permissions, you need administrative access (even if I am logged in as the system administrator account) to rename or delete a file system.

I'm willing to change registry as long as possible. I also tried to appropriate folder permissions and setting to allow complete changes but still no luck. Another method?

I think I have it solved. Here's what I did

    1. enable the system administrator account from command promt.

2 log in as system administrator

    3. Select the Windows folder to the root of the installation

    4. open its security properties, click 'Advanced', go to the 'Owner' tab and click 'change '.

    5. Select 'Administrator' (not "Administrators"). Check the option "replace the owner of subcontainers and objects".

    6. click on 'Ok '. It will confirm the action and take 2-3 minutes to set permissions on the folders and subfolders

    7. now close the Properties dialog box and open it again (required after the evolution of the property)

    8. again, go to the Security tab, click on 'Edit' to modify permissions. Select "Administrators" (or the other)

    9. in the pane below, check the box under the "Allow" column and on the line "Full control".

    10. check that all the checkboxes are checked (this gives a full permission to the account administrator to all what the user wants with the files and folders in the Directory Windows)

    11. If it does not, as suggested above by John, when the change of ownership, check the option "Include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent to this object" is disabled

Of course, this creates a security risk, but I'm willing to accept the risk for the benefit of any interruption during the replacement of the system files. God Windows is stupid.

Thank you for your help and elicit responses, John.

  • Specify the data type of scalar result in NamedNativeQuery

I created a NamedNativeQuery to return scalar data data. One of the return value is defined as the NUMBER in the Oracle database. EclipseLink returned a BigDecimal for this scalar value. But I really want a long data type. Is there a way that I could say EclipseLink back long instead of BigDecimal?

    Thank you

Native SQL queries return usually all that returns the database, you will probably have to convert the value of value in your application. Just cast to number and access the longValue().

If you are using a JPQL or object level query return type is type declared object, so maybe it's a better option instead of using SQL native if possible.

In the EclipseLink query API, there are DirectReadQuery and ValueReadQuery who take care of a converter, but these can be used when the query returns a single column or a value.
