SpeedGrade EDL problem

Hello.

I exported an EDL of Premiere pro, any of speedgrade file and cannot bind the rollers.

After you import EDL, I open my files and select 'import from dekstop' but nothing has changed.

Win 7 x 64

First pro / Speedgrade cc 2014

I do not understand how you get a DPX conversion to help send it directly in SpeedGrade, deals with 'Direct link'. PrPro does... not all the files it saves the current project and a few seconds opens SpeedGrade, with the sequence ready to work. DPX & EDL has CC before treatment.

In order to explain once again... you have a project, you work in a CC of PrPro version. In the menu of left most top program is an option (although to the bottom of the list) 'Direct Link to Adobe SpeedGrade'. Click on that.

Then, it will ask you if you want to save, click Yes.

Then, a little short, you see the closing/opening of PrPro screen. Ignore it.

Then Adobe SpeedGrade open... and with the sequence you work loaded, although sometimes if you have several clips in a project, he asks that you want to open. Select the one you want if it isn't already 'up '. (At this point, I don't go to the system menu bar back PrPro "' get out of there, that my machine does not both at the same time... Luckily). So now, with open SpeedGrade you work your project sequence images... don't we no conversion of anything.

Once completed, you click the icon at the top left with PrPro on this subject. Who asks if you want to save your work (of course you do) and PrPro opens for you. At this point I want to get out Sg (above), I would like to PrPro while working in the Official Journal. And you work back in PrPro.

It's the whole process, as it is designed.

  • Problem importing SpeedGrade EDL in Premiere Pro

I am trying to use the detection feature SpeedGrade scene on the occasion of scenes in a movie already published. Scene detection works well, and I exported a SpeedGrade EDL, which looks like this:

    TITLE: meshes

    FCM: NON‑DROP FRAME

    001C MESHESOF V 00:00:00:00 00:00:00:27 00:00:00:00 00:00:00:27

    * THE NAME of the ELEMENT: the meshes of the afternoon - SD.avi

    002 V MESHESOF C 00:00:00:27 00:00:06:08 00:00:00:27 00:00:06:08

    * THE NAME of the ELEMENT: the meshes of the afternoon - SD.avi

As far as I know, that looks fine, but when I drag the EDL in first with the intention to make each scene as it's own clip, I have a few questions. The clip seems to be a big new block, as if the SpeedGrade EDL changes are not applied.

Is there something I'm doing wrong here, or it is not possible to import an EDL SpeedGrade in first?

Also, are there other ways better to reach my goal of automatic detection of scene changes and split into clips based on these changes?

Here's the workflow, I decided to use. It's a bit slower than I expected, but it seems to meet my needs.

    1. Convert MOV or AVI videos
    2. Import in SpeedGrade
    3. Execution scene detection
    4. Manually, confirm correct scene detection.
    5. Export of speed category
    6. Convert to MP4 ready for the web using Media Encoder (MP4 is necessary in my use case but it could not be in all the world)
  • Rendering of the beginner Speedgrade CC2015 problem. File parts result slow return.

    Hello.

I used to the Premiere Pro for a number of years and started using Speedgrade.

Initially, I used the Direct link functionality between the two, but when I got to export I don't think that my computer could process instructions (despite me having 16 GB of RAM and a top of the line mac book pro.) So, I decided to tackle the problem in a different way making the changes directly in Speedgrade before you export the file, and then import it into Premiere Pro for the final touch.

The problem I have is the "Render" tab When I export the resulting .mov plays back in the slow movement, similar to the speed of the preview window in the tab "color." It looks like its about 5 frames per second!

I'm sure it's a rookie mistake, but I don't see how to export at full speed? My original film is 25 fps.

Ive looked for lynda.com and youtube, but to no avail...

    Help, please

    Chris.

    Screen Shot 2015-10-02 at 16.20.50.png

I'm able to do, but the result is always a slow video... which I suppose means that somehow make it has reduced the FPS.

The origin of the source footage is great and fine pieces in first... the audio was not recorded outside, so no need to worry about this for now.

First can be used as a tool to show how your rendering output is interpreted. I've seen a lot of problems created with the installation of the sound card and audio. Audio for me in Speedgrade is intermittent. At the time current Speedgrade does not allow me to hear the audio, however, Speedgrade even not load for me just know, I had to kick open. When the playback speed is slow or fast in the first, I look in the settings of the audio hardware. So if similar problems with Speedgrade, I look in Speedgrade preferences > sound > engine + device + frequency of mixture. Things like that, but I can't simulate, because of my rendering limits and no audio in Speedgrade myself problems.

First can be used as a tool to show how your rendering output is interpreted. Yes, your source is playing very well, I ask for your interpretation of the rendered version.

    Hi jforlach,

I try to import a Speedgrade edl in first pro, but it does not matter all change. The timeline is there but not cuts.

In the case with a clip from one source, the SpeedGrade EDL does not separate clips, but breaks a single clip in separate classification areas. The result is a sequence without cuts. Sorry about that.

At the present time, we have the ability to do what you want. To do this, Please file a bug report.

  • Adobe Media Encoder will not support HEVC suddenly

So I dig the 2015 CC media programs now since the launch, but SpeedGrade had problems and now suddenly Media Encoder problems for me also, it used to support the HEVC/H.265 very well a few weeks ago, but now he usually work any more after I have updated to update to the latest version Premiere Pro is in the latest version and supports the HEVC codec very well but Media Encoder refuses to support it, I also don't have MXF OP1 wrapping it with XAVC and AVC codecs.

Someone has an idea, what happens? I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, but it keeps installing the latest version, so I tried the standalone version of it using the first version of the Media Encoder and it still doesn't work. What happens here?

The program gives me the following message every time I try to export a source HEVC project. This file requires the HEVC codec

    Hi SMGJohn_EU,

Hi I want to export an edl of speedgrade cs6, but I got a problem

the Save button grayed out, edl I can't press it

  • EDL framerate problem.

Hi, I'm working on a material of R3D, and I have a problem with export EDL ot first Pro Speedgrade.

I export the sequence to EDL, load this EDL in speedgrade and load the office clip. The problem is that I get a red warning box,

telling me that there is a problem between the framerate of the sequence and the framerate of clip.

In Premiere Pro, clip and sequence are both 25 fps. I export the EDL be. Load in speedgrade and it is read as a timeline of 24 fps...

    Hey mafetapaz,

Please stop by the EDL section are in line with our online help:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/SpeedGrade/using/conform-EDLs.html

You can force the loading of the EDL with a specific Framerate.

  • Problems with the Speedgrade color depth

    Hello everyone!

As said in the title I have problems with the number of colors in Adobe Speedgrade.

I would like to color - correct images my drone DJI using LUTs and, of course, build-in Speedgrade tools.

Unfortunately, the use of the LUTs makes video appearance as there are not enough color-depth because you can see the bands in gradients (especially in the sky).

I hope you can see the problem in the following screenshot.

Scratches appear in Speedgrade preview, as well as in video rendering.

So what can I do to avoid this scratches?

    Thank you in advance!

    Greetings

    Raphael

    Screenshot.jpg

I have not bought any of the first LUT game I bought... 4 years back, now. Wow, how time flies...

    Why?

Because I had problems with excerpts from tapes and rarely found one I liked "such what ', so I got to work the clip after you apply the LUT as much as if I started from scratch. So why pay for the dang thing?

I found it a good common sense many people in publishing & work of colorist, there is a certain tech LUT can really be able to use, but those who are mainly for the spendy 'pro' movie, Reds, Arris and other cameras. For a film DSLR & drone, making its own tends to work MUCH better.

And it is easy within the Sg.

Take this clip... watch your litters, first. Move the slider Temp for the position that balances the red & blue tops, cursor Magenta to balance the red & green tops... then left offset slider far a channel can be a little below '0', 0 to sentence above and one a little higher... then with keyboard and mouse or a simple trackball, move the color slider controls rather than wheels "unlock" the trio Offset, match the bottom just above 0, reset the summits if necessary and then return to wheels.

Move the controls in Gamma Luma needed to feel 'brightness', and you have a a neutralized clip. Shouldn't take more than 20 seconds to do the above, if that.

Now using color wheels, started working for a 'vision' and of course use secondary as necessary to adjust certain colors/colours/brightness and maybe go to controls Shadow & Highlight to get finer control of two Luma and chroma on the edges... in general, it is best to bring the ends of the scale to neutral even with a look hot or cold for most of the signal.

Get something you like and can be used for a large number of your clips, save it as an eye. You can just quickly apply to any other work.

You want to use in PrPro? Easy... with the right button on the Look to the Sg, choose 'Export', and you get to the options... except that say a Cube of however many points you want to and tell him where to save it. I found that with my GH3, sometimes with work in the open air with a sky bright-ish with the Sun around but just outside of an edge banding is quite possible... and 'hand-kitchen' these clips or using a Cube 64 - point is necessary.

  • SpeedGrade does not open my sequence when I send it via the direct link of Premiere Pro. Problems known/patches?

I finished my sequence and tries to send to SG-CC15 and the page opens and then nothing.  No display or anything like that

Here are the lines of the response of the newspaper which concerned me:

    : No detectable display

    Driver: Driver not detectable

["GlobalSettings"]  Failed to load user settings, using the default values.

    Any thoughts here?

Thanks for your help!  Finally, I just uninstall the first and Speedgrade and then installed both and that solved the problem!

  • Problems using keyframes in Speedgrade.

Hey guys, I use Speedgrade for a few months now with underage girls only poorly, but I finally reached a road block I can't seem to find the answer after google search.

I have a video clip that was shot with a lens that the opening of the changes you zoom in or zoom out. (Canon 24-70mm L 1: 2. 8 - 5.6 if any curious)

So suddenly the opening opens two stops then closes 2 stops down as he's leaving CU WS and return to a CU.

So after seeing a tutorial on how to do it, I applied a "Preset" I saved another clip I colored for use as a primary correction and then to place my first keyframe... Well the viewer went all crazy and settles on the blown white screen or a black screen.

In case of problem until now:

I thought I might be because the clip is a multi-cam clip, but I passed first and brought it back with no luck.

I thought it would be the predefined aspect, which I gave him, even if she's afraid to make an entirely new category for each keyframe, I thought it was worth a shot.

It seemed to work normally during the major part of the clip, but when I tried the first keyframe of the clip of grade it would spaz out on me once again.

    In conclusion:

I'd like to think there is just a simple button, I'm not pushing. One thing that is different about my timeline that contrast of video tutorials, it's that when I watch a tutorial and it puts a keyframe is just a picture-unique key, when I put my first keyframe sound automatically a keyframe dynamic (dissolve) related to the first frame of the clip.

    Screenshots

    http://imgur.com/a/tBw5S

OK... played with keyframes in 2015.0.1 earlier. Keyframes 'introduction' is now a dynamic supposed at the beginning of the clip, click on the first. In other words... go to the bottom of your calendar, click the keyframe button and it immediately puts in place a key-box dynamic link to the first image in this clip. Click the keyframe button again, transforms a static keyframe in the keyframe. Now go down the line and set your next keyframe, it will be the first click link the two.

The old process (as shown in the tutorial) has created a static keyframe first click and a second click he turned to a dynamic. This was reversed as indicated above.

I'm on PC and set a number of keyframes up for changes using two eyes and ready simple grade-changes to the departure of opacitity 100% to 0% opacity. Both worked very well, which is not help you if your from is not. It works better for you on the updated version?

  • Problems with playback paused, first Pro CC 2015 and SpeedGrade CC 2015

Hey, I encountered recently some problems running first on my Mac. I have recently updated to version beta of OS X El Capitan, but I think I used first since then without any problems. Recently, whenever the video is paused, the image becomes discolored and strongly pixelated and rasterized. When I play the video, it is fluid and everything seems normal, but as soon as he suspended, it goes back to the discolored photo. Thinking it was just a glitch that would not appear anywhere else, I went to edit together a project runs, but when I linked to the wire to 2015 CC SpeedGrade, the image is the same picture faded from first, and, as before, it only shows when stopped. What color correction, the program saw the discolored part of video as the true color of the video, making me to not be able to correct the actual color of the video. When it is combined with first, the initial problem happened again where he showed only the part discolored when paused.

Sorry if it's confusing, I tried my best to describe it! Any idea what I could do to fix this?

    Hi Aidan,

The same thing happens when video converter is passed to the software only?

  • CS6 Premeire of Speedgrade CS6 EDL import error

    Speed Grade EDL Error.JPG

So, I exported a first EDL to try and then import it and rank my images but I get this error and can't seem to fix it because I don't know what that means color.

I am currently being updated on my software and find this error to be weird.

    Help please

EDL files exported from first always fail during the import of SpeedGrade CS6

they had to remove all bland, transitions, titles, overlays, and have all of the video clips on a track for speedgrade take the edl.

as neil pointed out, the best part of speedgrade is the function of direct link. If this method is slow, make sure that all the effects are disabled in first before entering speedgrade to help performance.

  • SpeedGrade CC 2014.2 build 8.2x51 reading smoothing / jerky 4K with GPU R9 295 x 2 - it uses only 2 GB of RAM (8.1 Windows 64-bit), Mac OS - same problem

    Hello, guys

    I have following configuration:

    I7-5960 x 4.3 GHz

    32 GB DDR4 RAM

ATI 295 x 2 8 GB (Gpusniffer.exe watch 3072 MB on each unit of Hawaii)

    Samsung XP941 Ultra M.2 (> 1000 Mb/s)

    Some 850 Pro SSD for H.264 4 k source

Latest version of Speedgrade CC 16/02/2015 (DUAL MONITOR SETUP - 2560 x 1440 for Interface and 4096 x 2160 for previewing)

I work with a lot of short 10-15 seconds 4 K 4096 x 2160 24 fps H.264 clips of Panasonic GH4. Import their first CC as some stabilization warp, cut them, save the project and opened in Speedgrade CC all are fantastic smooth in first CC.

Speedgrade - a simple color - exhibition, some keyframes and simple scoring correction for certain substances. I use the GPU acceleration for sure have lots of 4096 x 2160 4K 24 fps. But it is not flexible and smooth after that a correction is applied. Everything is jerky and freezes the first seconds, when I press 'PLAY'. I used resources, the Manager monitor tasks (Winodws 8.1 64-bit) and Afterburner. And there's what I discovered:

    • Afterburner shows the use of mono-GPU (as we know it for playback only 1 GPU used) the same amount as in first. SpeedGrade CC use 2, 5 GB of VRAM. Also, if I use one zero effect - accelerating gpu, like "transform", for example, imported first, I get "not enough GPU resources" message in Speedgrade. Afterburner shows, CC Speedgrade tried to use more, and then Max 3GB available VRAM during that time. So I turn off these effects, before you open a project in Speedgrade.

    • CPU is low (15%) use, perhaps a little lower, then in the first CC

    • Disc - 3-10%, H.264 is weak on this subject

    • RAM! -is the problem. I have been authorized to use the 29 GB of RAM for Adobe apps. Speedgrade CC use no more then 2-3 GB according to the the Task Manager (for most 2 GB) and 8.1 Windows resource monitor 64-bit Pro. After I finished with the color correction, a project open in first DC, work with lumteri on smooth and! First CC use 9 to 10 GB of RAM to play the same music video in full resolution smoothly!

I already reinstalled everything, including drivers for the GPU, 8.1 for Windows and Adobe CC even result.

    MacBook Pro 15 retina end 2013 with i7-4960HQ/16 GB of RAM/Geforce 750 m UPDATE!

Under Mac Os Yosemite 10.10.2 - same situation here. First CC use 5 GB (of 11 GB of available) 4096 x 2160 Prores 422 HQ and is usable, smooth with a few drops of frame.

SpeedGrade CC uses 2.5 GB RAM of 4096 x 2160 and it is impossible to use plenty of 4096 x 2160. Only 1/2 resolution of overview is smooth and usable on the screen of the laptop. 4096 x 2160 externally connected through Thunderbolt monitor, it's a lot rougher, I think it's hard for 750 m with 2 GB of VRAM.

UPDATE! Previous version (CC 2014) of first CC and CC Speedgrade Windows 8.1 64-bit - even situation.

    What do you think?

My opinion - Speedgrade CC is not optimized for 4K resolution. First CC is good for 4K.

BTW, for more information, latest AMD catalyst driver 14.12 omega has a problem with my R9 295 x 2 and engine reading Mercury (MPE) OpenCL - just black with sound screen, when I turn on the GPU acceleration. So I use the previous version of 14.9. With 14.12 GPUsniffer.exe found a device with 4 GB of VRAM GPU and a GPU with 3 GB of VRAM (normally obligatorily 3 + 3 GB 295 x 2 Dual GPU radeon chip).

    Yes

So, finally, Speedgrade CC works 95% smooth time with 4096 * 2160 H.264. But it was necessary to turn off all effects in first Pro CC. Nothing new. I found a few discussions on this fact, but after that I spent some time with experiences.

Stabilizer Warp even alone is enough to make Speedgrade CC really agitated. 'Transform' effect simply blocks Speedgrade CC with "GPU resources.

Each effect uses some VRAM (for Warp stabilizer 200-300 MB). After you have disabled all effects had load VRAM under/near 2 GB for the little clip 4096 * 2160.

First CC flies simply with unique x 290 or 295 x 2 (which is the only x 290 during playback). Even 3GB VRAM available software Adobe CC.

PS Macbook Pro retina 15 "with Geforce 750 M 2 GB VRAM would work smoothly with Prores to half a preview/playback resolution - 2048 * 1080. CC CC SpeedGrade or Premiere Pro with 1/2.

  • First Pro EDL does not not good frame rate in SpeedGrade

Having badly to get as a PCA from agency to open correctly in SpeedGrade. EDL export entry in SpeedGrade as a sequence of 24 fps, even if the sequence of the organism is 25 fps. Then when I try to link the media in the Official Journal the I get an error of frame rates do not match. Most annoying and I cannot understand where he's going poorly. Don't want too use dynamic links because I can't have layers in Sg ranking using this workflow (as far as I know, although I would be happy to be refuted). Any ideas anyone? See you soon. Pete.

Yes, add PrPro adjustment layers is the way correct & 'designed' to get more ranking layers to use SpeedGrade. Even though I forgot to add one before going to the Sg, he seconds to PrPro, 'A new element-> adjustment layer' dragged in the sequence, then back to Sg.
